Thank you all for your input! Here are the settings I have thus far for the Object style for Anchored Objects and Size and Position in that as well. Could these be incorrectly set up? Can you please advise how best to get everything to line up?

Okay, I am wondering if I have set up the style sheets incorrectly in the Objects panels. Maybe the X and y numbers are off? I do have them set to align with the spine. I just don't know how to fix this and as I mentioned I've been trying to get it all to line up both horizontally and vertically.

I still need advice and assistance, please. I have set up Object styles, Paragraph and Character styles. I have also anchored each of the numbers to the bullet symbol/cap letters to line up horizontally. They are not lining up to the baseline grid and the vertical alignment is not even from the page edges on either side. I am not sure how to fix this or if I have the settings incorrect. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Are you referring to a PDF or the IndDesign doc? Trying to line up the numbers with the scripture quotes going across and line up the numbers as if there was a decimal point going down the page on both sides equally.

I am running into issues and I need guidance, please. I want to line up the numbered text blocks. All the numbers are anchored to the bullet symbol in the main text block. At the top of each page should list the scripture number in bold and the verse number after the colon. Going down the pages lists just the verse numbers. I have them set up to align to the baseline grid and the spine and they are all right justified in the styles. I have a paragraph style and character style for each of the two different numbers styles. I also set up Object styles with paragraph, size and position, and anchored objects, but they do not seem to line up correctly. I am not sure how to balance the left and right-numbered text blocks so that they are equal distances from the center main text block. Any suggestions would be great as I have struggled with this for several days, ugh!

Thank you again! So, I should go in and fix the paragraph styles first? Anything specific I need to do? I am the second person to work on this document and there are lots of styles set up 😔. I tried to create facing pages but I couldn't get a spread without extra pages. Maybe there is a way to do that but I am unfamiliar with it.

Right, should have known that. I want to align the numbers to the right as if there were a decimal number in front of it. Oh, and yes, this particular page isn't anchored but the previous one in the spread is. I was trying to show an example using a table to demonstrate the vertical positioning I am trying to achieve.

Can I set up a fake decimal point for vertical alignment going down the column in paragraph styles? Currently, I have the numbers anchored to the scripture reference text. Now I am trying to figure out the best way to line those numbers going down.

Vertically. Similar to a table but without the lines, but the numbering position consistently as if there were a decimal point there so they line up.
