My light was turned off and the PC turned off, after that I can’t start my project, although I saved the project before the light turned off.

What should I do? Can I pull the layers out of this broken file? Or something else? Or somehow run?

You could try to open an auto-save, but I'm afraid your project is lost. As you probably already know, this kind of abrupt shutdown can create many issues and unfortunately, a corrupted file is one of them.

Why though? Same just happened to me a few minutes ago. If it was already saved prior to the crash there is no reason why this should occur. My auto save is quite far back so I just lost a lot of work because of this. Its surprising i can find threads with this issue all the way back to 2015.
