You don't say if the cause of the computer failure was the hard drive or something else. If it wasn't the hard drive, you can still get the catalog and image files off the old drive. Even if the old computer would not boot from the hard drive, the data files for Lightroom (LR) could still be readable. What you are seeing on your new computer is a new, empty LR catalog. You need to find the old catalog on the old hard drive. The best way to try to read that old hard drive is to use an external USB 3 dock connected to a USB port on your new computer. The use your operating system, Windows Explorer or Mac Finder to find the old catalog. Look for *.lrcat. Copy your image files off the old drive as well. Your image files are not located in the LR catalog. They are in other folders on the drive.

It may not be that easy. Let us know if the new camera fixes the problem. As the other posters have said, other hardware might be the problem. LR does not do this kind of file corruption.

This is a symptom that you are in a different catalog than the one where your processed images are. In the LR menu, Check: File > Open Recent and see what catalogs are listed. One of them should be the one with the edits and images you are missing. You can click on any of those to see if its the one you need.

Exactly how were you opening files in Camera Raw Filter? As far as I can see, a file has to be open in PS in order to use the Camera Raw Filter.

Is it possible that you have more than one Adobe account? If so, be sure you are logging in with the correct ID. You should be reinstalling through the Creative Cloud app. Sign in through that app.

In Bridge, can you open a folder of images, right click on one and choose "Open in Camera Raw"? That should work on raw, jpg, tiff, etc.

Yes, you are correct, the program files (LR, PS, etc.) should go on the operating system (Win 10 drive C: ). Your Lightroom Catalog and preview files should go on the second SSD along with the Lightroom Cache (recommended more than 20GB). Depending on how big your LR catalog and preview file folders are, you may run out of space on a 250 GB SSD since you should leave about 2/3 to 3/4 of the SSD free for OS breathing room. You can set the Cache size and location in the LR menu: Edit > Preferences > Performance tab about 1/3 of the way down.

At the top of the panel next to the icon for the linear gradient, you have a "Brush" icon which adds to the gradient. Next to that is the "Eraser" that will erase from the gradient.

I've been pleased with LR's panorama merge feature combining as many as 15 verticals into one long horizontal panorama. One important factor is to have plenty of overlap, 30-50% both horizontally and vertically is important. Have you tried using the lens correction function on each image before trying the merge?

Put your catalog, previews and originals on an external drive with a fast interface (USB 3, USB C or Firewire) and move the drive back and forth, opening the same catalog first on the main computer then on the secondary computer and back again. Then, have a backup for the external drive. The catalog can be on an external drive, but not a network drive.

This looks like a clue to me, but I'm not expert in these error logs: Application Specific Information: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: 'launch path not accessible' It seems to be a permissions issue. When did you update to High Sierra? I haven't had the problem myself, but there are reports of OS updates changing file/folder permissions. I would check that. It's a wild guess on my part.

You are welcome! And, yes it has been confusing to many users. I haven't personally had issues with the "Adobe Creative Cloud" app like some. Even using the name "Adobe Creative Cloud" app is confusing in itself I don't think Adobe considers any of the perpetual apps "Cloud" so they don't appear.

LR Classic CC is an UPGRADE to LR 2015. You apparently still have LR 2015 installed like I do. Does your Adobe Creative Cloud screen look like this (minus the Lightroom CC) app? From your description, the Lightroom CC (2015) is showing UPDATE which is the cause of the messages. You can do the update without affecting your new UPGRADED LR Classic CC installation.

Ok, here are my guesses Hardware issues: Try a different card Try a different card reader Try a different USB cable Try a different USB port See if you can copy the image files from the card reader to the desired folder on your hard drive then try to import from there. Finally, reset your LR preferences anytime LR does anything unusual. Search this forum for the procedure to reset LR preferences.

Are you expecting your desktop LR CL CC catalog to sync to the LR catalog on your laptop running LR Classic CC ? It doesn't work that way. LR CL CC will sync designated collections and ONLY those collections with devices running LR mobile or the new cloud based LR CC. Also, you can only sync one catalog at a time from the main computer you have signed in to Adobe. You can also logon to lightroom.adobe.com and see your synced collections there as well as any images that originate on your mobile devices running LR CC (cloud app)

You could try it by exporting the cropped versions as tiffs and then do the pano from those. The cropped tiffs will have to have enough detail overlap from one image to another for it to work. 25%-30% overlap should work ok.

You don't say whether you were in Bridge or Lightroom when you imported the photos from your memory card. If you used the MOVE function in LR the originals will be deleted off the card during the import function. If you used the Bridge downloader, there is a function there to delete the originals. Could either of those things contributed to the deleted originals on the memory card?

No, I use the Epson provided profiles. In PS View > Proof Colors, are you selecting the paper profile? I usually print from LR so I don't regularly use the PS View-Proof Colors function, but when I choose the paper profile in the first View item, Proof Setup, I get no difference when I toggle Proof Colors. I may not be using that correctly. I prefer the proof function in LR for that.

Thanks for that clarification. I don't have any missing folders so I couldn't try it on one of those. I helped a friend relink to folders that had been copied to an external hard drive but now I realize none of those folders were not missing either.

If you still have a color cast, say green, try brushing on the complimentary color, in this case, Cyan. You can vary the density and flow to put in just the amount of Cyan to offset the green.
