I'd like to think the forum is a repository where answers to one person's questions can end up helping others in the future.
But that kind of goes to hell in a hurry if the forum loses supporting image information...
Exhibit A: A forum thread with a now missing image (see response #1), which was uploaded just a few days ago:

I happen to still have the image around, if it's at all helpful in restoring that thread to its former vigor. Here it is:

Obviously, this is a serious matter because you have noticed that your image has disappeared this time. I wonder if your posts are also going missing without your knowledge. You don't want want this to affect your history of postings do you?
Have you tried editing your original message to see if the image comes back. I am curious to know this because you are the first person to have noticed this flaw.

Posts with replies can't be edited by us mere mortals, unfortunately. I presume the admin can, though.
I'm not all that miffed by this, but I am making sure that every forum glitch I see is reported here, just to make sure Adobe knows about it. Perhaps all the quirks will be fixed one day. Perhaps.

Noel,
Your presumption is correct. Many things can be done with a MOD Console - editing replies w/ Reply To's, branching threads, moving threads, locking/unlocking threads - many things. Besides the recognized MOD's, many Adobe employees have MOD Consoles, and in some product forums, help out the MOD's all of the time. Not sure what the limitations of the MOD Console is, but I am sure that there are some things that just cannot be accomplished.
As for the disappearing images, I have not encountered that personally, but then usually post those only to the Premiere, Encore, Audition, PS and similar forums.
I HAVE had some post seemingly disappear, only to show back up again. Happened on Monday, May 09, with two of my posts. At that same time, there were a few wonky things going on, such as a couple of phantom log-outs and at least one Adobe server issue. Then, there have been the occasional instance, where a thread will show no replies, then though the reply count reflects some, and then some of those magically appear, as sonn as I post. Checking the date/time often indicates that they were up for some time, but just did not show to me.
I'll keep an eye open for any of my images disappearing - just in case.
Thanks for the H/U.

Here's another one - second of two images is not displaying.

I tried two different filenames. No luck.
Funny thing is the image is actually there if I Edit the post.

Did you insert both photos the same way? The code for each of them is quite different:
(not sure how that will come through via email).

Hmmm..., it rendered the links here. Let me try them as a quote via the web instead of in email:
<img alt="TestImages.jpg" class="jive-image-thumbnail jive-image" src="http://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/68344/TestImages.jpg" width="450" />
<img alt="ColorNoiseComparison.jpg" class="jive-image" src="http://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/2-3671064-68350/ColorNoiseComparison.jpg" __jive_id="68350" />
I'll see if I can get them to show up in the actual thread.

Please reply to your post over in camera raw. I tried replying with the links via the web, but it didn't work. It does seem to work if I reply via email. I just subscribed, so will reply to your message when I get it.
