As you know, per our Community Guidelines you can report content. This quick guide will give you some useful information to use this feature in the best way possible 🙂

What kind of content can I report?

Despite the message specifically noting inappropriate content, there are other things that you can bring to our attention:

  • Content in violation of our Community Guidelines
This would cover abuse, spam, and similar.
  • Someone asking for confidential information such as product serial numbers
Adobe employees will never ask you for this type of information. Please review this post on how to identify Adobe staff  and report the user's message to us.
  • Data removal
Notify us if you've posted your private information by mistake, or noticed another user that may have shared it. This community is a public space, therefore personal information shouldn't be available in order to keep you safe. This includes but is not limited to payment information, home address, phone number, email address, government-issued IDs, or anything else that would let someone locate or contact you in the real world.
  • Post marked as spam
Some content can get automatically flagged as spam. Sometimes the system marks content that is not actually spam. Our employee moderators review these multiple times a day and reinstate any posts that were marked by mistake.
If your post got flagged but you believe it isn't violating any guidelines, let us know. We'll be able to review your post and make it public again.

What kind of content should I NOT report?

These reports get to our team of employee moderators. Often there are reports that we are unable to action, as this function isn't for that purpose. Here are some examples:

  • If you need employee assistance about your product or Adobe account issue.
If you have any questions or issues regarding any Adobe products or your Adobe account, please post in the relevant community to get assistance.
  • Old thread has outdated information or links
You may come across content that is a few months or even years old. The steps shown as the correct answer may no longer work due to updates made to the product, or the post may contain links that no longer exist. We encourage you to create a new post to get the most up to date information.
