ACE Training

Hi all

I have been on a "bootcamp" cs4 ace training course and found it to be a complete waste of time and cash. As it did and does not prepare you for the ACE exam. Has anybody got any free online sites that may help me do it DIY as we say

This forum is dedicated to discussions of forums operation in general. Not for discussion of any specific product. However, having said that, I'm unfortunately at a bit of a loss to suggest the proper forum to post this question in.

So I'll just offer a couple of my own observations and philosophies here. There are specific sites where you may purchase sample tests. For example http://www.pass4sure.com. They sell what appears to be actual questions from the exams. Not sure how they get away with that, but it is what it is.

This next bit is just a personal observation. From my own standpoint I think if you just know the product well enough you should be able to pass the test without having to specially prepare for it. After all, that's what these exams are supposed to do, no? To ensure that you know the product well enough that you can be "certified" as knowing it? My own opinion here is that using specific preparation materials in order to simply pass the exam and say you are certified would seem to somewhat defeat the purpose of the exams in the first place. But I know it happens.

To add just a bit, with some products, the Adobe Classroom in a Book has questions at the end of each section. Those are the types of questions that one is going to encounter, and their purpose is test the reader's grasp of the concepts, that Adobe considers very useful.

If you are looking for specific ACE certification, for say Photoshop, I would post to that particular product forum.
