Interesting. It was on normal, of i change it to fixed ratio, same problem, BUT if i change it to fixed size, then pressing alt option key makes the cross hairs go to the centre.

if i hold the mouse key first, then press option key, what is does is doube the size of the shape ie, 100px by 100px, goes to 200px by 200px and from the same origin ie outside the shape

Opened new image, nothing selected Select Ellipitcal marquee, Either hold option key first OR hold mouse key first, drag out and its NEVER from the centre.

I can do that as you say. But i cant make the initial selection with the elliptical marquee from the centre, it always starts from outside the circle or ellipse.

Thanks for the quick reply. No other keys. Ive tried it a hundred times, on two different keyboards, and on the keyboard on the macbook pro. Doesnt matter when i press Alt/option before or after or either alt option key, it never goes from the centre

Hi Forever ive been hoping the keyword seperator could be changed to a comma instead of a semi colon, is this at all possible? So many time i cut and paste keywords from bridge to 'other locations' and these location only recognise comma seperators. Would just save me another step in the work flow.

Hi Just updated to 2021, and couldnt work out why my metadata changes werent saving. Now i see a little tick and cross at the bottom, and it looks like you now have to press tick (apply) after every change. Forget to press that and youve lost all changes. what a pain Is that new? can we select auto save when we move to another image? Also, while im here, can we move the metadata fields? TITLE makes much more sence to be above description to me. Thanks for the help.

Support got me to use the "Run the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool" https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/elements-installation-error-CC-cleaner-tool.html Which is good info, but as i said, ultimately, it wasnt broken and it was designed to work like this. I dont understand how i can hide the cursor on the bottom line, is in anyway a correct UI functionality, but heyho, ive wasted enough time already on this. And this was ater a live remote session so support could actually see and try the UI im using.

Adobe support sorted it for me. Its actually SUPPOSED to work like this, and you are supposed to press the 'pencil' icon to see ALL text in a field. A step backwards, wonderful. And theres no UNDO button for when i accidently delete some data. What programme these days has no UNDO.

Are you running the same version on a mac? 10 .1.1.166 if theres not a general issue, then ive no doubt a reinstall might fix it. its just a hassle i dont need. I dont know what an uninstall and reinstall problems are going to happen, or what setup ive lost. Is there an adobe support email address? its not like im not paying for this.

Heres what happens. Ive added keywords one to fifteen (comma seperated) 1st screenshot is when i typed them in , 2nd screenshot is when ive gone onto another image, then gone back to the 1st image and clicked in the keyword box. You see i cant see the bottom line, so adding words is a pain.

if i do what you did, type loads of characters continusly, then mines fine too. Do you actually use the metadata regularly or you just did a test? Some more info. It works fine if all the keywords are done in one go, but go to another image, then back to the one your were adding keywords to, and go to add some more, then i cant see the bottom row, ie the last ones i typed.

Hi, Using Bridge 10.1.1.166 Im am fed up of the metadata area not expanding when i enter info, ie keywords. So often i can't see what im typing becuase the area doesnt open up or i cant see all the info ive typed in. Im not typing in millions of words, or descriptions, just 30-50 words etc. It is now so annoying, and its been like it for weeks and weeks. Anyone else?

what happens if we have used those 'removed' fonts on previous projects? Then the 3rd party owner asks me in the future, wheres the licence for that font? maybe it was a company logo still be used. I asked Adobe live chat, and they didnt know the answer. I was told to ask the comminuty, strange.

Hi I have many images, each with many keywords I always want those keywords in the order i enter them (Ie not alphabetically) but sometimes Bridge reorganises them into alphabetical order. This is very fustrating. How can i stop bridge doing this? Also its not obvious when this happens. Thanks

Thanks Yes worked that bit out today but, when I go to another image in another folder, then a load more words (say 30) get added to the keyword panel. These arent added under the "Other Keywords" group but in the main list. This means the main list is massive and my Persistant groups are mixed in with all words. To make this worse the list is completely sorted alphabetically. So when i move do differnt folders the non persistant words are still in the keyword panel, teh panel only gets longer and longer, the more folders i look in. If i close Bridge and open it, thats when the non persistant words dissapear. Another problem, if i then MOVE those non persistant words into a persistant group, when i next go onto an image with those keywords, they just get added again in teh main list. Bridge doesnt seem to be able to work out that i added that word into a subgroup. It just doesnt work they way I would expect it to at all. I keyword images as part of my living. Ok so even if non of that can be sorted, lets assumed going forward with a new folder of images, I am only going to use some of my keywords that are in persistant lists. So i go to my new folder and, hang on, there are still all the old non persistant words. So i have to quit Bridge and reopen it to get a clean (persistant only) list. Where is the "Clear Non persistant words" button? So its a pain these non persistant words arent in the 'Other Keywords" and, Its a pain Persistant words arent at the top of the list. Is this the same experience for other people? or what am i doing wrong? Im using bridge ver 9.1.0.338 (now just tried 10.0.0.124 same problem) Hopefully a screen shot will be attached, that is only part of a long list. Thanks Simon

Hi Ive been using Bridge for ages now. I mostly add keywords to the file manually, or i copy keywords from another image (cut n paste). Now the keywords panel in Bridge has always baffled me. now im trying to master it. Ive just discovered "persistant keywords" by right clicking the word (or subgroup), so it appears as available in all images (horray). What is so fustrating that when i click on other images (usually in other folders) a load of keywords appear in my keyword panel (in italic). So i go and move these into a sub group or delete them (if not ticked). That was a waste of time because when I now go to another folder of images, a whole load more keywords appear in the keywords panel. If i now go back to the images folder from just now, all the keywords are back again, BUT not in ticked in the subgroups where i moved them to . Oh man, this is so fustrating, I just cant get them sorted out. I have 100's and 100' of images with keywords, I cant possibly delete the keywords and start again.

Thanks Ged, it was a large size, was just trying to cause the error with different new file settings. If i open that same file now, there's no error for me either. Random errors are a pain, if there was a debug mode, that would catch the error when it happened and point to something. Otherwise, I'll have to live with it.
