From Microsoft Word 2010 on Windows 7, if I "Create PDF" the italics for a font I'm using are all replaced by oblique/slanted roman. The font is licensed, and seems to work in other contexts. If I open the same Word file on the same computer in OpenOffice and Create PDF there, the italics embed in the document as expected and look fine (but other elements of the document get mangled, so I can't avoid the issue that way). Is there some obvious problem that would cause this behavior, or a way to make Word's Create PDF recognize the italic that the computer clearly has? The folks in the Acrobat forum thought someone here might have some insight.I'm using a specialty in-house font, but another one that replicates the problem on my computer is the Computer Modern Unicode (.ttf or .otf version) available at SourceForge. Thanks for any guidance anyone can provide: I'm clueless about fonts.
All,I installed the new CC 2014 InDesign Server on the windows system we have here in the office. I am trying to apply a new font, but I need to know where the default font folder is for CC 2014. We have a new TP Hero font and I am unsure where to install it at. I do not believe I place this font in the c:\windows\font folder. Can someone advise where this new font should be placed so CC 2014 InDesign Server can read it?
I've found this font but after running it in different font recognition platform.... nothing. Can you help?
I bought licenses to a few of the Helvetica Neue Std family fonts back in 2012. I'm looking to add a few but they are not available other than as a complete Font Folio package. Any other way to buy individual licenses? Adobe seems to have removed access to the "classic" Type Library"... any suggestions?PS: I am a CC user but TypeKit does not carry Helveticas.
I not see my typekits font sync in my Creative Cloud module. I only see the banner ad.I go to the typekit site then add or delete fonts but any of this work. In past version of my Creative Cloud I can see the fonts sync in the module, now I can't.
I have a complete CC Membership plan, but i can not access the full typekit library?

We have Windows application which convert Docx file to XPS using word automation service. During load testing we found that size of Docx size jump from 200 kb to around 3 MB after conversion to XPS. During troubleshooting we found XPS create images of all letters and words in document instead of embed the Myriad Pro font due to which document size increase multiple times. I believe this is related to Font license as XPS create images only when it unable to validate license. I want to know is there any special steps we need to follow to install license font?
Can anyone help identify this typeface? I've run a scan through WhatFontIs and the closest seem to be American Typewriter and Monotype Ionic. But neither of those is an actual match. American Typewriter lacks any brackets, which are clearly present and Monotype Ionic is clearly thinner and has more stroke contrast. Probably a long shot, but thanks if anyone has an idea!
Hi,Ebony web font (just bought typekit) is broken when trying to type Swedish type å. Can you please fix that, or do you have a workaround?Best RegardsCarl Zide
I purchased the Adobe Avenir and was able to download it but when my Hard drive failed, I couldnt download it again afterwards. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can re-download it as it isn't giving me the option to?
I have quite a few Type 1 fonts that I purchased from Adobe back when dinosaurs roamed the earth and Adobe Type Manager was all the rage. I need to be able to use them in Win 7 and later versions, so I need the PFM files, which are not on the 3.5" floppy disks that I have.I saw someone asked this question last year and an Adobe employee asked the person to email him but I don't know if that employee is still monitoring the forums or responsible for that sort of thing still so I'm asking here now in hopes of getting some help so I can get the necessary PFM files for the fonts that I have. Thanks, liz
I solved this problem. When I do graphic design website, which will be used webfonts (Typekit). How can I work in Photoshop with web fonts? At the moment I can in Photoshop, Muse, Edge ... use only non-Web fonts. This is inconvenient when doing website design. I was expecting the updates CC 2015 that this problem will be resolved. Are you planning to?

Adobe garamond pro (otf) (and perhaps other opentype fonts) renders differently using MS Word 2010 (PC) vs MS Word 2011 (for Mac). Everything is set the same-- kerning, font size, margins, etc. And the font version is the same. But invariably the characters are placed more tightly together within Word 2010 and spaced a bit farther apart using Word 2011. It's not some optical illusion: Word 2010 fits more characters per line (not many more, but there's a difference). The Word 2010 version looks better. Also, for whatever reason the difference is accentuated when converting the Word 2011 document to a pdf. The document converts perfectly from Word 2010. So, my question is:What accounts for the difference and is there a way to fix it with Word 2011? Why would the same font render differently if otf is a universal platform? Thanks.
in meiner Schriftenauflistung in PS CC sind viel zu viele Schriften; die Auswahl ist zu unübersichtlich. Kann ich für die Arbeit mit PS die Anzahl der Schriften reduzieren?

Ex: purchasing an image then having that image printed onto a T-shirt for re-sell.I know the answer may be obvious to some, but I honestly have no clue.Any help is highly appreciated! Thanks,
