If you haven't imported photos located on that drive, it won't show in the folders panel in the Library module. It should show in the Import module.

It's good to have the correct monitor drivers, but the driver that really counts is the driver for your video card in the computer. Is your computer a desktop or laptop? Go to the computer manufacturers website for the newest driver. Some laptops make you get the driver from the manufacturer's web site. You may also be able to get the GTX 1080 driver from nvidia.com

Have you tried to use the D850 to shoot some more images? Try importing them directly from the camera into LR instead of any other way. See if that works. I bet you have an XQD reader on order 🙂

It's working fine for me. PS 2018 19.1.1 and LR 7.2. Are you using the PS "Save" command, not save as? PC, Win 10 Creators edition, I7 - 3930, 32GB and GTX 970 video. Also working fine on rMBP 2017 High Sierra, 16GB ram.

No, you would still have the same problem. It's almost certainly a hardware problem. Have you tried doing the import and all other functions with image files on your internal drive? Use a card reader to get the images on your internal drive. You should also double check your permissions on the external drive. You should give yourself read/write and all permissions on the entire external drive.

What year MacBookPro? What ports are you using for your external drives. Can you try a different port/connection or cable. These kind of issues are usually hardware related. I found that one of the USB ports on a brand new 2105 MacBook Pro was not working correctly giving me similar symptoms to what you describe.

Adobe LR revision version numbers go like this: 6.0, 6.1, 6.2 ........ 6.10 .... ending up with 6.14 which is the latest (and last) revision. The rev. numbers are not decimal values. Rev 6.14 is much later than 6.2

I have custom LR profiles for all my cameras, including drones created with the xRite Color Checker Passport. The results I get using the Auto button in the develop, basic panel are preferable to me using the xRite profiles than any of the Adobe supplied camera calibration profiles. Better color and contrast.

"We cannot 'scroll' through the (Sleeklens) Brushes anymore with the mouse wheel, but have to click on the arrow at the bottom to go to the next page => is much slower !" This sounds like a Photoshop issue. Are you talking about Photoshop? I have a MacBook Pro 2017 (high spec) and a Win 10 PC (medium spec). I do not notice any difference in the Wacom tablet performance from one to the other.

Yes you can go back to the previous version. Check in the Creative Cloud app update screen for the downward pointing chevron in the particular app you are interested in. When you click that, you will get a list of earlier apps to install. For LR, be sure to use the catalog you were using with that version.

How are you viewing the original image before importing into Lightroom? The default import and develop settings in Lightroom do not change the resolution of the image. Are you basing your judgement of the Lightroom processed image on the exported version? The first image is very pixellated, meaning the resolution is much lower that the second. Check your settings in the Export dialog box and set the pixels to a much higher value. If you have cropped in highly before exporting in LR or sending the image to Photoshop, the effect is the same, too few pixels.

If your previous version of Lightroom (CC 2015) was uninstalled when you installed LR Classic CC, you can get it back from the Lightroom Classic item in the Classic Cloud Application. Click on the down pointing chevron to reveal this view. When you have reinstalled LR CC (2105), open the old catalog with that. You will be up and running but not in LR Classic CC. If that results in a corrupted catalog message, keep trying your backups until you find one that works.

See if you have a compatible setting in the iPhone: Settings > Camera > Formats > Compatible That should create jpg files for you until LR Classic can handle HEIC. It works that way on my iPhone 7 plus IOS 11.2.1

How are you connecting the memory card to the computer? Directly to the camera? USB memory card reader? It sounds like you have a hardware failure. It could be: 1. Bad Card Reader 2. Bad USB cable 3. Bad USB port on the computer 4. Bad USB port on camera Try connecting to a different USB port. If that doesn't work, then you need to try different parts, i.e. USB cable or card reader. If you are connecting direct to the camera, try using an external card reader connected through a USB cable. Connect to a USB 3 port (Blue) for the fastest results. Once you try these things, close and restart Lightroom and start the Import process fresh.

Sounds like you know what you are doing 🙂 good luck. At least, have the LR catalog which is running on the main boot drive backed up to the external drive. If the old catalog and new catalog had the same name, maybe backblaze wrote over the old catalog.
