I don´t have an explanation but i have seen this before with BMD hardware and with other hardware as well on different computers. I remeber having similar issue with the BMD Intensity Pro card. I also had the same issue when capturing video through a Canopus ADVC 300. Premiere Pro could not see/capture the video unless i lauched Canopus own software, the Picture Controller 300.   I think that some hardware requires it´s own software to "open the gates" of either the video stream and/or the audio stream coming into the card. I think this limitation is related to the hardware and not Premiere Pro, or any other software that can record audio. I found it frustrating back then.   It is strange though that you input the audio to your Avid Artist DNxIQ but need a non-Avid software to get the audio into Premiere Pro, iow BMD´s Media Express.   Have you tried as a test to record audio through the Avid Artist DNxIQ  in Adobe Audition or any other software that can record audio, without BMD Media Express running in the background? Or, input the audio to the BMD card you have, change the audio inputs in Premiere Pro to BMD and record?   If it works in Audition it should work in Premiere Pro  as well, hopefully.   ...But when Black Magic Media Express is opened and set to log and capture, audio is coming in. It seems like a folder permission issue. Try to go to Edit > Preferences > Appearence and click on Light to make the UI lighter than usual. I see the exact same here on Win 11 24H2, Premiere Pro 25.3.0. I could once solve it by open the file in Audition and then just File > Save or Ctrl+S. But that only worked one time...   But if i open the file in Audition and edit something such as trim off a fraction of a second in the end or at the start and just save the file it works every time i have tried. Not the most convinient solution, but it saves the overwrites and all duplicate files. Do any change in Audition and then save it does it as well.   The file i attached is fixed by doing that, iow open in Audition > trim off a fraction of a second > and then File > Save or Ctrl+S.    Premiere Pro likes 16-bit/48000Hz files better than 16-bit/44100Hz, so it can be worth recording/exporting 16-bit/48000Hz rather than 16-bit/48000Hz in ElevenLabs. It probably won´t work in this case, but it´s worth trying.   I create voiceover files in ElevenLabs. When I export them as a WAV file and import it into premiere Pro, it does not play back. Since the audio is getting lower it seems that the Mix track on the sequence you put into a new sequence, iow nest, is set to Multichannel. If you nest a sequence that has the Mix set to Multichannel into a sequence that has its Mix set to Stereo the result is always lower audio.   Look at the icons in the images. The one with a red circle has the Mix set to Multichannel while the one with the green circle has its Mix set to Stereo.    This is all due to the pan law and if you Google it you will find out why and how it works. All apps that work with audio behave the same.   The solution is to avoid Multichannel sequences unless you really need it and work with Stereo sequences only. Downgrade to Premiere Pro 25.2 will fix it.   Many people has the same problem and Adobe is aware of it but has not released any fix yet, but downgrading from 25.3 to 25.2 seems to work. Do you need to sharpen it or do you think you will need to sharpen the footage? My experience is that UHD footage downscaled to HD 50i looks very sharp without doing nothing at all, hence the question. Sharpening are known for introducing interlace artifacts.   As for question 2: I would work in a UHD timeline and export as 1080i50. I have done many tests and the differences are, IMHO, so very, very minor. Do some tests since you are the one that must decide what looks best for you. It also depends on your source footage, iow if you will use any 1080 or SD material in your edit. If anyone in the future want a UHD version it is very handy to have it ready rather than redo/fix/upscale much of the work.   As for question 3 i do recommend to do all cuts on even frames in a 50p timeline if you intend to export to 50i. If you do the cuts on even frames it will look good at 50i while you will see artifacts if you cut on uneven frames. Example of even frames is 00:00:15:14 while uneven is 00:00:15:13 or 00:00:15:15. Since 50 whole frames will be baked down to 25 interlaced frames this will make a difference. I could see the difference when i watched the material on a television set and i could definitely see it when i watched the material frame by frame on the computer.    If you dont do that you will have interlaced frames that have one field from clip A and one field from clip B at that cut point and they will be shown at the same time. Thats a bigger issue for me than sharpening...   I'm editing UHD 50p footage for broadcast delivery (1080i 50i XDCAM format). Based on performance issues and recommendations from the community, I'm working in either a UHD 50p timeline or HD 50p timeline rather than directly in a 50i timeline, then exporting to 50i (or call it 25i if you like) at the end.   By @Peter Reef ... What happens if you just adjust the height or the width of that panel with the mouse to force a re-draw of the UI?   I had similar issues some versions ago and if i just adjusted any panel so the panel with issues got smaller or bigger the UI had to re-draw all panels and then the empty panel got back to normal again.   The easiest may be to adjust the height of the timeline, assuming that the timeline is placed under the Audio Mixer.   ...the Audio Track Mixer panel does not show correctly.   Any ideas? You have checked the "Video is VR"-box in the export settings though the video is not, and thats why it happens. That setting is sticky, meaning that if you check it once it will stay until you un-check it.   Un-check it for the next export and see if that helps with the Vimeo issue.     I have the VR settings of my sequence set to "none"   Any ideas on how to keep my exports from defaulting to VR?    By @Kyle Kramb ... If you have Media Encoder open you can just drag&drop your sequence/s from Premiere Pro´s Project panel to Media Encoder.   By doing this you will not get the previous export settings from Premiere Pro, but you will get the previous setting you used in Media Encoder. If you get a similar error such as "This action can't be completed because the file is open in Adobe Premiere Pro 2023" i would try to import the file in a Premiere Pro project. When done, right click on the clip and choose Make Offline and in the dialog that pops up make sure to select Media files Are Deleted. Click OK and then click OK in the new dialog that pops up.   This will delete the file from your computer and hopefully it will work since this time it is Premiere Pro that deletes the file from your computer. Just type in the word sequence in the search field in the project panel and all your sequences will be found. Double click on any of them to open them.  This is an easy way to find all your sequences in a project without knowing their names. A sequence is also known as a timeline.
