Yes, similar problems here! I don't have any Waves plugins and all my existing plugins show as "Working" in the Plug in Manager screen but Ozone and Neutron VST3s both cause AA to crash, VST2s seem to load and work properly.  I haven't yet had time or opportunity to check through every one of my plug ins, and I remember that when (?)Ozone 8 was released by iZotope there was information on their website that AA was no longer "supported", I think.  However, everything worked as expected prior to this latest AA CC update. I'm seriously considering reverting to the previous version, since I have at least one customized rack preset based on the VST3 version of Ozone Advanced and RX6 Advanced. ... View more

Hi, IMO Audition is "streets ahead" of Audacity in terms of audio quality and facilities.  I think you would be surprised at the difference! Unfortunately, you've posted after your trial has expired, apparently.  Had you chosen to post earlier, whilst still in the Trial period, it is very likely that one or other of the very experienced users of Audition - I do not include myself in that list - would have been able to help you to get AA running smoothly on your computer. No, I don't think you are; I've just checked this on my PC and see exactly the same behaviour.  It's easy to move the overlap handle on the second file; the same handle never appears on the first file. Unfortunately, without being able to hear your audio, it is almost impossible for us to suggest what might improve the sound.  If you are able to post a short sample (in wav format, most definitely NOT mp3) to a file-hosting site (like Dropbox) and then provide a link in this thread someone may be able to assist you. I'm resurrecting this thread because, although the repeated scanning for plug ins within AA CC did restore (and maintain, so far) connection to all the VST and VST3 modules, I also raised the matter with iZotope Customer Service.  Their reply is below: As you are aware, Adobe Audition is no longer a supported host for Ozone 8. Due to updates made to Ozone 8’s code and DSP engine, communication issues between Ozone 8 and Adobe Audition have arisen. This is likely the cause of the numeration issues you’ve reported. While you may be able to achieve partial functionality, the product’s behavior and performance will likely be unstable and unpredictable. For these reasons, iZotope cannot provide support for this workflow. I am aware that Audition is, rightly, pretty "picky" about requiring VSTs and, presumably, VST3s, to adhere very closely to the Steinberg specification but "updates to Ozone's code and DSP engine" which creates "communication issues"...??? I'd be very interested to hear comments from other users and, especially, the devs about this, particularly since AA includes "modules" originally created by and licensed from iZotope. ... View more

Your original question refers to a "re-install".  So, is this a re-install using the same (CD/DVD) disc on your machine as you used for the previous install?  Or is this a "new" (to you) disc? If it is the former I think you should go back to Customer Service and ask how it is you were able to originally install the app if your disc is a pirated copy.
