When I move an object or image in Photoshop, all these little numbers pop up showing the size or something as I move it. It's very annoying and seems to slow me down and I am hoping there is a way to shut it off. Can you tell me how to stop this?

I know this has been talked to death but today I went to my Photoshop temporary files to delete them and the only thing I see is files that can't be edited. Am I in the wrong place? How do I delete these temporary files? Or any other Photoshop files that might slow me down?

I have G Drive where I keep overflow on a USB drive. I have F Drive for the same thing but internal. Yes, I have been bugging my computer guy for more drives and space. My Windows drive, C, has been known to get into the red and once Photoshop would not even open until I moved some files out. What can I do to get more scratch files? I am attaching 3 screenshots, let me know if you need more. I especially want to know if I can delete everything in that TEMP folder.

I keep running out of computer space. I have added more and even more but still I really don't have enough space. Photoshop is taking up a great deal of it. My question is this: Is there anything, files maybe, in Photoshop that can be deleted/removed? Maybe something that is not really necessary?

I am trying to run an action and all the steps have to be run manually. This is a large action and it takes too long to do it that way, plus the wear and tear on my mouse finger. This same action has run automatically in the past but refuses to do it now. Could this be a Photoshop problem?

I am clicking the play button right after the painting step. Then it freezes. I checked and the action is now $6 at PSDDude. It was a special free action when I got mine. I did just send an email to their support address. Maybe they will help.

Yes, I sure can. As soon as I do the painting, clicking on play doesn't work anymore. If I change to Smart Object manually, it still stays stuck where it is. Thank you.

Hello, I'm not sure if I can get help with PS Actions here but I will ask anyway. Just started using the Dispersioon action after letting it sit for a long time. I can get to the "paint over the area" step and then it says to convert to Smart Object. Then it is stuck. I remember it did work fine when I last used it. I am using the latest version of Photoshop.

This thread is marked as solved but it is not solved. Here is an update: UPDATE: I did an experiment to help me find out why my computer slows down to the point of being useless. Wasn't sure if it was the computer, Windows 10 or Photoshop causing this. So as much as I use Photoshop, I turned it off for a whole week and I have had no SLOW problems whatsoever! So it is definitely Photoshop. Can you tell me anythng I can do with Photoshop to stop this? Are there any files may be hidden that I can delete? I have checked and I do have the right requirements for running Photoshop so it's not that. So what can it be? I will soon be pulling out my hair. I am going to try and contact Adobe if there is no answer for this here.

I have posted before about my Photoshop being slow but I have more questions. After I have worked for awhile the whole computer gets so slow I have to re-boot! This started happening when I upgraded to Windows 10 and bought a new computer. I have been struggling with it for a year and added 2 memory sticks recently. Now my tech tells me that I need to buy a "true graphics station" for $2000 after I paid $1000 for this new 1 year old computer. That is impossible. My computer has always been able to handle Adobe product just fine until the changes I made. My main question is this: Do I really have to have this graphic station to use Photoshop and Illustrator? Is that what you use? Or is there something wrong here that can be fixed? I am so frustrated at having to shut down and open my work over and over.

I have had several new issues come up with Photoshop, not sure when it started but I have been staying updated. I have had images disappearing, images not responding when I click on them, images freezing and my free transform tool has completely stopped working. I don't want to have to hold down the keys everytime I resize an image but even if I go and set it like I want it it goes back to the way it was. Now the latest problem I am having is the zoom tool. How can I get one image to zoom without ALL the open images zooming?

Thank you. It is true I do open lots of windows, use lots of layers and open lots of images,, etc but I have always done that with no problem until now. I thought my memory was okay since I just had another memory stick installed. I will just continue to re-boot when necessary.

If anybody is still out there, my latest update is this: Same old thing. Whenever I turn on my computer, it operates fast and I am satisfied. Then after being open for awhile, it gets slower and slower to the point that I have to shut down or re-boot. Is there no way to find out what is causing this? I am pretty sure it's caused by Photoshop. Question: Remind me again, should I click on Use Graphics Processor or not?

Got it! Thank you, that is what I needed. I did get the link icon and click on it. This solved my problem. However going to preferences and deselecting Use Legacy Free Transform didn't help by itself.

My transforming option was set to transform without holding down shift and now it's not. I don't want to hold down shift and I read that I should use the Maintail Aspect Ratio button and that it is a link icon on the options bar. Problem is I can see no link icon on my Photoshop window. How do I get my transform option back like it was without holding shift? I am using the latest version of Photoshop
