You will not be able run an animation in a Jpeg export as well. Unless you create a slice of it first. But then you need an a html page to put it back together and in a browser. Save for  the web and device is exactly that not the right way to go about this, if you need 300 ppi, not 300 dpi. and 1200 x 1200 pixels is 1200 x 1200 pixels so 300 ppi in this relationship is a  a dimensions matter. so a 1200 x 1200 pixel document at 300 ppi is 4 inches x 4 inches. So what you want to do is to export (File>Export>Jpeg or PNG) it as a jpeg ore png but 300 ppi suggest that your final destination is  print and not the web. If you are  sending it to print you want cmyk as your color mode and save for the web will make it rgb. If you are saving to use on the web then you want 72 ppi anyway and save for the web is correct. To make it export as 4 x4 @ 300ppi use the export way. BTW for print you really should export as tiff. for Power Point do export as jpeg or png. ... View more

There was an issue a while back several years ago where the text box was off the document and a text box was on the paste board and that cause a specific type of corruption. I do not recall if it was associated with a font corruption or a database corruption or a specific software. It is possible that it was never determined and perhaps an update fixed it somehow. I am certain there is room for more than one font manager and not to take away from Extensis efforts I must say I was really surprised that FAP worked as well as it did out of the box especially for verification on install but i was a very long time Suitcase user and just experienced too many problems with Suitcase, most of which Extensis seemed to inherit. But I am pleased to know in spite of this problem users of Illustrator can use Suitcase in a much more sable way as they were in the past. I do not think that one has to remove Suitcase i think you can disable it by removing it from the login Items and turning off the auto start at log in in the preferences. I make a suggestion as someone who has in the past tested many utility software, wait for the update for Suitcase and if that is forthcoming in a timely manner then test it in the mean time you will have gotten to know FAP and now you can make a sensible decision as to what works for you. If I recalled I had contact support for FAP before purchasing and they suggested that I try their product and then make the decision, that impressed me. Of course Thomas Phinney always active responsiveness is always one of the most helpful resources you can find. So now both companies have the responsiveness and that can only be a good thing. Well it is good to hear from Thomas Phinney once again. But I see it this way it is now up to Suitcase to prove itself. Font Agent Pro has been solid and though things can go wrong with FAP they are simple to fix. Now Suitcase may have all knew code but that in itself does not mean it has resolved the problems and has been brought up to snuff. I would still suspect suitcase with a problem like this. Did you try opening that pdf in Illustrator and resaving it? And I am wondering if you try to place the file in an empty Ai document instead of opening it? I have to say I really do not understand what is be discussed here the op has posted several png files and they all show a green spot background? Why not show us the actual problem file as it actually displays without the background and perhaps post either the pdf or the ai file so we can take a look at it. Quite frankly I do not actually see a file posted that shows what is happening to the file. I am certain if the OP says it does not show up then that is so but perhaps if we actually saw the pdf as the problem shows there might be a clue. Right now everyone is grasping for straws. Also expand the layers show us the appearance panel the transparency panel something about the file. Showing us the design does nothing here we need to see the problem. You are not going to like this but i strongly suggest you get another font manager and I recommend Font Agent Pro. Then I would clear out for font cache files. Trash the settings folder  as such I would first quite Illustrator and then; I would go to Users/username/Library/preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS4 Settings folder and trash that settings folder. ... Sometimes there is no defense for an oversight like this and I believe when the original feature request qwas made this part of the feature brough up as a important component of this feature. Why it was not included is a mystery. We should probably all make a trip to the featurre request forum about this issue. It is that Kris notice this missing feature. The gradient upgrade was excellent but not complete and the power of an illustration program lies with a pen tool feature, selection, color, layers and gradients and gradient meshes. We need transpancy in gradient messhes and we need other forms of gradients other than linear and radial and we need a real world way of selecting colors for our gradients and what Kris is looking for is definitely what is needed in that reagard. ... You guys probably are using linked images and therefore the message which is unavoidable unless your profiles match and you probably want them to match, so the way to avoid this would be to sync your color settings in all your Adobe applications and use the same color space for the document and the placed images.
