Completely legal, this goes to Microsoft's server to download the ISO

FREE EDITION: Hasleo Windows ISO Downloader — easily get Windows from Microsoft @ AskWoody

Personally i would never ever download Windows from any other source than Microsoft. No need to get it from other unknown sites when it is so easily available directly from the source.

Such as:

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

Download Windows 8.1 Disc Image (ISO File) (microsoft.com)

This IS from Microsoft... it is just a tool for those who don't know how to navigate Microsoft's support pages

That may be true, but i would never use any third party non-Microsoft tool that are not even approved by Microsoft to launch on the computer. Why do i need a third party tool when i can get it from Microsoft without a third party tool?

I would not download Microsoft Office or Adobe apps with a third party app that are not even certified by Microsoft either. For security reasons this should always be avoided.

Knowing how to navigate the Microsoft page is not necessary. Googling "download windows 10" will take you there directly since it is the first hit. That´s easier than to google up an unknown tool and then get to Microsoft.

Yes, tools can be great but one need to be aware of the security issues that they can introduce. For the latter reason alone they should be avoided.

You don't need that free software to download the ISO.

Just go to Microsoft and click on the Create Windows (version) installation media button.
