I found that even if Adobe PDF Maker is enabled in MS Excel, the "Save as PDF" option is still missing. This just started for me, and was working as of last week. Now, it is gone. The only way I can get the "Save as PDF" option to return is to open Excel as and administrator, then open my excel file.

I believe that I've finally found what, for me at least, is a solution to this issue. At the top of the page, click "Create A PDF" From the Create a PDF page, click "Scanner" Click the Gear icon next to "My Custom Settings" You can change any settings that you like, or just use the current settings and then click "Scan" When the page is scanned, the new document will open in a new tab. From here you can either save the document, or insert new pages to add pages and then save. Close the tab for the document that you just saved. The New document tag remains open, and all you have to do to start a new scan is click the "Scan" button at the bottom. You may keep or change any of the settings. Keep doing this until you've scanned all of the documents that you need to scan.

I agree. I also reported this issue in 2018, and here we are, still with no solution, even though nearly everything else in the interface has changed and been moved all around.

This is an Illustrator issue, and has been for some time. Keyboard shortcuts will just stop working when you've been working in Illustrator for awhile. For me I usually see it when Ctrl - and Ctrl = stop working for zoom in and out. I have this issue on multiple machines with multiple versions of illustrator, and I've seen other have it when they are using illustrator on there machines as well. I really wish adobe would quit acting like this is a user issue and fix it. It's very frustrating to have to stop and relaunch the software over and over just to get it to work correctly.

I've been experiencing this same issue. While my video is running, I see the gray loading screen, and all controls are disabled. Through some thorough debugging, I've been able to identify that this is built in to Captivate Captivate has a div call blockUserInteraction that gets enabled anytime it thinks the video is buffering. When this div is enabled, it blocks all other interactions. I've found that I can hide this interaction so that it doesn't make the screen gray by adding some javascript to the slide when it starts: {$('.loadingBackground').css({'background-color':'#fff', 'opacity':'0'});} but it still blocks any interaction with the slide. I've also tried deleting the div, which caused other issues, and moving the div off of the slide. Moving the div off of the slide seems to work. I could now access the buttons on the slide, and the skin buttons. I can see the button states change, but clicking the buttons was unresponsive. I'm hoping this information will help someone shine the light on where the problem in Captivate is, so we can find a fix. Dave

This setting is a real irritant for me. I think you need to make it a priority, and soon. Thanks, Dave Cox

Like all of Adobe's recent products, I'm finding that Acrobat is extremely slow. I've tried all of the listed solutions, but to no avail. I'm on Windows 7. I'm getting really frustrated with the whole CC product. Everything seems to be so slow as to be unusable.

In Acrobat XI, I had a menu button set up for one click custom scan. I could open Acrobat, click the custom scan menu button, set my scan parameters, and scan to a PDF. Since I've been forced to Acrobat DC, I've lost that ability. I set the menu button up as before, but the best that I've been able to get to is this: Open Acrobat, open a recent PDF document, then click the custom scan button (You can't get to the menu until a document is opened), click to deselect "Append to Existing File", Click the "My Custom Settings" radio button, and then click Scan. That is four clicks for what I used to be able to do this with one click. I need to do this often, so if any one has any suggestions about how to to this with one click, I would sure love to hear about it. I haven't really been impressed with Acrobat since version 11, and I sure wish I could go back to it. Thanks,

Hi Rod, Yes, the images, and some javascript settings for the html5 playbars are located at this location. But where is the rest of the code that builds and controls the functionality for the playbar? I'm very familiar with HTML5, CSS and Javascript, but so far I haven't found the actual code that builds the playbar. I can use AS to modify the behavior of the Flash widget, but where is the code to modify the behavior of the HTML5 playbar. Modifying the AS doesn't help me at all when I'm developing for responsive design, as that creates HTML5 only presentations. Thanks for your help.

I ran into this problem today. I also noticed that the selection says "Save for web (Legacy),,," Does the mean that Adobe is removing this as an option? That does not make me happy, as I use this all of the time. I also noticed, if your image is a 32 bit image, Save for web is disabled. You cannot export 32 bit images using Save for web.

I just discovered this, and I agree, removing the align function is going backwards. I used that a lot. Using the guides is not near as easy or convenient, and they are not smart guides anymore.

Since Adobe is obviously not listining. I am sharing my frutrations here. If enough users complain, maybe Adobe will take notice. In the mean time, if you don't like it, ignore it. Your comments are uncalled for. I call you by name, but I can't read your stupid signaure font.

Once again, the flash player update install McAfee Security scan on my computer, without asking for permission, or giving me the opportunity to not load it. Adobe, Stop Doing This! I don't need or want this!

If you have eLearning enabled, with SCORM selected, this box will gray out. If the box is not checked, Capivate will generate an empty html file. To correct this, uncheck eLearning. Goto to HTML box and be sure it is checked. Then recheck your eLearning, and re-enter your correct settings. Now Captivate will correctly create the html file. Dave

I don't know about you, but my point was not to complain to other users, but to tell Adobe to stop these unetical practices. I spend a lot of money with this company, and I don't appreciate the fact that 1) they don't provide a good way for customers to provide feed back, and 2) they act like low-life scam artists. And, my origianl complaint remains. Adobe pushes this software on users, many times without asking for permission to install it. This is completly unacceptable! Dave Cox

Adobe, You need to quit pushing mcafee scan on everyone. When you down load the flash player, you are installing Mcaffee scan on computers, even when it is unchecked. I have another solution, and I don't want or need Mcaffee. In fact, it always messes up my machine. Quit forcing this worthless application on people! Dave
