Topaz is the way to go. But...........going from 576i 4:3 format to cropped  16:9 1080i is a big step. (100% to 245%) I would not make it interlaced but rather progressive.   I converted quite a few Digital 8 tapes to 1280x720 but did not touch the 4:3 ration as in two black vertical bars on the side. @mattchristensen I am inclined to think this new menu is targeted towards editors that use solely kbsc. Mouse users are overlooked: their workflow has been slow down significant, especially for functions buried 3 layers deep. It relative takes much time to get to this functions while editing.   I don't like all the (File) Save functions buried: To avoid this I have to use a KBSC with the risk of not hitting the keys currently and turning off Snap without realizing I did so.   One thing I do know: once implemented, it is never going to go away. As I said before it even works in the beta. I never thought of Ae and dynamic link for 20 fps I dont framesever on a regular basis these days. I used it to make BluRay files to use in Encore. the only program that I know of that works with frameserving is TMPGEnc Authoring Works (and an oldie: virtual dub) Frameserving used to be a good alternative to use instead of  Adobe's Mainconcept codec.
