Sorry for the long delay.  The problem inexplicably went away for a while, then just as inexplicably returned. System Config: MB: Asus X99E CPU: I7-6800K Mem: 48GB DDR4 3200 Graphics: NVIDIA RTX 3070 FE Drives:   Data: WD Black 4TB, 1.4TB free   Bridge Cache: Sandisc SSD 240GB, 195GB free OS: Windows 10 Pro Ver 21H1 Build 19043.1415 Bridge Ver: 12.0.0.234   Files/Formats Doesn't matter.  This happens in every folder, some with all psd files, some with all dng files, some with a mixture of dng and psd, some with a mixutre of nef, arw, and dng files.  It also doesn't matter if the folder is on an SSD or standard drive.   Thumbnail quality & Preview generation settings: Identical to your suggestion above.   Sample files on which you are observing the issue: Again, doesn't matter.   Problems: When I open Bridge, even in the same folder I've been using for days, it takes 15-20 seconds to "Build Critera."  Some thumbnails appear in the Content window, but if I scroll down, none or just a few scattered thumbnails are shown.  Bridge consumes up to 99.4% of the CPU.  It dosn't seem to matter how long I have Bridge open - after several hours, it's still consuming over 90% of the CPU.  Opening a file in ACR takes 20-30 seconds.  All controls are laggy at best.   Your products are simply unusable like this.  I spent a lot of time collecting and sending log files the last time this occurred (in a previous release).  I'm willing to do that again.  I would like to continue to use Adobe products, but not when I can't get anything done. ... Hardly.  My configuration is exactly as stated by gary_sc.  I have an I7-6800K, 48GB memory, a Western Digital Black 4TB drive with 1.7TB free, nothing else running, and Bridge still takes almost 20 seconds to display thumbnails in the content window in a folder with 394 psd files.  And it only has finished the images in the content window at that time.  When I scroll down, it starts again and takes another forever to display the next set.   I've rinstalled Bridge, cleared the entire cache (which is on a dedicated SSD drive with 46% free space)...  nothing helps.  I also moved an entire folder with 2.6K files, a mixture of dng and psd files, to a separate dedicated SSD and performance didn't improve.   Clearly, someting is going on and based on everything I've tried, it doesn't appear to be my PC. ... Hi, Rikk. Not really.  That resets the sliders when I leave a tool.  If I go to a different tool then go back, they're all set to default.  Yes, I can select an edit that I had made earlier, but if I'm editing a new similar image, they are reset to default, which is really no better than being set for a different tool. When that box is not checked, the settings persist when I leave a tool for a different tool or open a new image.  I'm requesting that each tool have it's own settings that persist from image to image. Currently, Adobe by a mile.  But that's primarily because I have over 3000 images on Adobe and a few hundred on the others.  I only recently started submitting to other royalty free stock agencies, primarily because Adobe has been rejecting so many for "Technical Reasons" that the others accept and sell.  I got to the point where I felt I was wasting my time submitting to Adobe.  But I'll keep the account open since I sell enough to get Photography Creative Cloud free every year. ... I suspect you're right... different moderators.  Or the same moderator on different days depending on whether they had a fight with their spouse that morning.   Your example images are pure black.  In any case, the artificats are cause by saving the image as a .jpg in PS.  They don't exist in the .psd at 400%.  This is probably exacerbated by having to reduce the image size significantly to get it under the 10MB limit for this forum.   If Adobe is rejecting images with the wrong reason code, they are not doing themselves or their contributor community any good. ... Hi, Nancy.   Generally every 3 years.  I only shoot about 10,000 shots per year on average, so that seems to work well.   Thanks for the compliment on my sunset shots.  I'm curious, though.  If the problem is that there are too many sunset shots, why did they accept one and not the other one?  And why reject it for "Technical Issues?"  If my two images are too similar, why didn't they reject one for "Similar already submitted."  And if they're sick of sunsets, why didn't the reject it for "Overabundant category?"   There are millions and millions of technically & visually perfect images of a woman wearing a headset in a call center smiling at you.  Yet people still submit them by the hundreds per month, and the new ones that are also technically & visually perfect are accepted.   Not trying to be combative.  It's just very frustrating when Adobe rejects images that I know to be of sufficient quality and interest that they should be accepted.  In fact, Adobe accepted 5 very similar images to the one they rejected.  All were taken with the same camera and settings within minutes of each other, and all processed in the same batch with the identical ACR settings.  So there is no way that one image should be rejected for "Technical Issues."  Can you tell which of the two I posted was rejected?   Meanwhile, Shutterstock and Dreamstime happily accepted all of my latest submission, while Adobe rejected 8 of 10 for "Technical Issues."  Yes, I know they all have different criteria.  This isn't my first rodeo. ... White balance is incorrect, in your opinion.  But it's only that - your opinion.  Unless your interest is in documenting reality.  Then the white balance would be incorrect for you.  But that's not my goal.   My goal is to create compelling images that catch people's eye and make them want to linger with the image, rather than flipping the page or clicking the next link.  I believe that is what most purchasers of stock photography are after - something to make the viewer stop and be interested enough to get engaged with the advertiser's message.   So the white balance and saturation are correct - for my goal.  You may like it or not.  I do.  But in the end, it is nothing more than our two individual opinions. ... Abambo,   I completely agree.  As I said, it's Adobe's right to accept or refuse any submission for any reason, or no reason at all.  It's in Adobe's interest to accept images that will sell.  I would like to think  😉  that my images are saleable.   Early on (15+ years ago), I obsessed over rejections.  Now, after several thousand images accepted, I normally move on - as you said.  This one is just hard to swallow because I spent so much time and effort before submitting to be sure they would not be refused.  Oh well...  lesson learned.   ~ Scott ... Abambo, I certainly understand that it's Adobe's right to decide what to accept or reject, for any reason or no reason at all.  However, if they are tightening restritions, the new restrictions should apply equally to files already accepted.  There is no point in instituting a new criteria that they consider important enough to refuse new files, yet leave existing files which fail that criteria available for license.   All in all, it's just very frustrating to spend the time and effort to research and verify that there is no reason for Adobe to refuse the images, only to have Adobe refuse the images. ... Looking at the quality of the majority of files already on Adobe Stock, there is no way that they were submitted by professional photographers who understand, much less would take the time and effort to obtain a property release before submitting them.   Besides, Adobe refused my files for IP violation.  They did not move the files to the "Pending" folder requesting a property release, as they have with others of my submissions. ...
