Thanks for the screenshot! I had a little bit of luck by generating my own source image, uploading it as a composition reference, and then choosing different effects. The only prompt I gave firefly was "apply effect to composition reference" and it did a much better job of retaining the shape/composition, rather than creating new shapes. Some effects did generate new shapes regardless of the prompt.   Were you inputting the same prompt every time? The "stone building looming against a stormy sky"?    Try uploading your composition reference, choosing your art style, then replace your descriptive prompt with the instruction "apply effect to composition reference." See what that gets you. I would also recommend trying different Firefly models to see what it gives you.
