No Solution has been put forward by Adobe. It's a shame as this app has been getting worse. I imagine it gets alot less funding that their flagship products. It's with a seriously heavy heart, that after working commercially with Adobe Animate since 2007 i have moved my animation studio over to After Effects. Long term that's where their investment is and it just makes sense. Thanks for the good times Animate / Flash - I salute you 😞

It can be static. I was just suggesting to follow the steps we did to find the bug.

When you embed a font and give it a name, that embedded font with your name should be availible to select from the font list. It isn't. This means you can't embed the fonts.

This is using actionscript document: Add a new text box to stage. Choose a font. Make it a dynamic text box. Embed the font. Then select the embeded font from the list. You will see it's broken, it doesn;t display the font. If you try to preview it will tell you the font is not embeded. So embedding is the issue. Does that play out for you or do you need more info? >> All fonts are broken. It doesn't regognise any embeded fonts. I think you need to delete and embed again, but the fonts seem to have different kerning and line spacing?? This is a major issue on large projects with lots of embedded fonts. >>When you export to video it automatically renders in AME even though the auto render box is unticked. Shame as i was really looking forward to using this version 😞

As we know Flash and SWFs have a long and rich history. It also has a very bitter end. The amount of hostility and miss information about Flash and SWFs online is staggering. As a professional user of Adobe Animate I have an invested interest in making clients comfortable with their content being created on Adobe Animate rather than Adobe After Effects. I believe that one HUGE stumbling block is down to the simple fact that the files are called. .FLA and .SWF. This creates a lot of hostility and the need to explain a lot. It would be amazing for users and the brand in general if we could change these file names. For example: Adobe Animate. Working file names .an (eg myProject.an) And publishing file name .anim or something similar. Has Adobe considered this? It would be a very small change that would make a HUGE difference. I’d love to get thoughts on this. m

I want to set the start time of all my videos sent to media encoder so it crops the first second off. So start at 1s. Is this possible as a preset setting rather than manually clipping the timeline of each video? Thanks so much. M

Most of my workflow is automated and runs when I'm not at my machine. Having to manually open AME is a real pain. Previous versions launched AME automatically so why not this version?

The new version doesn't launch Adobe Media Encoder automatically when you export to video. Some previous versions did. Can we launch as standard? That would be great 🙂 m

In the latest version of this program none of the upload direct to social media features work. I have tested with various sized videos (1920x1080, 1080x1080, 1080x1920). All videos under 5mb and 10 seconds long. Twitter fail message: "The video must be 1920 by 1200 or less, 60 FPS or less, 140 seconds or less and 512MB or less, progressive, mono or stereo AAC audio" All videos work uploading direct to Twitter. Vimeo fail message: " Vimeo - Could not obtain upload ticket" Please help i am using this automated step regularly. Thanks 🙂 M

Ah ok, so it's no possible? when you go to export video in adobe animate there is an option to start queue immediately- I wondered if it might be possible via JSFL.

Just to clarify this works perfectly but i want the media encoder to start automatically. At the moment it just puts it in the queue paused. I know i could auto encode the folder but this will be used on various machines and it won't be possible to set that up.

Hey, No i've tried a lot of things but i can't seem to figure it out, unless it's not possible? I've slimmed down the JSFL to closer to your example but this looks in a folder called 'fla' and loads everything automatically. function main() { var uri = fl.scriptURI.substr(0, fl.scriptURI.lastIndexOf('/')) + "/fla"; // get the directory path of the 'data' folder var files = FLfile.listFolder(uri + "/*.fla", "Files."); var total = files.length; var dom, i, source; try { for (i = 0; i < total; i++) { source = uri + "/" + files[i]; fl.openDocument(source); dom = fl.getDocumentDOM(); dom.exportVideo(source.slice(0, -4) + ".mov", true, false, true, dom.timelines[0].frameCount); dom.close(false); } } catch(error) { fl.trace(files); fl.trace(error); fl.trace("___________"); } fl.quit(); // Close Adobe Animate after the code has finished running } main();

Using some JSFL code that @JoãoCésar posted.I want to export a folder of .FLA files to Adobe Media Encoder (ame) and start the ame right away. At the moment my .jsfl sends it to the ame fine but the user has to start the queue. var uri = fl.scriptURI.substr(0, fl.scriptURI.lastIndexOf('/')); // get the directory path of the currently executing script var source = uri + "/_source"; var files = FLfile.listFolder(source + "/*.fla", "Files."); var total = files.length; var dom, i; try { for (i = 0; i < total; i++) { fl.openDocument(source + "/" + files[i]); dom = fl.getDocumentDOM(); dom.exportVideo(source + "/" + files[i].slice(0, -4) + ".mov", true, false, true, dom.timelines[0].frameCount); dom.close(false); // Get the path of the output file var outputFile = source + "/" + files[i].slice(0, -4) + ".mp4"; // Add the output file to the encoding queue and start the encoding job var queue = ame.getQueue(); var enc = queue.createEncoder("my_encoder"); enc.setSettingsPreset("H.264"); enc.setOutputFile(outputFile); queue.queueIn(AMEFile(outputFile)); queue.startEncoding(); } } catch(error) { fl.trace(files); fl.trace(error); fl.trace("___________"); }

Yes, so if i load a local .xml file there are no security issues on the debug and the video renders fine. If i load a server side .xml the debug stops on frame one with the security error, and so does the render, it just renders frame one. My thinking is, if i can get it connecting to my server without a security error it will surely render the video as it won't stop on frame one. I wondered if the video render would throw people off. Thanks for your continued help 🙂

I'm using Adobe Animate to make an animation (AS3).
I want to load a file from my web server using AS3.
This works fine in preview but it throws a Security Sandbox Violation when i try and render the film (same when i use debug).
Is it possible to load a file from a web server in adobe animate?

Hi Kglad,
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my issue... After further testing i can confirm that when i try and load my config.xml document into my project it throws a *** Security Sandbox Violation ***. This allows me to preview the SWF file but not render it. Rendering stops when it tries to load the xml.
Rendering aside, if we just look at the issue in the debug it shows the security issue "-- Untrusted local SWFs may not contact the Internet."
Any ideas how i can get this to work? I am working locally but i want to load my config.xml from my server. I have tried adding crossdomain.xml to my server that reads "
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <cross-domain-policy> <allow-access-from domain="www.site1.co.uk" secure="false"/> <allow-access-from domain="site1.co.uk" secure="false"/> </cross-domain-policy>
And also added some as3 code in the first frame that reads:
Security.allowDomain("site1.co.uk"); Security.allowDomain("www.site1.co.uk"); Security.allowDomain("https://www.site2.co.uk/crossdomain.xml");
Security.loadPolicyFile("https://www.site2.co.uk/crossdomain.xml");
It still says in the debug security error...
Any thoughts?
Mike
