I had similar issue and then success after changing the download location from '\\Mac\Home\Downloads' to local disk 'C:\Users\myname\Downloads'. OSX: High Sierra 10.13.6 Parallels: Version 16.1.2 (49151) Windows 10 Home

Worked perfectly! Thanks Jump_Over. I had over 150 images I had to quickly rename (using NameChanger) adding 'GG' (GG.jpeg). I thought I'd have to find/update each image one by one in Links panel.

Thanks Sil for explaining why all my button destinations stopped working and defaulted to the same wrong one. I was updating the TOC each time I updated the file for client. All have to be configured all over again. Ugh. Since the piece is near final, I'll update any TOC edits manually going forward.

In PowerPoint I can add a wipe animation to a dotted line. I don't see that option in the InDesign animations panel. Does another animation do something similar? Or do I have to create some kind of work around?

I found a great workaround to create a button that shows/hides an object here: https://indesignsecrets.com/creating-a-two-function-button-for-interactive-pdf-or-swf.php Here is my version (fuzzy due to font outlines) https://indd.adobe.com/view/5727cb07-394e-4786-9c51-f30e86f43440 I made them a little different than the tutorial. When I click on blue box, the blue box disappears and the green box and text underneath it appears. All good. Now, in order for me to get back to blue box I need to move my cursor/hand out of the green box area and then move cursor back and then click. Here's what I'm wondering about... Is there a way for me to not have to move off the green box to get back to blue box? I'd like for someone to keep their cursor in the same spot and just click back and forth between green and blue. It's not a huge deal but thought I'd see what I'm doing incorrectly or need to change. I have attached my working file. This will be an EPUB or Publish Online file in the end. Thank you,

Thanks everyone for your feedback. It's looking like the consensus is to convert to RGB before export which makes sense. The client had received companion PNG logos, from another agency, exported from both Pantone and CMYK and wondered why they look different onscreen. I'll attempt to explain. So I'd like to give all the 'correct answer', not sure I can do that on this system...??

When I create colour versions of logos I provide them in both Pantone and CMYK formats. In addition to providing vector formats for clients, I also provide PNGs. My question… from which file should I generate/export my PNG — the CYMK or the Pantone? The colours in the PNGs do appear different on screen depending on which I choose. Should I be changing all colours to RGB in Illustrator before exporting to PNG? What is the best practice when exporting to PNGs?

Yes, last night I tested having less images and it worked great. So I can certainly reduce images/lessen the width. Many thanks Diane for your time and the diagnosis! I am enjoying getting to know these great animation features in InDesign.

Okay. some success. I was able to lengthen/shorten the path it when I selected the far left end point, but when I select and move the far right end point, that's when it moves my object with it.

Ah... yes, I was thinking it may be the ePub preview window that is giving the false rhythm. Thank you for the very kind offer Diane. I will play a bit more with it and let you know. PS, when I do use the Selection Tool to change the motion path, it also moves the object and I don't want it moved from the position as shown in the example above (left side of group on left side of page)

Thank you Diane, you are correct -- I don't need it to loop. Using your direction below I am making progress but after every few images that go by, it stops for a quick micro-moment and carries on again, like it hit a bump. Is that something I can adjust in the motion path? I need to get used to moving/altering the motion path using the 'Direction Selection Tool'. I do see the animation proxy gray area but I don't think it's in the right area. I don't understand how to make sure it's in the right place. I assume its location is determined by the motion path. It's something I need to play with. Also, to confirm... I don't need to adjust anything in the Properities area, i.e., "from/to Current Appearance/Location/origin point', correct?

There is a lovely animation effect on page 1 of this interactive file Published Online: https://indd.adobe.com/view/3684ee97-f561-4e66-a106-602c97a72467 The photos in the background are moving slowly right to left. What animation effect was used here? My attempt is a little 'jerky' in some places as my images scroll over and it stops short of showing all of the images. I used Fly in from Right with a 20 sec duration. I'm not sure which to select in the Animate area, i.e., "From Current Appearance" or "to Current Appearance/Location". I have fifteen images grouped and I'd like them to continuously scroll then repeat. Thank you!

I am creating an interactive InDesign file for the iPad. I will most likely use the Publish Online feature. Since there are different sizes of iPads, what Document Size should I choose -- 1024 x 768, 2732 x 2048... or does it matter? I will be testing on a 12.9 iPad Pro. Thanks.

I am trying to do something similar. I have a field that needs to read either 100, 200 or 300 depending on a value entered in a previous field. If someone enters 1 in "Field a" then "Field b" needs to read "$100" If someone enters 2 in "Field a" then "Field b" needs to read "$200" If someone enters 3 in "Field a" then "Field b" needs to read "$300" Here was my attempt that I placed in the Custom Calculation Script area for "Field b" and did not work. Can anyone let me know what is wrong?
