FWIW GPU acceleration in Premiere Elements doesn't much affect how quickly or efficiently the program edits video. GPU acceleration only affects how the timeline handles rendered and unrendered video (unlike pro editors). So you're not going to see a dramatic boost in performance no matter which you choose.

If the program won't play any audio from any source, go to the program's preferences (under the Edit menu) and, on the Audio Hardware page, play with the switches for Input and Output. (How they're set depends on what you've got plugged into your audio and USB ports.)

Premiere Elements can't edit multi-track audio on video clips, if that's what you're working with, Hien. So if you have a single video clip with A and B audio channels, you're not going to be able to switch between these channels. Is that you how recorded your video? Using software that simultaneously recorded your game audio and your microphone audio? Premiere Elements can of course edit several tracks of audio and video. However each of these must be separate audio/video clips, not multi-channel audio.

I'd recommend you convert a sample of your movie to a standard MP4 using Handbrake and the specs in the video John linked you to above. Then start a new project and see if this converted video works any better. If so, we'll be able to suggest how you can proceed. Your video is also artificially rotated 180. BTW if you're looking for us to defend Adobe's marketing people, that's not going to happen. We're just fellow users with a lot of experience with the program. So if your beef is with Adobe, you should contact them directly. We can't help you there.

I'm afraid you're not going to get the answer you're looking for, Todd. This program just isn't going to interface with this type of video. As John said, you can convert it using Handbrake -- or you might be better off with a more versatile video editor.

Much could be related to the specs of your source video. Is this video from a camcorder or from some other source? This is not typical behavior, but certain video formats, resolutions and frame rates can cause issues. We can certainly explore this if you'd like. Open your source video in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy the text of this report and paste it this forum. Depends on which version of the program you're using and what operating system. It sounds like you're editing HEVC H.265 video, which requires a plug-in and only is editable on some recent versions of Premiere Elements. To see if this is the case, open your iPhone video in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy the report it generates and paste it to this forum. With this detailed report and information on the version of the program you're using we'll better be able to help.

This is a non-standard video size -- 2688x1512 -- and using the HEVC codec, and that's why Premiere Elements is struggling with it. I'm not sure what to suggest. Even converting the video with Handbrake won't make it a more standard resolution, like 1920x1080. You may want to try a different video editor. Premiere Elements is just not going to be able to work with this video. Can you set your camcorder up to record 1920x1080 at H.264 rather than H.265? Does anyone else have a suggestion?

You're trying too hard. You can output a file that optimal for use on YouTube simply by going to Export & Share/Device/Computer 1920x1080 MP4. There's no need to create a custom output setting.

Can you confirm you're using version 15 Premiere Elements? That said, you want use audio keyframes to raise and lower the volume of your music at specific points. How you do this can depend on which version of the program you're using.
