Edit: I found it - the brushstroke consists of nested layers. If you click inside you get to the base areas which were at 85%. Many thanks for the solution! LG + good night!

Hello Kurt! Many thanks for your answer. I did everything the same way and was also able to create my own brush. However, even after dragging the brush onto the drawing area, I couldn't set the colour so that it was opaque - although the settings in the control panels indicate this (see the screenshot). Do you have any ideas as to why this is not working?

I have a small operating problem for which I cannot find a solution. I have assigned a brush to contours (artistic brush, ink). Looks great - but the outline is always semi-transparent. But I want it to be 100% opaque. I searched in the brush settings of the brush itself (no setting option that would have changed anything). Even in the usual control panels (Contour: Opacity, Appearance, etc) everything is set to 100% and ‘normal’ Even if I convert the brushstroke to paths, everything is not 100% opaque. Although the settings of the resulting shapesshould have 100% opacity (see screenshot on the right). Is there no way to change the appearance of the predefined brush to 100% opaque? I would be grateful for a specific tip. LG, Hubertus

Hello Bojan. Thank you very much for your reply! That's really funny. Your tip works. Is this a system bug in Windows or in the programme? LG, Hubertus

As soon as you create a layer in the layer palette in modes other than “normal” (e.g. multiply, copy one into the other, etc.), the shortcuts for selecting tools or changing the brush size, for example, temporarily no longer work. Only when you select a new tool manually (e.g. V-move) do the shortcuts work again. However, if you create a layer in normal mode in the layer palette, the short cuts remain active, as expected. Photoshop version: Photoshop 2025 (... but was already like this in the last 2024) OS: Windows 11 Pro (24H2, latest version) Steps to reproduce the error: Create a new layer in the layer palette in a mode other than “normal” (e.g. multiply, copy one into the other, etc.) Type shortcut: e.g. “B for Brush”, “V for Move”, “I” or other tools Only when you select the V (move) tool again with the mouse or pen do the shortcuts work again.

Hello community, dear experts! (... especially @gg_2332, @Bobby Henderson, @Valerie27985386rxci, @JurriaanHos , @UK TV Professional , @macayla352700985ftk, @deannarw, @StephanieL ... and @anubhav who wanted to help in August). In the meantime we have landed at Illustrator 29.01. I have recently reinstalled my system and Illstrator several times. Nevertheless, the bug with the unstoppable scroll bar is still there. If you forget that you are not allowed to use the scroll bar with the Wacom pen, you has been losed. You have to close the program in the task manager if it hasn't crashed beforehand. Personally, I have deactivated Windows Ink. But the effect is the same when it is activated. You can still only deactivate Wacom support in the default settings - but then you can no longer work with the brush and brush pressure. An expert from Wacom said that the technicians there suspect that Illustrator is probably not registering the “tip-up” event. Wouldn't that be an approach that the Adobe programmers could investigate? With every program update, I hope that the error has now been taken into account and fixed - unfortunately, so far in vain. I would probably not be the only one who would be very happy if something finally happened here. LG, Hubertus

Hello everyone! (... and especially @gg_2332 @Bobby Henderson @Valerie27985386rxci , @JurriaanHos , @UK TV Professional , @macayla352700985ftk , @deannarw , @StephanieL ... ) Obviously the problem is not with the Wacom driver. I have also asked about this in the Wacom forum: https://support.wacom.com/hc/de/community/posts/26063106643863-Unstoppable-scroll-bar-when-working-with-the-Wacom-Pen-in-Adobe-Illustrator?page=1#community_comment_26233697937047 Here it is pointed out that the problem, which only occurs with some users, does not appear with older Illustrator versions. On the one hand, this could be an indication that it is due to the latest versions of Illustrator, but on the other hand it is not a solution because you want or have to work with the current version of Illustrator. Unfortunately, the latest Illustrator update has still not brought any improvement. 😥 @ Anubhav - has there been any feedback from the product team? Kind regards, Hubertus

Hello @D Fosse Thank a lot for your reply! These tests have all been done several times and I had already posted system info in the previous threads. Nevertheless I tried everything again. Both on my current PC and on my old Macbook Pro (with Photoshop 24.7.0). I have since sold my Imac after switching to PC. Unfortunately, the result is always the same. As soon as I switch off GPU compositing the glitches are gone, as soon as I switch it on again they are back. But since my PC has been completely rebuilt, the system has been reinstalled several times in the meantime (and only Photoshop was installed first) - and the same problem exists on a Mac with a different system and graphics card + with an older version of Photoshop - and the glitches are still there again immediately, I assume that the problem cannot be with my computers or my systems - but with Photoshop. And it's precisely the GPU compositing (... as you also said). Something with the GPU compositing function is not working as it should, which was still possible before Photoshop 2024. I also still find it remarkable that the problems do not occur as soon as you convert the document to CMYK mode or switch to 16-bit mode. Not all users seem to have this problem. It is probably related to certain graphics cards and system configurations. However, for some people with certain setups, like me, it is definitely immediate and reproducible at any time. In any case, my new graphics card is very powerful, the latest driver is installed and there are no other error messages anywhere - so it should actually be usable for compositing. That's why I would really appreciate it if a developer could have a look at the cause and troubleshooting ... Hello @ Bobby Henderson and all. Unfortunately, neither the new driver from Wacom (WacomTablet_6.4.7-3) nor the Illustrator update (28.7) has brought any improvement. 😥 As soon as you activate ‘Devices’ / ‘Wacom’ and try to scroll with the pen, the bar ‘hooks’ and you have lost. If you deactivate ‘Devices’ / ‘Wacom’ again, scrolling works normally again - but you no longer have a pressure option for the pen with the brush. 😒

@ Anubhav Wonderful, thank you very much! That gives hope! As @ Bobby Henderson also noted, there are some issues with the pen - not just in Illustrator - and this is likely related to the interaction between Adobe's interface, Wacom drivers and Windows Ink. @ Bobby Henderson I totally agree with you there. The problem is, what if you only have a PC with a Windows system to work on? I also deactivated Windows Ink after I had problems with the Wacom Pen in all Adobe programmes (but not only Adobe programmes). It was no longer possible to work with it. In the end, deactivating of Windows ink helped - and activating the old Wintab API in Photoshop. From then on, the pen worked normally again in all programmes, inkluding pressure. Except for Illustrator (with the special scrollbar problem - so this actually exists even when Windows Ink is deactivated) - there the Wintab API can apparently not be activated at the moment as in Photoshop. I really hope that Adobe, Wacom and Microsoft will find a solution in the future! Hello @anubhav Thank you for your reply and suggestions. You must have overlooked the fact that in the thread I linked above, others have tried the same things you recommended several times without success (... and in the end only had the solution of deactivating in the ‘Preferences’ under ‘Devices’ / ‘Wacom’). Nevertheless, I have tried everything you recommended over the last few days. That was a few hours of frustrating work 😥 Unfortunately without success. In any case, after activating ‘Devices’ / ‘Wacom’, the scroll bar error immediately reappeared. And disappeared again after deactivation. However - as already mentioned - the pressure support for the brushes then fails. In my opinion, it is obvious that there is a problem with Illustrator in combination with the Wacom extension. The problem probably does not occur on all devices and constellations, but on some and certainly different ones (e.g. from @Valerie27985386rxci , @JurriaanHos , @UK TV Professional , @macayla352700985ftk , @deannarw , @StephanieL ... and there are certainly more). Since Adobe explicitly mentions support for Wacom tablets, it would be great if they could look into the cause and possibly fix the problem. Would be very, very great! 👌 At the moment, I can't use the print function on my system with the pen and drawing with a natural brush stroke is no longer possible. So unfortunately the problem has not yet been solved. Greetings, Hubertus

When working with the Wacom pen in Illustrator, the vertical scroll bar often ‘hooks onto the pen’ and can no longer be left. You can only scroll.
You then have to try to quit the programme somehow, after a restart the work works again for a short time.
The problem is known:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/side-scroll-bar-not-stopping-when-supposed-to/m-p/14103647
As a solution, it was suggested to deactivate ‘Wacom’ in ‘Preferences’ under ‘Devices’.
This works to the extent that the problem has disappeared - however, the pressure settings are then no longer available for the brushes.
Therefore it is not a solution. 😒
Would be great if the bug could be fixed! 🤠

Issue: Further glitches when working in RGB documents (8 bit) under layers in "Colour" mode, etc. Photoshop version: Photoshop 2023 (24.XX) to Photoshop 2024 (25.11) OS: 3. Windows 11 Pro (23H2, latest version) - current 2. Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 1. Mac Os Big Sur 11.7 Hardware:* 3. PC - current *(For exact specifications see: Notes) 2. iMac 1. Macbook Pro Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a document in RGB mode (e.g. A4, 300 DPI) 2. Create a layer in colour mode -Color- or e.g. -Multiply- 3. create several other layers underneath. Preferably with various contents. E.g. texts, colour gradients, objects, smart objects, adjustment layers etc. - also groups... (See example file) 4. under the layer in mode -Colour- on one of the other layers: Draw + move a gradient Or: work with the brush Or: edit + move a text layer Or: perform various other actions → Note: sometimes the order in which the different layers are placed under the upper layer in -Color- mode (e.g. the text layers above the smart object - or vice versa) plays a role Expected result: Trouble-free working! Actual result: Glitches occur during the actions described above (see videos). The glitches only disappear again when the upper layer is hidden and shown again in -Colour- mode. Provisional work-around: - Convert document to 16 bit mode - Or: Convert document to CMYK mode - Deactivate graphics type support → All work-arounds have disadvantages and affect the design options and the final result. Notes: The problem with these glitches has been affecting work since Photoshop 24.XX (Mac OS). Currently with Photoshop 25.11 (PC Windows 11 Pro) First on my Macbook Pro: - Intel Quad Core i7, 2.5 Ghz, RAM: 16 GB DDR3 - Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GT 750M - Mac OS Big Sur 11.7 Then on my iMac: - Intel Core i9 3.6 Ghz 64 GB, RAM: DDR4 RAM - Graphics: AMD Radeon Pro 580X 8GB VRAM - Mac OS 14.5 Sonoma Currently on my PC: - AMD Rysen 9 79503D 16Core 4.20GHz, RAM: 64 GB DDR5 - Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 24GB VRAM - Windows 11 Pro, 23H2, current Nvidia Studio driver 560.81 (08/24) Previous tests and procedure to fix the problem: Current: - Windows 11 was completely reinstalled. Including bios, chip driver, graphics driver - everything was updated. After reinstallation, Photoshop alone was installed. The glitches were back immediately. Before that, individual tests, measures: - All fonts were uninstalled, with a new font manager only a few fonts were loaded. - All preferences were deleted - Photoshop was uninstalled and reinstalled - Various possible default settings for graphics card support were tested - Graphics card support was completely deactivated in the preferences Only the last point listed (disable graphics card support completely) resulted in no more glitches appearing But - this is not really surprising, as it is obviously a display problem and a problem with the graphics card. Since the same problem now occurs over several generations of Photoshop, as well as on different operating systems (Mac OS + Windows), with different graphics cards (Nvidia + AMD / Mac + Nvidia / PC) and always different, latest drivers, it can probably be assumed that there is a fundamental problem with layer mode processing while Photoshop is working with the graphics card. I can rule out faulty graphics cards or setting errors. As some users in the forum also had the problem, other users could not reproduce the problem on their machines with a test file (see links to posts below), the problem only seems to occur with certain system, hardware, graphics card combinations. I would be more than happy for you to investigate and fixing the problem! Working with layers in different modes is one of the special and most important design options in Photoshop (certainly not only for me). Examples: Glitches when moving, creating gradients, creating text, painting: Glitches - through different arrangement of the layers: Test file to download: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ta64a7dyydqeii0ha908k/Glitches-08_2024.psd?rlkey=25hrcnk5lelg88s67yqllvbsi&dl=0 Older discussions about the problem in the forum: 05 / 2024: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/still-problems-with-glitches-when-working-under-layers-in-colour-multiply-etc-mode/m-p/14661168#M813779 06 / 2023: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/artifacts-when-drawing-in-folders-under-layers-with-modes-like-quot-color-quot-incorrect-display/m-p/14096091#M788041 04 / 2023 https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/glitches-beim-zeichnen-oder-verschieben-innerhalb-ebenen-gruppen-im-modus-multiplizieren/m-p/13932354#M743887

Hi guys! Thanks for the quick feedback! ( @johnrellis, @GoldingD, @Per Berntsen ). - I have reset preferences - but no change achieved. - I always save XMP as a separate file: here is an example of a flipped image: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/32vz28nrpaqgqs2utwvly/AF2S7OsIyab8Lmx8es-s88I?rlkey=3mzpx91juxcso5jc3yzm0qe45&dl=0 The JPG in the folder shows the original orientation. In Lightroom catalogue it has been flipped and the alignment is to the left there. - I have made some other significant colour corrections as a test - these are also applied when opening in Photoshop. Only the orientation is still wrong (image is upside down). - And as already written - when I open the same image in Topaz Photo AI, for example, it is shown the right way round. I have therefore also reset Photoshop once, but that doesn't work either. - Then I mirrored another RAW format: a Fuji RAF, and this time: this flipping is applied in Photoshop! So is something not (or no longer) working properly with the Sony ARW format? Perhaps is this a bug?

PS: Something else I have noticed: When I open the same mirrored image in Topaz AI, it is shown the right way (and mirrowed like before in Lightroom). Also: When I open ARWs in Lightroom via shortcut in Photoshop, the intermediate question ‘Open copy with Lightroom changes’ does not appear. Is this correct? However, the changes to the mirroring from Lightroom are still transferred to Photoshop...

Hello Community & experts! Lightroom Classic 13.4 Photoshop 25.11 After I have horizontally mirrored images in ARW format in Lightroom and open these images for editing in Photoshop, they are shown there mirrored as edited - but upside down. Hello Communinity, dear Adobe experts & employees The bug with the glitches under layers in certain modes such as -colour- or -multiply- is still present and unfortunately annoying again and again. After I had the bug for the first time under PSD 24.XX on my iMacs (MacOS Big Sur up to Mac OS 14.5 Sonoma / AMD Radeon Pro 580X 8GB / 64 GB DDR4), it persisted from the beginning even after I switched to a PC with Windows 11Pro. Even with the new Photoshop version 25.11, nothing has changed (see video): Here you can also see that the glitches when moving disappear: -> if you change the position of the -tone value correction- adjustment layer -> if you change the document mode to 16 bit To download and try it out: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/nt5dr64jim75t5vxbkmwq/Glitches-07_2024.psd?rlkey=e3qz8g9r7wdi7ei4u1a6gikmv&dl=0 As you can see in the new test, glitches (in this case a glitch) occur as soon as you move something under a layer in -colour- mode (the same also applies to -multiply-, -copy into each other- and some others) or paint with the pen (see older videos). There has already been a lot of feedback on this (especially with thanks from: @Ged_Traynor, @c.pfaffenbichler, @Doppeljochen, @Kevin Stohlmeyer), but no solution - just perplexity. Especially as the problem does not occur for all users. The last suspicion that it might have to do with fonts or font management has unfortunately also proved to be a dead end, as you can see above (no font layer + I have now also removed all post-installed fonts from the system, and now manage a few with a font management tool). It is clear that the glitches must have something to do with the graphics card (if you switch off support, the glitches don't appear either). However, everything is fine with the graphics card. And the fact that the same glitches also appeared on other systems with other graphics cards and other drives) suggests that there must be something fundamental in Photoshop itself in the way it handles the calculation of certain layer modes, or rather in the way it involves the graphics card (or certain models, with certain features? Since I literally didn't have these glitches for decades with Photoshop up to version 24.XX and was often able to use the wonderful functions of the layer modes such as -colour-, I don't want to give up hope that I will be able to use them again at some point without problems. I therefore urgently request a review by Adobe employees and look forward to further information. If other users like @Doppeljochen have similar problems, please let me know! Perhaps there are similarities in the device constellation that can help... Unfortunately, I have not yet found a real solution to Problem 3: Pen pressure control sometimes disturbed after switching to other Adobe programmes. This does not seem to be a Windows Ink or Wintab problem. Sometimes after switching between Photoshop and Lightroom, the pen pressure setting can no longer be selected in Photoshop. Sometimes switching back and forth between the tools helps. But sometimes it doesn't. Maybe someone else has for that an idea?

Regarding Problem 1: Problems operating menu fields in Photoshop ( + Lightroom Classic) with the Wacom Pro Pen 2. The sliders in Photoshop (or Lightroom) tool menu fields cannot be moved or cannot be moved correctly with the pen - and other issues. There seems actually a connection here with Windows Ink or Wintap (which @AxelMatt's link also pointed out). The problem is also at the system level. I also had operating problems with the pen in many other programmes. Not only in Adobe programmes such as Lightroom and Indesign (I haven't installed Premiere Pro and After Effect yet, but I suspect it was similar there) - Libre Office, Firefox and Thunderbird and even Microsoft Edge have problems (e.g. nothing can be marked with the pen in the browser line). Solution Step 1: Deactivate Windows Ink (possible in the Wacom driver under the "Projections" setting. As soon as Windows Ink is deactivated, all setting tools, sliders and input fields in all Adobe programmes and other programmes will immediately work again as they should with the pen. Why? Because, if I have understood correctly, Winap now functions as the API between the tablet driver and the system and programmes instead of Windows Ink. And although this is older, it is, as I was told, working more "mouse-like" than the newer Windows Ink API. So apparently the Wacom drivers can still communicate via this interface. But - big disadvantage in relation to Photoshop: in Photoshop, pen printing normally only works with "Windows Ink" activated. Fortunately, there is also a solution for this. Solution Step 2: In Photoshop, a trick can be used to switch off the need for Windows Ink by deactivating extensions. Please look here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/enable-optional-extensions-photoshop-cc.html#Howtoenableextensions See section: "Use WinTab instead of Windows Ink" If you follow the instructions and restart Photoshop with this change, pen printing will also work as desired without Windows Ink!

Hello @Alan 7140, @AxelMatt Thank you very much for your answers. In the meantime I have been able to solve two main problems with the help of the friendly Wacom support in the Wacom forum: I'll start, as it's easier, with Problem 2: Shortcuts for tool selection in Photoshop are broken, dei tools no longer jump back when the corresponding shortcut is used. This function led to the error I described: In Photoshop there is a function called "Spring Loaded Tools". Fortunately, you can deactivate this function in the Photoshop preferences in the "Tools" menu. Once I had done this, the problem was solved!

Dear community, dear experts. I believe that the problems with the Wacom tablet pen operation listed below have to do with the Wacom software - but who knows - maybe it is also a reciprocal issue with the Adobe programmes concerned? Description: After I discarded my old Intuos Pro 4 XL PTK 1240 and switched to Intous Pro L (PTH 680) and Pro M (PTH 660) to work with the latest Wacom drivers 6.4.6 - 2, I am unfortunately still experiencing operating problems in Photoshop and other applications: 1. Problems operating menu panels in Photoshop ( + Lightroom Classic) via Wacom Pro Pen 2: The sliders in Photoshop (or Lightroom) tool menu fields cannot be moved or cannot be moved correctly with the pen. For example, the sliders (small triangles) for brush size or histogram tone value correction cannot be touched or moved correctly or at all. You have to click on new positions in the slider bar so that the slider jumps there. If you then try to enter the brush size in the field for a numerical entry of the brush size in the example, the number cannot be clicked or marked correctly. If you double-click it, not all characters are selected but cryptic characters are added (= . , commas, dots, equal signs etc.). 2. Shortcuts for tool selection in Photoshop are faulty (after installing the Wacom software: Wacom Centre, latest driver): Shortcuts for switching tools (e.g. V for move, B for brush, R for rotate workspace) are occasionally disrupted. The changeover gets "stuck" at the last used tool and no longer works with a shortcut, but the button must be pressed (... with the shortcut, the new tool is briefly selected, but as soon as you release the button on the keyboard, the tool selection jumps back to the last selected tool). 3. pen pressure control sometimes disturbed after switching to other Adobe programmes: When switching back and forth between the Photoshop and Illustrator or Lighroom applications, sometimes afterwards the pen pressure for brushes or erasers is no longer available in Photoshop. Sometimes it can be reactivated by switching back and forth between the tools, but often it only works again when you close the document and Photoshop and restart the entire programme. What I have already checked and tried to solve the problem: X Completely reinstalled the system X Reinstalled Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator X Old Wacom tablet discarded, new Intuous Pro L + M purchased X Reinstalled Wacom software and drivers (latest versions) X Windows Ink is activated X In the control panel / pen and finger input / right-click and hold = deactivated (to hide the annoying Windows ring) Result - the errors persist. Working with the Wacom Pen is very difficult. 😞 Since Photoshop (and Lightroom) can be operated normally with the mouse without any problems, I suspect that there is a driver problem that I cannot solve. But who knows? Who has similar experiences or knows how to help? Greetings, Hubertus System and programme information: Windows 11 pro (23H2) Photoshop 25.9.1 Lightroom Classic 13.4 Illustrator 28.5 Wacom driver: 6.4.6 - 2 Tablets: Intous Pro L (PTH680) + Intous M (PTH660) Pen: Wacom Pro Pen 2 AMD Rysen 9 79503D 16Core 4.20GHz 64 GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 24GB VRAM (TUF-RTX4090-OG) Studio driver 555.99 (6/24)

Hello @Kevin Stohlmeyer Thanks for your feedback. ... ah - sorry - that was just a mistake in the description - I've been on Sonoma 14.5 on my IMac for a while and have corrected that above (but as described, the problems already started under Big Sur and PSD 24.XX) Greetings, Hubertus

Hello Community, Experts. (... + @Kevin Stohlmeyer , @Ged_Traynor , @c.pfaffenbichler , @Doppeljochen ...) I have now completely reinstalled my system, updated all drivers to the latest version (chipset, board, graphics card etc, even the Bios/UEFI) - and installed nothing but the Creativ Cloud and Photoshop. I started Photoshop with the default settings (no old presets) and created a new document. RGB, white surface. In one layer a text (in Myriad Pro). As soon as I create a layer above it in "Colour" mode, the familiar glitch defect appears immediately. If I convert the document to CMYK or 16-bit mode, it disappears again (as usual). In view of the previous history and still the error on various systems (MacOS and Windows) - I am now convinced that it is a Photoshop error. Since it is apparently only reproducible for a few users, it seems to have to do with certain hardware and software constellations. Here once again my constellations (current): PSD now version 25.9.1 (But also already in version: 24.6 and earlier 24.XX) 1 Windows 11 pro (23H2) AMD Rysen 9 79503D 16Core 4.20GHz 64 GB RAM DDR 5 (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 24GB VRAM) Studio driver 555.99 2 Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 iMac Retina 5K 2019 (AMD Radeon Pro 580X 8GB / 64 GB DDR4) 3 Mac OS Big Sur 11.7.8 (Photoshop 2023, 24.7.0) MacBook Pro, Retina, 15", mid-2014 (NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2 GB / 16 GB DDR3) It would probably be best if programmers could have a look. Or what do you think? In any case, I can't think of anything else that I could change or test.... 😞 Maybe other users have the same problems? Best regards, Hubertus

Hello @Kevin Stohlmeyer Thanks a lot for your reply! About the Studio driver: Yes - the current Studio driver for the card is running. And all settings are also optimised (... and various setting variants have also been tried many times in the meantime). In addition - as described above in the thread - both with the same file and with different files with a similar structure (layers below a layer in colour mode, multiply etc) - exactly the same problems occur on 3 different machines (2 x Mac OS, now new Windows 11 Pro) - with different graphics cards and also different Photoshop versions (from 24.XX - 25.9.1). You can imagine that something is not optimally set on one card, but on three different ones, one of which has just been put into operation with the new Windows computer? Incidentally, the hope of getting rid of the glitches was one of the reasons for buying the new computer with a more powerful graphics card (and a new system). It's a real surprise that they're still there. 😳 Really crazy. That's why I'm now looking for what's link between everything - and suspect that it might have something to do with the handling of fonts in general in photoshop? I have reset all settings x times. I have also reinstalled Photoshop several times on all systems. The problem is always there again. My plan at the moment is to completely reinstall Windows and then just install Photoshop and test the test file in the new state. I have just tried the workspace alternative with tabs (standard workspaces), but no luck. Same Glitches. But it woudn't really fun either, after all I have extra a second monitor for all my tools. Greetings, Hubertus

Update Hello Communitiy, Experts. (... and @Ged_Traynor, @c.pfaffenbichler, @Doppeljochen ...) Since the glitches problem seems to be related to fonts (... I use the same fonts on both PC and Mac ...), I uninstalled all non-system fonts on my Windows machine. After that didn't work, I also uninstalled all the fonts I had activated in the Creative Cloud - that didn't work either. I have also deleted all preferences again. The glitches are still appearing: And still under Windows 11 Pro (PSD version 25.9.1) - as well as under Mac OS (PSD version 25.9.1 + 24. 7.4). Incidentally, the glitches occur in several modes of the upper layer. In addition to the "Colour" mode (example video), it's also under layers in the modes "Multiply", "Negative multiply" and "Overlay" modes. If the document is converted to 16-bit mode or CMYK, the glitches no longer occur on all systems. Since the glitches occur when the fonts are deleted from the document (or when they are not loaded because they are not installed), I tend to see a cause in connection with fonts or font management. But what could be the cause and how can it be switched off? Does anyone else have an idea? Greetings, Hubertus

@c.pfaffenbichler ... Yes - I've already tried everything. And if I deactivate in the GPU-settings >GPU - Compositing< , there are no glitches. Which somehow makes sense - after all, this relates how Photoshop creates an image from all the different layers. I have also read in the meantime that Photoshop 2021 with this has made a new technological leap - with known, initial problems with GPU support. But somehow I can't accept that. Why do I have an extra fast and good graphics card? The information I can call up in Photoshop menue under Help is: Successful: OpenGL available Successful: DirectX available Successful: DirectX function level 12.2 available, function level 12.0 required Successful: Above the required VRAM (24142 MB of 1500 MB required) GPU recognised: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 (NVIDIA) And at the bottom bar left under >GPU Mode< is displayed: D3D12 = "This is the preferred mode for Windows and means you can take full advantage of the most modern GPU APIs on this platform." So it can't really be the card's fault (with the latest driver). Especially as the illogicality remains as to why the same problems occur on my other system with the other cards.... Absolute mystery... Who knows what to do?

Hey @Ged_Traynor Thanks a lot again for your efforts! Darn - now I really can't think of anything else where I could start and how I could fix the problem... 😞 Perhaps someone still has an idea? Or a similar problem - and was able to fix it?

@c.pfaffenbichler, @Ged_Traynor and @rayek.elfin Thanks again for your tests and feedback!!! So it remains absolutely crazy. As soon as I activate the colour layer, I have these glitches on both my Mac and my PC. What could be the reason? I have one last request. I have just removed all font layers from the document because I realised that you had not loaded the fonts. And lo and behold, the glitches don't appear for me either. No matter whether I move the smart objects or draw something with the pen (all with the colour layer activated) - no glitches. Since you obviously haven't loaded the fonts, may I ask you to load some fonts from your system and check whether the glitches still don't appear? It is not very likely - but maybe it is due to a problematic interaction with loaded fonts? Kind regards, Hubertus

PS: @c.pfaffenbichler But you didn't move the elements or paint WHILE the upper layer in mode color is activated - or did I see that wrong in your video? Because that's exactly the point. Not the movement or working on the layers in general... Would it be possible you check that again? Thank you very much!
