How to create a halftone square pattern???

I was wondering how to create a halftone square pattern like the image below (except squares and not circles lol)?



I tried messing around with the Tile Sampler and a few other nodes to no avail. I want to create a pattern of squares that starts out large, then gets smaller, and then gets smaller again.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
