Hi all. Can you verify this issue does or does not occur in the latest update (21.2.1)? We shipped a fix for this bug in 21.2.1 but due to limited hardware of everyone working from home, we weren't able to verify the fix on all the different hardware configurations. Let us know if the fix worked for you or not. Thanks!

21.2.1 was released yesterday and has a fix for this. Please update and verify that the bad pan snapping and marquee selections work as expected now. Thanks!

Also do either of you have gaming hardware (video card/mouse) with mouse polling set higher than 120Hz?

Thanks for the added detail. If you set it to Recommended 100% or other OS Scaling settings, does it still happen?

Also, what is your OS Scaling set to? What percent and is it the (Recommended) scaling? We have another bug we're fixing where panning snaps back to original location and selection coordinates are wrong.

Hi Daniel and Morris. Is this still a problem in the most recent update that came out last week (21.2)?

Hi Alan. Have you tried with the latest release (21.2)? I can't reproduce the problem you're describing. If you are still experiencing this issue, can you attach a gif or recording of it? Thanks!

Thanks for confirming aleX! There is still an open bug with build-up where you can get blobs at the start of your stroke. That'll be fixed in the next update.

There are still existing Photoshop bugs/issues with that in the current release. If you remove or disable that and make sure Win Ink is enabled in Wacom settings (checkbox in lower left corner of Calibarte tab), you should have full pressure sensitivity back.

Thanks for the additional info. We're actively working on fixes for these issues. It may have something to do with a bug in how Photoshop is handling either multi-monitor coordinate and/or how PS is dealing with OS Display Scaling. On one of my test machines I can repro the bad panning and selections when OS Display Setting is set to 200% but it doesn't repro at 150%. That may be a temporary workaround until we get this fixed and in an update.

Cause of this issue (Pressure sensitivity loss on Mac): changing focus away from Photoshop and then back.
Workaround to avoid this or restore sensitivity without relaunch: If you switch focus back to PS by using the stylus to paint, you'll experience this. Instead, switch focus back to PS via CMD+Tab.
Also, if you run into this, using the eraser end of the stylus will restore pressure sensitivity.
Bug fix for this will be out in the next update, coming very soon!

@maartenl46045620 Do you have "PSUserConfig.txt" in your Photoshop preferences folder? I'm wondering if you're using WinTab.

Haha, no, turning them off would not be an acceptable workaround. The reason I asked is so that we can try to reproduce in-house. Once we can do that, we can fix it. Thank you for replying with that info - it's very helpful.

Do you have more than one monitor? If yes, how are they arranged? For example is primary on top or bottom, left or right? I'm wondering if coordinates are getting messed up/confused.

Pen pressure loss was fixed on Win with 21.1.3. It is still broken on Mac. This issue reproduces when switching focus away from Photoshop and then back. Currently working on fixing that.

That issue with the dots at the front of the stroke is a bug that's being worked on. The current workaround is to Disable: airbrush-style build-up effects (button in the tool options bar at the top).

Hi all. We just released 21.1.3 that fixes the periodic pressure loss on Windows as well as issues with Tilt/Projection. We are still working on the issue on Mac where pressure sensitivity is sometimes dropped when switching focus away from Photoshop and then back.

Try this on Mac: Quit Photoshop. Go into System Preference > Security & Privacy > Accessibility. If Photoshop is listed and checked, uncheck it. You'll need to unlock to make changes. Also make sure Wacom drivers listed there ARE checked. Relaunch Photoshop. Do you still have the same issue?
