Publish to different output formats?

I use the same substance graph in Unity and in Houdini. For some reason Houdini's Labs Substance Material node expects textures to be 16-bit while it's best to use 8-bit textures in Unity. Is there any way to automate the publishing of different SBSARs with different output formats? Currently I do it manually by setting the output format of the node before the Output nodes.

Hello @HypoSecant,

Publishing Substance 3D assets (*.sbsar) out of Substance 3D files (*.sbs) can indeed be automated, using the SBSCooker tool included in Designer's installation.

Then, exporting the outputs of Substance graphs to bitmaps can be automated as well using the SBSRender tool also included.

You may learn more about these tools by taking a look at their documentation.

Please note the SBSBaker tool is not included, as it is part of the Substance Automation Toolkit which is a separate product for teams and enterprise.

I hope this is helpful!

Best regards.
