Yes, I agree, there are hundreds of 'easy' features that aren't implemented yet - my point was simply that a feature as popular as this would be very high on the agenda if it was easy. The fact it hasn't happened yet says a lot. And yes, some raw-to-warped code is already present, but that 'extra layer of functionality on top' would not be quick or easy. This is undoubtedly a very popular request, and one we'd all love to see. If it was easy to implement though, don't you think they'd have done it by now? It's not quite as simple as copying some logic from Photoshop. When you clone in Photoshop, the pixels are in a fixed state. When you clone in Lightroom, everything has to be calculated from the raw data, and it has to take into account things like the warping from lens corrections. That's not to say it won't happen, because they've already done some amazing things with Lightroom and ACR. It just means it might not be as quick as we'd all like. ... View more

One thing that may help a little for the caption box, is enlarging the right hand panel to its full width, if you haven't already done so, as that will make the caption box wider. Can you just go up to Lightroom menu > About Adobe Lightroom and just double check the build number in the top right hand corner please? The RC doesn't replace the normal LR app, instead installing a 3.5 RC version alongside, so I just want to triple check that it's opened the new RC and not the existing 3.4 version. ... View more

> LR knows I deleted the images, so show them in a different way (or not marked them as new). That's the problem - once you've deleted them within LR, you've told LR to forget that they ever existed. May I suggest a tweak to the workflow which may do the trick, at least until Adobe comes round to your way of thinking? I can understand you not wanting to just reject them and keep them on the hard drive, as that'll take up hard drive space. But what if you marked them as rejected, dragged all of the rejected ones to a 'delete me' folder once you've finished culling, and then switch to Explorer/Finder to delete the photos out of that folder. The references would remain in the catalog in that 'delete me' folder until you choose to wipe the card and remove those references, but the fact that LR still has those records would solve the import problem. ... I think it's fairly unlikely that Apple do any serious testing with third party software. And Adobe's options are fairly limited, even with access to beta OS builds, as things often change between Apple's betas and final releases. Hopefully Apple will take care of their bug soon, but it may be worth making some noise on Apple's own forums in the meantime. ... View more

Kevin has confirmed on the other thread that the fix is for both Canon and Nikon. The fact that they've found the fix hopefully means that you won't have a long wait now. PNG isn't a format suited to photographs, so I'm not sure you'll get any joy on that one, however the request is at least here for voting. Did you realise that your PSD files can be imported into Lightroom - you just have to resave them with the maximize compatibility turned on.
