Here's a link to the actions (I attempted to remove formatting to get rid of a "Post flooding" message): https://shared-assets.adobe.com/link/db342f28-4a81-41dc-6a2d-40870d7e769d Thanks!

It's also possible that the printer will want the native art files (depending on the type of printing, any special inks, etc.). To do this, use the File/Package... command and compress the resulting folder before sending. Our printing company actually uses a custom PDF preset for our in-house files--from our customers, we usually request native Illustrator art with fonts (or text converted to outlines) and links included. Hope this helps!

It appears to be linked text boxes--here's an older tutorial explaining it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGZ-yJBQDDc

Sorry for the delayed response--spam filter. Unable to attach an .aia file (or a .zip file) within this thread--is there a better way to attach files?

Hello! We recently upgraded to Illustrator 2021 (from 2019) at our print shop--third-party software was finally upgraded at the same time. We've noticed now that our Actions are giving us issues (adding in crop marks, not reducing file size as before, etc.). This has happened before, so in the past, we've simply rebuilt the actions from scratch. The actions consist of saving the .ai file as a .pdf with a custom preset to a couple different locations--one action also contains a "Fit to Selected Art" command (under Object/Artboards). We've attempted to re-load previously saved actions, but they don't work correctly (preset settings aren't being honored). We've tried to edit the existing actions, and even re-record them, but certain commands are no longer recording. These are simple actions--one saves a high-res and a low-res .pdf to two different folders, and another saves a high-res .pdf with the artboard cropped to the selection. We're running Illustrator 2021 (25.3.1), Mojave OS (10.14.6). Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks in advance!

Is there a way I can attach the file, or upload it to somewhere that you can look at it? And by the way, sorry for the delay in responding--my notifications must not be going to my email.

Eric--nothing in the links panel. I'm not sure how to check plugins, but nothing appears out of the ordinary. Monika--View > Preview on CPU didn't make a difference.

Hello! One of our sales reps is having issues with a fillable-form .pdf on his Mac laptop (he's running Mojave--so I am, with no such issue). When he starts typing into a field, he can see the first letter of what he typed, but only blank spaces after that, until he exits the field. He's using Acrobat DC for viewing his .pdfs. I've poked around the forums and found a few threads on slightly different issues, mostly having to do with using Preview for .pdfs, which isn't the case here. Screenshots below (apologies for the fuzziness). Any ideas? Whatever feedback you may have is greatly appreciated--thanks!

Hello! I'm opening a file that looks like this on my workstation (Mac Pro late 2013 running Mojave 10.14): When my co-worker opens it on her workstation (Mac Pro late 2013 running El Capitan 10.11.6), she gets this (which I believe is actually the intended effect): This isn't just a difference in viewing options--we're both set to Overprint Preview, and we're both running Illustrator 2018 (22.1). When I output the file to our wide-format printer, I get the top result--when she does, she gets the bottom result. It's almost as if a clipping is being ignored on my workstation--all that messy stuff is most likely supposed to be inside the outlined copy. My supervisor's Mac Pro is running Sierra (not sure which number and he's gone for the day), and he gets what I get--the top result, which I believe is incorrect. I've gone through the Preferences panes and can't find anything that might relate to this. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance!

Another thanks! We upgraded to CS6 not too long ago, and Suitcase was causing some issues when it was enabled for CS6. When I did a support call with Suitcase (running CS6 and SF4 on 10.7.5), they had me do a Quickstart Guide (meaning I cleaned out and reinstalled my fonts), and this issue came up where the layer names were disappearing. When I moved my Verdana fonts from "Macintosh HD/Library/Fonts Disabled" to "Macintosh HD/Library/Fonts," then cleaned up in Font Book and restarted SF4 and Illustrator CS6, everything looked fine again.

Hello! Is there a way to delete an artboard and everything on it with one command? I always have to do <shift><o> and <delete> for the artboard, then <esc> and select the art to delete it.
