Avatar disappeared.

My avatar which has been used for a year has disappeared. Anyone know why?

I see no place to "sign out".

Why are there several letters and numbers following my name?

I now can see after posting this reply that my avatar is back and the numbers/letters are gone.

I still do not see how to sign out.

That's the ghost account. If the avatar shows up, you are in with your original/good account. It should show around 244 messages. The ghost account only has 3 or 4 messages associated with it.
