     These trees line the avenue where I live. Just about every yard has one. They're beautiful and very fragrant almost a sweet perfume aroma. My neighbor said she thought it was a wisteria but I've seen and smelled a wisteria it was more willowy and it's fragrance was different than this. My guess is it's a lilac of some sort but then again everythings a lilac to me as I'm just guessing. I can tell you this, the bloom only lasts a couple of weeks or so and then the rest of the spring and summer it devotes to proliferant large seed pod production . Can you tell what it is? The title says it all. Why is concept art only created using raster graphics? Like, I have never really seen one creating concept art in Illustrator (i.e. using vector graphics) rather than Photoshop.

I'm wondering if anyone here uses Neobarok?https://neobarok.com/ It's a  3D sculpting  app a bit like  Z-Brush, but where Z-Brush cost nearly as much as my first house (only a slight exaggeration), Neobarok is free.  I installed it yesterday, and I've been sort  of stumbling along with it.  That is to say I am creating content, and don't seem to have much control over it.  Well, almost no control at all. The guide is none too flash, and I am not finding much information on how to use  it.I've just done this with  it, and found I was doing a lot better than yesterday.   I also discovered that Lazy Nezumi Pro works with it (you have the hook the window) which is  a boon  because those  pipes were all over the place without LNPIt has a test feature that lets you play with the app, and it also shows the various render possibilities, but I have not worked out how to do that with a new model.  It looks pretty flash th

I read a bit about downloading stuff from internet (basically mp4 stuff from youtube ) and got VLC thinking it was pretty good program and one thing it could do was help me download stuff from youtube. I didn't try youtube download yet. I just tried vimeo and it didn't work. I could get the vimeo stuff into my cache ( win 10) as an mp4 but couldn't get the option to 'save as', so I failed in my attempt.It's a pro vimeo account I guess, so maybe there is something going on I have no clue about ??

Adobe, would you do a contest on revamping your website? How about redecorating the interior of your corporate offices? How about a contest on best new software -- is that next?  A successful graphic design involves solving problems, and creating solutions.  Its not a pretty picture to enhance your web pages...For the recent Bauhaus contest that was just announced, the prizes are really nice, but only a couple designers will win.... meanwhile ALL of these other designers, many of whom are hopeful emerging students, will be spending a lot of valuable time doing Adobe's marketing work for free... and without the appropriate information to really do a good job. I wish Adobe would respect graphic designers more, and "hire" an amazing team of designers rather than entice students or newbies to enter their contest.  Maybe they can be asked to show their work, in order to be considered for the team.... but a contest?  It really is a slap in the face every time I see a cont

Cavemen have probably been doing this forever, but I finally figured it out.I use a d800 and HDMI out to Ninja ( 1080p 24fps, DNxHD). Normally I sync sound with slate and little recording gadget ( TASCAM).On one shoot I had a little shotgun rode on hot shoe of camera plugged into mic of camera, as a sort of 'backup'.The man helping me on job (turning TASCAM on and off for takes) did something weird at one point and a few sound takes were no good after that.Luckily I had the stupid little rode on top of camera and talent was close, so I used THAT sound. BUT discovered it was out of sync 3 frames. I had the slate to use and figure that out.The sound gets recorded faster than video stream data can be compressed, so it's out 3 frames....sound coming first.In editor, unlinking sound, and moving sound forward with mouse really was hard, cause it's not accurate and it's a hit and miss sorta operation.I just realized a few minutes ago (cause I'm gonna go out with camera soon and shoot with tha

Hello there! I'm relatively new to this community, but have been using Creative Cloud products for a while now. Thought I'd join in to help others, share my experiences and hopefully be able to gain some networking and make new friends in return.I'm a UK based creative, working on a variety of digital and print marketing campaigns from design to fruition. I also work on the radio in the UK, both on-air and behind the scenes in production/admin. Hello all...Our production process is quite transparent.  We do an entrance call prior to starting production to flesh out ideas with clients.  We follow with a storyboard to make sure they are clear on what we are going to do.  The client signs off on this.  We produce the video and stay true to what we said we would do and do it with high quality.  Despite this, we have a handful of clients who view the finished product, have a different idea, and request revisions that means re-making the entire video.  We have started charging a flat rate for our videos which includes 1 minor revision.  Anything over that we charge our hourly editing fee.  What is everyone else doing?  Open to suggestions.Thanks!Shelley
