Yesterday was the Gay Pride March in NYC and the number of signs and banners in support of the victims of the Pulse massacre was staggering.The other day we went to a NY Liberty basketball game where all the WNBA players were wearing shirts in support of Central Florida.The massacre of 49 young people who were simply out dancing is hardly a thing to take sides over. But as soon as you add comments about terrorism, gun control, gun rights, etc. you've suddenly got a debate that has caused schisms in the US.So how do you feel about a company flexing its corporate muscles to make statements about what seems benign but could be considered part of a left- or right-wing agenda.Let's not use this topic as an excuse to take sides and blast each other. But let's look at the bigger picture. How do you feel about using Adobe products if Adobe has come out on positions that cleave people into two or more sections.

Hi guys. Finally upgrading to Sierra (and this time, it'll work with my GPU, darn it!). I have an old version of FontAgent Pro that wasn't supposed to work with my Yosemite, but did okay - but I know I'm going  to have to either buy their newest version or finally, switch out. So many of these apps seem to nickel and dime us - making us pay for auto activation when new Adobe versions come out, or making us have to log in online each time we want to use the app...So - what're you guys using on Sierra? Anything? Why do you like it? I do need something, I have a ton of fonts...Thanks beforehand for your suggestions.

Is Adobe still supporting Adobe user Groups?I have been running the Hawaii Flash User Group since 2005, which is now the Hawaii Animate User group. I will be changing focus to Adobe AIR​.Before I spend money I can't afford to spend (I am a student) is there still Adobe support for User Groups? Support such as Meetup funds, Adoibe Connect account, swag, etc.

I'm and ACI who has been asked to affiliated myself with a training centre. However, since doing so in September 2016 they have only offered me 5 training days. Should there be, or is there a minimum amount of training you should do in order to be associated or affiliated with an Adobe authorised training centre? We dearly miss Chris Cox and all those responses he made along the lines of  'Update your Video Card Driver from the Card maker's Site'.  If we all had a dollar for each time he said it...   Well, we'd have a shipload of dollars.  Of course the regular posters to this forums don't need telling that, or least ways they shouldn't need telling.  In my case it was my not often used laptop where I fell foul of good computer housekeeping after failing to install ShetchUp.  The auto response to the error message told me that this error was most commonly associated with out of date video card drivers, which I knew couldn't apply to me because I have everything set to automatic update.  But I did a manual check anyway, and both the HD4000 and GTX680M had updates available, and SketchUp fired straight up right after installing them.  So I didn't feel so clever after that.  Especially with the WannaCry ransomware problem last week.Incidentally, Sk

Is anything Off Topic in the Lounge?  Probably not.  I can't think of a good place to ask this other than maybe one of the DVInfo forums.  All Things Audio perhaps?I use a pair of Mackie Tapco S5 monitors for my computer sound and video editing.  They are a bit OTT, but they do a damn fine job. I might need to use these in a PA set up for my Camera Club later this year, and I have it in mind to mount them on heavy duty light stands.  I'll make a couple of brackets like below (I belong to a Menz Shed with metal working equipment), but my question is can I safely screw these brackets into the base of the speakers?(Drawing done with SketchUp)I'm guessing that the speakers will be made of MDF, and you can get screws specifically for MDF (and they are lovely shiney things that Gollum himself would treasure).  I can't think of any reason this would affect the sound, but I am definitely a bit nervous.  If speaker base is not thick enough for the screws to ge

Hello All, what program I can easiest way to prepare websites? I will be grateful for your help. It's about a PC not a Mac.

I currently have a tutor who has taught me photoshop in bi-weekly lessons for a couple months.  He mainly answers my questions and lends support when I get stuck completing projects for my Ux Design portfolio that's a work in progress.  We use WebEx or Skype screen sharing so he can do something in his screen in his CC app that I observe, and I can repeat the workflow with him watching in case I get stuck or want to know more about the process. I think I'm about to exceed his skills in Ps, and he's not very knowledgeable beyond the basics in Ai and Id.  He knows nothing about Muse, which sucks, because that's what I'm trying to use for web design.Anyone interested in tutoring 2 hours a week, whenever you're available using a screen-share app?  Anyone know someone who is?  I need someone who has an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.
