The only other thing I can think of is a setting in the registry. If you are familiar with the Windows Registry, take a look in the following location and see if there is any reference to OneCloud: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Elements Organizer\21.0   If you don't see any reference there, perhaps do a registry search (Find) for OneCloud.   My final solution, if you don't use OneCloud, is to delete the folder from your computer.   Edit:  I should of course warn you not to mess around in the Registry unless you are familiar with it and are comfortable doing so. ... Under the Editor's Preferences, do you have the box checked for Save As to Original Folder?   Are you sure you are editing files from your C:\users\Nick\Pictures folder and not from One Cloud (which is also probably on your C drive)? Try resetting the preferences file. Go to the Editor's Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button. I can only imagine how frustrated you must be!  Perhaps there was some confusion over time zones?   I know nothing about Macs, so I am going to ping @Jeff Arola, another Community Expert who may be able to offer some advice.  In the meantime, please tell us what boxes you have checked in the Save As dialog. Also, what is the format of your original file?  And what format are you saving the edited files in?  If your original file is a raw file, the original will be saved as is regardless of what other copy you make. So, if you are saving the raw file as a jpeg or psd file, there will be two copies of the image.  If you save it as a copy, a third image will be saved.  Without knowing more, that is the only explanation I can offer. ... There are several ways.  Here are a couple.   If you want to remove the white from a background layer, double-click on the layer to make it a regular layer. Select the white area that you want to remove.  The Magic Wand is generally a good tool for this purpose. Hit Delete.   Instead of converting the background layer into a regular layer: Select the white area using a selection tool.   (If the background of the image is entirely white, you can probably use the Select>Background menu which is available in more recent versions of Elements) Use the Eraser tool (E) and brush over the selection.  The white will be removed, leaving a transparency.   ... @Ged_Traynor while it is true that Adobe Support will no longer reset license activations, it is not necessarily true that the user is out of luck.  We have had several reports from users that they have been able to activate a license by disconnecting their computer from the internet and signing in offline, using the instructions that may be found here.  I have asked Adobe for a definitive response about whether a user can still activate a legacy license under these circumstances.  I have been told that the issue is being looked into and that possibly the current uninformative HelpX articles may be amended to reflect the current state of affairs.  While I am not holding my breath for an answer, I hope that Adobe will clarify the situation.   One other point to mention about the OP is that they have recently created an Adobe account.  This suggests that they are now using a log in address that is not associated with the original program license which was issued 7 or 8 years ago. ... Based on your screenshot, I'm thinking that your best bet will be to try (re-)converting the database located at H:\Pictures\My Catalog 1   This appears to be the most recent catalog created with Elements 2020.  It also contains a catalog file the same size as a catalog stored on your C drive in the default location.  Based on your other answers, this may be a backup of your catalog that has been restored to your H drive.  But I'm not sure.   What is puzzling to me is that your search did not find any Elements 2025 catalogs (with a file named catalog.pse25db).  So, it is possible that a prior conversion may have failed.  But even if that were the case,  you should still have had a new catalog created in the default location on the C drive when you launched the program.   Perhaps give us a screenshot of the H:\Pictures folder for more clues?   @copwriter1 said:  My hope is/was that PSE could search for the file names and reconnect without my intervention for every file.    While, in theory, that is possible, it may not be realistic.  It seems to depend on a number of factors, including your folder structure.  Generally, if you point a disconnected file to the correct/new folder, all other missing files in that folder will be reconnected automatically.    ... Actually, Elements gives you full customization over where to store your catalog and the files associated with it.  (But I guess you need to know where the customization settings are located.)   The fact that you only have Elements 2025 installed may make the process easier.  So, first you need to figure out the location of the old version catalog that was working with all your tags etc.      I suggest that you perform a search of Windows File Explorer for: catalog.pse   The search result should yield a number of files named catalog.pseXXdb where XX is the version number of the Elements program that created the catalog.  If you double-click on this file, the Elements 2025 Organizer should open and convert the old catalog to a new Elements 2025 catalog.  A copy of the old catalog will be created so that it will remain intact and a numeric suffix will be added to the catalog folder name.  (The catalog folder is the one that contains the catalog.pseXXdb file.)   If the conversion process works, you should end up with a catalog that contains all of your face recognition and keyword tags etc.  However, because some of the files have been moved, they will be displayed as missing files.   You can determine which files are missing by using the Find>All Missing Files menu command.   The missing files can be reconnected to their current location (on your local hard drives).  There are several ways to do this.  But if too many files have been moved to too many different locations, and particularly if the new locations are scattered, this process may be laborious.   I shall wait for you to follow my suggestions and report back how many files are missing.  I will then give you my suggested strategy for reconnecting the files.   BTW, in the future, never go outside of the Organizer to manage your files.  All move, delete or renaming operations can and should only be carried out in the Organizer.     ...
