That's insane! It's odd out here in NC where people can buy fireworks that are not legal in CA. Here's a photo of some home owners setting off fireworks, across the cove, from us.

    Legal or not, people in Calif still bring in illegal fireworks. Neighborhood pets are traumatized by rogue rockets & M80s for days leading up to and after the city sponsored fireworks shows.  😞  

     

    Owing to fire safety and air-quality concerns, Grand Park in downtown Los Angeles broke from traditional fireworks this year.  They staged a high tech, 500 drone lightshow synced to music.  This technology will likely replace fireworks shows entirely.

    Yea, I saw the drone show on TV. Pretty cool. Our dogs would have much preferred it over fireworks.
