You don't understand how that feature works. Unfortunately, I've explained it the best I can but I'm going to try one more time with bullet points.   InDesign file is created and exported to PDF. PDF is sent to client for comments. Comments are added in Acrobat by client. PDF with comments is returned by client. Original InDesign file is opened and then, AND ONLY THEN, can you import those comments which will update the text in your InDesign file.   No updates should be made to the InDesign file while you're waiting for the PDF to be returned! ... The PDF had to be created from InDesign and you must have the original InDesign file open. Why not just do it in Illustrator? That obvious question out of the way, the only "right" way to do this is to export a PDF from InDesign and open that in Acrobat. Use the tools there to outline the text. ... View more

There are two flavors of Opentype and you can only tell them apart by their extension. Microsoft and Adobe developed that format a quarter century ago. Microsoft has included TTF Opentype for as long as I can remember. And under no circumstance should you change the name or the extension.   And apparently, you are the only one so it's something related to your system. As a workaround, you can try copying the desired fonts to the InDesign\fonts folder and then restarting InDesign. ... View more

Fonts are generally installed in the operating system and unless they're Type 1 should be available in all programs. You also say that it's the default for InDesign, but InDesign default font, as far as I know, is Minion Pro which means you've changed something somewhere.   What operating system are you using? ... I can tell what you did, I think. You created a table and added what you thought would be placeholder text. You right clicked it and chose Interactive > Converted to Text Field.   That's not how it works and you'll need to add the placeholder text in Acrobat after you create the three text fields separately. ...
