Given that there is some confusion about where topics should go, can we have community descriptions added to the landing page? For example, many new posters are creating threads in the Community Help forum instead of the product forum because they aren't aware that Community Help means "help using the communities" not "ask the community for help with a product". A short description under the community name would be a big, big help with this, especially for the non-product communities.
Additionally, there's no way to tell if a community is accessible to everyone or if access is restriced to MVPs, ACPs, and staff. Adding that information to the description would be useful so we don't have to try to remember which is which.
