Question

Rejected AI images

  • April 4, 2023

I need help, as about a hundred of my images have been rejected as "Similar Image(s) Already Submitted." The problem is that there is no reason for the rejection because I don't have any similar content on my account; there are no images that resemble or even images on the same or similar topic, so an error has occurred. Who can I contact for help to have the images reviewed again? Thank you.

Hi @Randy83 ,

For the benefit of others, this issue need to be resolved in the forum. Therefore, I copy the screenshots you sent to me privately here.

Did you check all these images to confirm that all was rejected for similar? If you did not check all, I suggest you do.

Looking at these without checking your profile I can see some similar that would earn refusal. Some examples are:

The pineapple

The shells (they are looking too close)

The blue image that looks like some out of space image

The ball

The other that looks like earth

The flowers

The night table

The cat

The face to face

The image looking like biological cells

The man sitting at the window

The water wave through the arch

The crowd with the back pack

The image beside the crowd image with what looks like camp fire

And the aqua and blue file with the boat

That's the list of similar here. I agree none of these files looks exactly alike, but they are too closely resemble, and can easily be confused as similar. Some of these images you could vary with distance where the subject is obviously far away while in the other closeup.

I chick some of these from your profile. The pineapples are in a sense similar to one of the two that was accepted, but still have a significant difference. I believe if you did not submit it in a large batch like this one more would have been accepted. Unfortunately, the one I prefer is one of those rejected. If you are able to add something more to the lighter colored pineapple file, for example placing the pineapple in the middle of the splash other than before it and resubmit I believe it would be accepted. I am here assuming that it is technically acceptable. So I suggest you zoom in on it and inspect it closely before you resubmit if you choose to take my suggestion.

I don't see any motor bike riding through water with a mountain backdrop like these. If none with the mountain backdrop was accepted, I suggest you check the files for errors and resubmit two of the three that was rejected - the first and the second.

My search for ship turn up nothing. My search for boat yeald a side view of the boat. I don't see any front view.

The cocktail I don't see a similar. I see one garnish with fruits, but none with fruits laid out and the base of the drinking glass. To me that is not similar.

Do not resubmit any of the balls. You have a similar. The images are looking too close.

Do not resubmit the cat. You have a similar cat accepted. You should have had a whole cat, or side, etc - a different perspective or different species.

The images below are profile search result for motorcycle, motorbike, bike and cocktail. Except you incorrectly keyword any of your files it would appear there are indeed files rejected that are not similar.

My time do not permit going through all the files but my suggestion is that you do not submit large batches in the future. That will reduce this kind of error. Check all the files rejected to confirm if they are all rejected for similar.

Best wishes

Jacquelin

Hi @Randy83 ,

If you get similar rejections it mean your submission is either the same file of they are looking close to files you have submitted before or submit it the same batch. Your files must have clear and undisputed difference. Each file must provide something new to the customer (eg. front, back, side, top and bottom of an object.) You are allowed only six similar images with new perspective.

If you like, you can post about six of what's looking close here.

Best wishes

Jacquelin

Since AI images are made from scraped stuff on the web, it's natural that people will generate similar images, and this is only going to increase. Adobe don't want a lot of similar looking pictures, and probably automate the scan for repeated elements in a submitted work. This can also happen if a lot of people take the same photo from the same place.

There is no appeal. That would cost Adobe time, and hence money. Everything is set up to reduce Adobe's costs, and if they lose a few great pics, well there will be plenty more. If you submit again, you will probably be blocked - for wasting Adobe's time.

Hello,

I'm afraid, there isn't anyone to contact.

It could well be, there are indeed 'similar' images in the database. And by the way, AI images are now as common as mud! There is nothing new under the sun - especially with AI imagery these days!

Perhaps you could upload an example. Bear in mind, there also could be other issues with the AI image.

Also, have you read the guidelines for submitting AI images?

Hi,

If you read other posts here in the forum you will find that uploading hundreds of pictures at once is not so good. The chance that these are very similar in content is very high. It will probably be best to submit a maximum of 10 images on Adobe Stock at a time, making sure tofollow the guidelines exactly.

https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/generative-ai-content.html

If its generative AI based, please look into these instructions and follow them to the letter: https://community.adobe.com/t5/stock-contributors-discussions/generative-ai-submission-guidelines/td-p/13549435

If there is a REAL person in it, you need to submit a Model release signed by the person who modeled for it.
If there is a fake person in it, you must submit a Property release signed by you as the artist who created it.
Model/Property Releases:

https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/property-release.html

Keep in mind that Generative AI could take 1-2 months to review due to the immense backlog. Whatever you submit needs to be free of errors and AI imperfections. AI is notoriously bad at details and geometry. Concentrate on one asset at a time. When that's perfect, move on to others. Quality is what counts, not quantity. Make every submission count. Don't waste the reviewer's time with junk submissions. It could come back to bite you later.

Thank you for your response, but it is not helpful at all. All images have been submitted according to the rules, tagged according to the rules, the title states that they are AI-generated, marked as illustrations, and I have no similar content on my account. If the only reason for rejection is that 100 files were submitted at once, then it is obviously an Adobe mistake. I don't understand how there is no possibility for them to be reviewed again because it is clearly an error of the person who marked all of them as "Similar Image(s) Already Submitted" just because 100 files were submitted at once.

"I don't understand how there is no possibility for them to be reviewed again "

I told you why. It would cost Adobe time and money. Easier for them to lose a few good images. So, no appeals.
