Review delays. I now have assets that have been in a review status for over 3 months.

I now have assets that have been in a review status for over 3 months.  These are not AI images.  I really don't believe the line about "first come, first reviewed" as I had several assets that I uploaded at the same time that were reviewed within a couple weeks (i.e. a couple months ago).  If it's really first in first out for reviews, all of these assets ahould have been reviewed at about the same time.   Either the review times have continued to get worse or there is a glitch in the algorithm used to determine the order of assts that need reviewing.  Any ideas ?

I really do believe they have a hole in their process. I have submitted
other images recently and they are being reviewed within a few days. I
deleted and resubmitted the images that were taking so long. One was
reviewed quickly, the other 2 are still sitting there. The images in
question include a barn that is in the Grand Teton National Park. I wonder
if they are getting rerouted to someone for trademark review and it gets
hung up there. There should be no trademark/privacy issues in this case
and there are already many similar photos featuring this same "famous""
barn.

Possibly ended up in the queue of a different Moderator. Not all of your submissions are routed to the same Moderator.

I wish we could hear from more contributors who AREN'T experiencing long review delay times, along with the types of assets they have been submitting. Of course, people who aren't having issues are not likely to come to this forum and complain about it.

Here was my experience today with reviews (times are approximate):

11 am: 6 accepted assets and 1 rejection

6 pm: 4 assets accepted

8 pm: 1 asset accepted (submitted and accepted within minutes)

11 pm: 1 asset accepted (submitted and accepted within minutes)

Or something along those lines. Of these, the 11 am and 6 pm assets were accepted in the order submitted (kind of, as they skipped over my images of food and went directly to my portraits). This has been the case for the last three days, where my food images are ignored. Maybe they are next in line for being overlooed for months.

In any event, I feel your pain, since I went through a period of two or three months of no reviews, so I know how frustrating it can be. In short, there is no logic as to how assets are being (or not being) reviewed these days. It is definitely no longer, first come first served.

I’m touching wood, on my side, I don't really have any issues with moderation for the moment.

I send about 4 to 5 images per day, and generally it takes 3 to 4 days to either be rejected or accepted. I never send large batches of images, but my submissions are regular. Sometimes, moderation only takes a few hours, and I don’t have any explanation for that !!!!

My oldest images were submitted 7 days ago. I had 13 assets reviewed today (12 accepted, 1 rejected). Of those, 8 were reviewed this morning and 6 this afternoon. I can understand new contributors waiting for considerable lengths on time before their first reviews, but for people who've been submitting for years, something seems wrong.

8 months is excessive by any measure.

Delete and resubmit.

It will take such a long time to delete and re keyword hundreds of images, theres gotta be a better way.

same here.....

seems to me that AI is preferred now and gets through within days.

I wonder if the accepted pictures being in review for 3 months do not appear as new anymore in the database and are basically useless

When your assets are finally reviewed, they will have a new data stamp "dated added to database", so they will still be treated as a fresh content, no matter no long you've been waiting for them to be reviewed.

I'm still waiting for 1 year while it's under review. It's really confusing what made him wait this long.

Adobe rarely responds in this user-to-user forum.

1-3 months is an average wait time -- sometimes less, sometimes more. We don't know if Adobe is having staffing challenges or technical problems.  They don't communicate that to users.

Stock still receives thousands of assets per week and backlogs are to be expected. If you've waited this long, it probably won't be much longer.  Be patient, work on other projects.  Submit to other services if you wish.

The long-established rule of "first-in/first-out" no longer seems to apply. I have older files waiting for 2-3 months, while newer files get reviewed more rapidly. None of us seems to understand Adobe's reviewing procedures these days. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to hasten the process. We just have to be patient and trust that they will get around to reviewing all files eventually.

We are all waiting. Whatever the reason. No sense in speculating.

The frustration is there is really no one with knowledge of how this
process works that we can contact. I was a software developer for 35
years, and there is often skepticism on the part of customer service, that
every issue is user error and not a software glitch. If the image review
process actually does have bugs in it, it may only be through contributor
feedback that Adobe realizes they have an issue. If the review process
is "working," Adobe has done a poor job managing expectations in the
contributor community. I don't mind "waiting" but I would feel really
stupid if I am waiting on something that is related to how I am submitting
my images, or a bug in their process.

Adobe is well aware of the review delays, which are also being reported daily in the Adobe Stock Discord Server, which is actively monitored by several Adobe employees. I'm sure they're also getting many direct emails and contacts about review time. It's definitely not a "bug" that they've overlooked. They continue to add between 500,000 and a million images a day to the database, so the moderation team is busy and productive. It appears that Adobe has intentionally modified the procedures by which they allocate images to the moderation queues, for reasons unknown to us.

First come, first served is no longer the case, nor has it been for the last few months. Maybe even half a year? You could be on to something about the algorithm being messed up. One more theory among many. Knock on wood, but I have not been affected by the issue lately and I have an average of 6 assets reviewed per day. However, a couple months back, I was experiencing the problem for a good two months, with reviews trickling in at 1 or 2 per day or no reviews at all. Presently, my assets are being reviewed in the order submitted (more or less), though there are occasions when I might upload four or five assets late at night and one of the five will be reviewed within minutes. Hard to say what's really going on.
