SteveG(AudioMasters) wrote The colours don't mean anything until you make a hold selection. Well apparently they do, because if I put an EQ on a fully panned track and manipulate it, it visibly changes the spectral distribution depicted by only one of them. There should be a legend showing which color corresponds to which master channel. How is that not an omission? If there were six output channels, there'd be six colors, correct? Why bother having them if you're not going to tell us what they mean? Now I do usually EQ by ear, but because of the aforementioned tedium of centering channels while soloing, I thought I'd try using the frequency-analysis tools at hand. I attempted to try the procedure you describe, but encountered several difficulties: 1. I can't find a way to open multiple files at once in waveform view. 2. I can't find a way to create a selection range in multiple files at once, or even set a marker region in multiple files at once, in order to scan for frequency analysis. I guess I will tediously hand-enter time codes and samples in markers in each file, but that's pretty pathetic. I attempted to search the documentation for this information, but there does not appear to be any Audition-specific search function. Thanks for your reply.
