This has been a limitation of .prtextstye files since we introduced the ability to export and import text styles. As you said, they only exist inside Pr as project items. So you have to import for each project or copy them from one open project to another. Ideally, they could be added to one of your CC Libraries (including shared libraries) so you could drag and drop from the Libraries panel into the project panel for whatever project you have open. But CC Libraries does not support the .prtextstyle file type yet. That is a very good request for real world users to make. @k_pop That sounds like a lot of trouble and I hope that going back to a previous version will get things working. For the Timeline crashes, please send in the crash report if you can and enter a short description of what you were doing at the time of the crash. Also, tape based workflows (including Capture) were removed from PrPro as of version 24.0. I know that is not good for some users. (1) Did you enable "Multi-Camera" in the wrench menu of the Program Monitor? (2) At the bottom of that same wrench menu, if you choose "Edit Cameras..." does it show all four source cameras there? I cannot reproduce any bug using a shape or text and the Transform Effect with a scale change and unchecking 'Use Comp's Shutter Angle' and a Shutter Angel increase. Changing the scale does offset the shape as it increases, but that looks like a matter of where the Anchor Point is at because if you move the shape layer towards the center of the Program Mon. More importantly, it looks the same to me in GPU Rendering and Software Only Rendering modes. Can you perhaps send me a small test project and some precise steps for me to follow. Please include what OS and build version/number you are using. Also, is there a reason you NEED to use the Transform effect instead of using the shape's own Transform controls? ... View more

We are working on Simon's bug now but I can't accurately say when a fix might come. Also, I can't guarantee that the fix for Simon's bug will fix your project open problems as well. They may not be the same thing at all. I know that's not great news and I'm trying to think about a workaround for you. If your bug IS related to Simon's, it might worth checking where all your media is at, including things that might not be in a sequence (like a text file). Move all your media into one online drive if possible and that might allow the media link check to succeed and your project to open. ... View more

@Simon28514220gtgc Thanks for the added info. We're still trying to debug the project to see what's making it hang. On Win, holding down Ctrl + Alt (or Shift) on startup is the easiease way to get to your reset options, but there is nothing in there specifcally for bypassing relink. If Pr is not finding all your Media when trying to open a project, the Link and Locate dialog will need to appear. The only way around that is if you could open it on some other system and get as far as the Link Media dialog and then make everything offline. But that you'd still have to Link and Locate everything as soon as you got into the project. I can try to get a project version like that for you. It's worth a try, but I doubt it will get everything working again. ... View more

@Simon28514220gtgc After looking at the minidump file that we got when trying to open your test project, we see that you have recently had a next drive and a z drive attached to your systems. Specifically, it looks like that next drive is beeing used for your Media cache: <VideoPreviewLocation1>S:\Adobe Cache files\Media Cache Files</VideoPreviewLocation1> <CapturedVideoLocation1>S:\Adobe Cache files\Media Cache Files</CapturedVideoLocation1> Besides that, it looks like we're trying to load some assets off of your z:\ drive, which is either very slow or inaccessible. If you can make sure that those drives are active before launching the project on win, that should speed up the open project and allow you to get Pr back into a usable state. ... View more

That's a good request. Note that there is a global prefs setting for other things... At the top of the EGP, there is a hamburger menu and in that menu is "Text Layer Preferences". Ligatures would have to be added there. Also note that you can check Ligatures on/off for multiple selected text layers in the same Graphic. That's still not as powerful as a global preference, but it might help save some time. ... View more

@59impalaboy Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects all have checkboxes to turn Ligatures on or off. The default for that setting may vary by app. In PrPro, the Ligatures checkbox is found in the Text Properties (wrench menu) in the EGP > Edit tab.   @johnc32787989 's problem was different because in that case the font was Verdana which does not support ligatures and text was disappearing when ff was entered. Thank you for reporting this. Let's see if we can get more information about why projects are not opening for you on win. Did you move the project file AND all media together onto that external drive? Or is the media spread out across locations? If you copy the project file (rename it!) to a local folders and then disconnect the drive that the media is on, does the project still fail to open? It will prompt to you relink media of course, so just make everything offline and see if the project opens. That way we will know if its the project itself that's the problem or some piece of media inside of it. Once the project is open, can you use Link and Locate to relink everything? Even if it does not relink everything successfully, this might give you some indication of what sort of media is failing to load on project open.
