Hello @PixelFun,

While you may load both Only Substance 3D files (SBS) and Substance 3D asset files (SBSAR) in Substance 3D Designer, only the former lets you open and edit its graphs.

Substance 3D asset files (SBSAR) contain graphs which algorithms are compiled and cannot be opened or edited. These files are read-only, and meant to render its compiled graphs as well as let users edit its exposed parameters.

You can learn more about these files in the File types section of this page from Designer's documentation. I hope this is helpful and informative!

Best regards.
