Did you create an encoding preset with all settings/parameters set to Match Source or were they set to specific settings (e.g.: Width: 1920, Height: 1080, Frame Rate: 29.97, etc.)? If you created a Match Source preset, then when you import it in Render and replace, set Source to Sequence or Individual Clips or Preset (depending on your preference) and set Format to QuickTime. Your preset should show up in the Preset dropdown list. Source: Sequence and Individual Clips will only display Match Source presets. Source: Preset will display all presets. If you created an encoding preset with specific settings, then set Source to Preset and set Format to QuickTIme. The preset should show up in the Preset dropdown list.

When you create the Ingest preset in Adobe Media Encoder > Ingest Preset Settings > Transfer section, only check the checkbox for Transcode files to Destination (do Not check the checkbox for Copy files to Destination). This preset will now only transcode the Proxy file and will not copy the original/Full Res files. Hope this helps.

Have the file now and appears to have same issue as reported by other Nikon users. Issue has been logged and is under investigation. Just to be clear on this file. Should it actually be 50p (50 frames per second progressive) or 50i (25 frames per second interlaced). In 12.0.1, I see this file imported as 50i UFF (25 fps). MediaInfo reports Frame rate: 50 fps, but Original frame rate: 25 fps, Scan type: Interlaced, Scan order: Separate fields, Scan order, Top Filed First. This would suggest that it should be 50i UFF (25 fps), but I wanted to confirm with you. Thank you!

Thank you for the sample file! I've started investigation and I noticed the following: - 12.0 & 12.0.1 report the file as 29.97i UFF (Upper Field First) - 12.1 & 12.1.1 report the file as 14.99i UFF You had mentioned that you shot the footage on Nikon 7100 as 60fps. Was it actually recorded as 60p (59.94 fps) or 60i (29.97 fps)? Looking at MediaInfo, it reports Frame rate: 59.94, but Original frame rate: 29.97. It also reports Scan type: Interlaced, Scan type, store method: Separated fields, Scan order: Top Field First. So, it appears that the file should be 29.97i UFF, but I wanted to confirm with you. Thank you, again.

I did verify that in 12.0.1, this file imported in Premiere Pro as 29.97, but in 12.1 and 12.1.1 it imports as 14.99. I wanted to make sure that 29.97 is what you recorded and was correct as QuickTime Player, VLC and MediInfo all report frame rate as 59.94 (MediaInfo does report Original frame rate as 29.97, however).

As mentioned earlier, this is an issue that is being investigated. In 12.1 and 12.1.1, the workaround is to set the Project panel to List View, then Reveal in Project from the Timeline will select the file. If you wish to use Reveal in Project while Project panel is in Icon View, you can roll back to 12.0.1 (issue was introduced in 12.1).

It sounds like you are using MPEG4 Format. If so, you will need to set Level to Level 5. MPEG4 does have limitations, so exporting to Format: H.264 may better suit your needs (allows for more options and even has Youtube presets).

An issue with some Elgato files (imports as 1 frame duration) is under investigation. It is believed that these files should import correctly in Premiere Pro 12.0.1, just make sure to delete Media Cache before importing. If everyone experiencing this issue could confirm this is occurring with Elgato files, that would help our investigation. If you could also provide sample file(s), that is also appreciated. This error will come up when your Documents folder and/or its contents (including the Adobe folder) may not be modifiable. Make sure that you have permission access to make modifications in the Documents folder and all of it's sub folders. For example, go to Documents and open the Adobe folder. Try to add a file to the Adobe folder and Premiere Pro folder. If you get a warning that you don't currently have permission to access this folder, then you need to change the permissions so that you have rights to modify these folders.

For the Proxy clip that is not in synch, can you verify that the Proxy clip matches the original/Full Resolution clip? When the Proxy is attached, select the clip, right-click and select Properties. You should see Properties for the original clip and the Proxy clip below that. Make sure that the frame rate, duration, fielding and audio channels match between the original and Proxy. If these four items in the Proxy do not match the original clip, you can run into issues.

Could you try disabling Hover Scrub in the Media Browser (right-click on Media Browser tab and uncheck Hover Scrub) while set to Thumbnail View or set the Media Browser to List View? There is an issue being investigated on Mac 10.13 where Premiere can stop responding if you are using clips from the Media Browser set to Thumbnail View and Hover Scrub is enabled. Thank you.

This issue is being investigated. So far, I have seen this issue only occur on Mac OS 10.13 (could not reproduce on Mac 10.12 nor Windows) with the Media Browser set to Thumbnail View and Hover Scrub enabled. Possible workarounds are to disable Hover Scrub in Thumbnail View (right-click on Media Browser tab and uncheck Hover Scrub) or set the Media Browser to List View.
