Still (again?) happening with the newest AE/ME.

It's working great, out of the box, without any tinkering. I am very happy my old threadripper finally got it's time to shine with AE. After all this years of waiting, it's finally here to stay. MFR also seems to be pretty stable on my end. So, credit where credit is due: Thanks devs!

This is great news! KF-colors will help a lot with organizing! – The outlines, I find them a tad intrusive to look at in the current design. Maybe reduce the stroke size?

Good to know you're aware of this. Much of my disjoy with AE stems from this. Especially when maximizing the timeline panel. It's so... urgh. Could you give any hint if this is to be expected in the foreseeable future? BTW - MFR is fantastic! After all those years, it's finally here to stay, and the implementation seems really well done!

People wanting a deep dive: Here's the definitive breakdown and analysis of the issue: https://blog.frame.io/2021/06/07/premiere-pro-max-render-quality-max-bit-depth/#What_does_Adobe_say This confusion has been going on for too long! I'd like to tag adobe on this, but how?

Another shortcoming of the cryptic formulation in Premiere and Media Encoder. People jump in with sometimes cocky or puzzling answers. Whereas the original culprit lies in the erratic "Render at Maximum Depth", which is still lacking a proper explanation anywhere in the official documentaion. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

This is the year 2022. In order to get thumbnails I still need to refer to the clunky app that is Bridge. Why? How comes this basic functionality isn't yet implemented? – No, I do not want to rely on third party products.

Thank you for the response Mylenium – I think you're single handedly handling the forums since forever 💪. I'm gladly gonna provide additional info, as well as MediaInfo reports in the attached TXTs. - Source is YUV BT.709 (422 10-bit) - Target is RGB (444 12-bit) - Working Gamma is 2.2 (sRGB) - Project-depth is 16-bit - Export bit-resolution is 16-bit as well - Color management is OFF at all steps - Other than AE, no other soft- or hardware is involved in order to verify or manipulate the colors - The shift is noticeable in the brights. However, no FX in this matter have been applied at all. - No LUT at any step. Does this give you any clue on where things fall through?

Slight but annoying brightness shift after exporting out of AE (latest version, Windows). See the top area int the images attached. The difference is small, but still noticeable in the output! It gets bigger after grading. - Input format: 4K AVCHD High 422 10-bit @250 MB/s Output format: DNxHR MOV RGB 444 12-bit - Am I missing something? @AdobeAEwhy this deviation?

@Rameez_Khancould you please pass this on to the AE engineering team? And maybe have a look at certain graphic cards / drivers? It's been going on for about two update cycles now...

Thanks a lot for your answer. Besides realtime HDR, could you please elaborate and set the expectations on the changes for «display stability and performance»? Because this would be the thing most users are looking for.

What are the implications of this? Searched the forum and the beta "What's new", but found no explanation. Is it meant to improve panel performance?

Reinstall of AE or what? Uninstall and Re-Install? I really don't want to go through that process 😕

Another thread mentioned "a fresh reinstall" as the solution for this problem. I guess he/she meant a re-install of AE. Not sure yet: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects/fast-draft-not-available-in-rtx-2060/m-p/11460188 I don't think this is a feasible solution for me... 🙇

So it's a legality/copyright thing. Probably distributed 3rd party stuff that cancelled their contracts for further usage. Very unlikely they'll sue you for using something old (if you still got such old apps around). I'm sure this is Adobes way to not get into hot water with it's old contractors.

Dear Szalam. Always happy to read your responses. Unlike others, you always care about the user the most and give encouraging answers. – I'd like to share these two thoughts with you: First, at this point, the engine update is entirely mythical. Secondly, why is ther so little communication going on from the AE-team? Why don't they connect with the userbase anymore? Where is Victoria at?

My recommendation for @defaultxlslah6refu0 is to share your network topology as well as a screenshot of the processes that take place during the project opening pase. As with files taking so long to process, there's a good chance something got stuck because of not being able to call home or checking the files. PS: 19 Megabyte is easy for an AE-project. I got project files up to 35 MB and they open without any problems in under 1 minute.

As the title suggests. It's actually usable now. I could just watch a tutorial on something else during the time roto brush was propagating. The result was a great base for further editing. Thanks Adobe!
