"Are you new to After Effects?" While I appreciate Mr. Rick Gerard's expertise in community patronizing, I find his approach somewhat prescriptive. After Effects needs modernization, particularly in its user interface and shortcuts. The software should focus on improving basic functionality like smooth preview performance before adding 3D features—features that can't compete with dedicated 3D applications like Blender or Cinema 4D, which seem to appeal more to Adobe's marketing team than actual users. While the suggested workflow steps are traditional, they don't address the core issue: we need better playback performance from Adobe After Effect. For context, I'm experiencing these performance issues despite using high-end hardware: 62GB RAM, Asus ProArt workstation, NVIDIA 4080, and AMD Ryzen 9—all while working with just a 15-second composition. Thank you very much, So my issue was that I had to delete the Brushe on the path. This has been really quick troubleshooting therefore really helpful. Have a great day Ricky thanks again!

Dear Community, I am trying to import a Path from illustrator to After effects, When i do so and when i create the shape from the vector layer, The illustrator's path change into an expanded shape and not a path. Making me unable to do a trim path wich is really davastating. Example linked Any idea of why and how to manage this ? Thank you very much
