How to export only the normal texture map instead of Height?

Hello,

I paint my model using normals and height. My final destination is Rhinoceros 3D, and I need only the normal. There is no output template for Rhino. Anyway, when exporting, there are these two maps, normal, containing some detail, and the height containing the critical part. As a workaround, I'm trying to combine the two maps using Substance Designer. This is not the way to go but I do not how to do it the correct way.

I already painted my model. I need only the normal bump texture map.

Hi @AlanMattano,

Thanks for the question.

When you're painting with the height channel inside Substance 3D Painter, it automatically converts this height in the normal map.

Therefore, your exported normal map should contain all the details from the height channel.

I do not know how, but it was not exporting the bump inside the normal map. Only the high was correct. The normal was exported flat, and the high gray bump was right.

Also, If I export as Normal is flat, but as DirectX, the bump is there but not so intense.
