Can anyone please confirm whether CS4 can work with Edge Web Fonts? I have followed the DreamWeaver official tutorial, plus two others I found on YouTube, to the letter, but my text still seems to be in Comic Sans, which is not the font I copied. if I just knew it couldn't be done in CS4 I could stop now, as I have already spent 4.5 hours trying to change the font of one word!ThanksJoanne
How do I use a font that is not available for editing in my adobe program?
Am outputting from InDesign CS4 to Acrobat X for in-house and also commercial service bureau printing.Several of my products use the Type1 version of Adobe Cason. Several months ago, when I created a PDF for a service bureau, InDesign substitued OpenType versions of the same font (Adobe Caslon Pro instead of the PostScript Aodbe Cason) in one of eight paragraphs in the document. The PDF rendered correctly onscreen and printed correctly on our inhouse laser printers. But in the paragraph with the OpenType version of the font, quite a few number characters dropped out or printed out blank from our Service Bureau's computer and printer. No one there noticed this was happening until several thousand pieces had been run off. When this was brought to my attention, I checked the InDesign file and replaced all instances of Adobe Caslon Pro with Adobe Caslon (the PostScript version). I made another press quality PDF and it printed corrrectly at the service bureau.Later, tried to manual
I am a complete beginner, trying to teach myself DreamWeaver by using the getting started turorials. In tutorial 3, item number 4, I am supposed to copy the css font code from the edge web site and paste it into the sample css sheet I created in tutorial 2. The copying bit is easy but I don't have a clue where to paste it and the tutorial doesn't have any image to show me where it should go. Can someone please help?
HiI received part of the Garamond Premier Pro font family as a gift from Adobe for registering one of my versions of InDesign or Creative Suite. (It's been a while; I can't remember which it was.) I see now that the font has been updated several times and probably fixes a kerning error I'm seeing. Does anyone know if it's possible for me to get a free update to the current version and, if so, how to do it?Thanks.m.
I am looking for a pixilated font like http://www.fontshop.com/fonts/singles/club21/preset_f_ot/ Anyone have an idea? Thanks
Hi,Could anyone advise me on licensing for print with Adobe fonts? Our company advertise in major newspapers using their layouts. Do we have the right to publish fonts included in Adobe in print or is this license at an additional cost? Also, there are certain specific fonts we may need to purchase, for example various styles of Helvetica, Univers and Zapf Dingbats. If we do not own license for these, can we edit documents which include these fonts before they are published, such as InDesign? To be clear, the newspapers who do have the correct license will be publishing them in print.I can't seem to find these fonts in the UK store, does anyone know roughly the cost in GBP?Thanks alot for your help.
Hi, I'm in the process of installing CS6 Production Premium. Disks 1 and 2 installed fine but I'm confused by the disk labelled "Content and Installation Help". It has a folder labelled "Fonts" but it does not contain a "Set-up" application, unlike the other three folders on the disk, i.e. "Adobe CS6 Speech Analysis Models", "Adobe Encore CS6 Functional Content", and "Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 Functional Content".I can't get the top-level autorun program to work and the Installation Instructions are too generic to help, so am I supposed to do something with the Fonts folder like install it (how?) or copy it (where?), or is it accessed by one or more "Set-up" programs on the disk?If it matters, I have already run the two Set-up programs in the Encore and Premium Pro Functional Content folders, but none of the Set-up programs in the Speech Analysis Models folder. I have no idea if I need any of the latter or what to do with them, especially since they're for languages other than English.Tha
I work as the IT guy for a local newspaper. I have a folder called Fonts on the server left by a previous IT person that looks like a compilation from various sources. I have been able to find no documentation on the origination of that folder. One of the fonts included is Adobe's Utopia which we use for one of our publications. We are switching to a new software platform and so I need to find out if I've got a legal right to install the font into the new platform or if I've got to make a license purchase.Unfortunately I haven't been able to determine any information about other than the information on the screen shot above. The creation date on the Utopia file itself is 6/9/99. The most baffling thing is the version, 1.002 which doesn't seem to match anything I can find on the Adobe website. If anyone can help me match the font to its original product(s) it would be a great help. Especially since there are dozens of adobe fonts in the sa
Does anyone know how I can purchase a student version of font folio in Australia? I have tried from the website and via phone and I am told it is not avaliable? Will it ever be avaliable?
New Mac Book Pro, Retina display. Can't innstall all my fonts. Why? what is wrong?
We have recently (last few months) been seeing glyph issues appear on text in PDFs rendered using Font Folio 11 fonts. The PDF is rendered using Open Type font (ITC Berkeley Oldstyle Std) and all fonts embedded. This is to create a logo and the logo looks fine. When it's added through a data feed to another product and that PDF is rendered (all fonts embedded and no Type1, TrueType, etc. interference), the original PDF (the logo) is displaying boxes with Xs in them for some/all characters. I've seen this before when there's conflicting font types on the same product or server, but that is not the case here - server only has these fonts, template only has these fonts (PDF properties confirms only 2 fonts) - it seems to be something in the rendering of the new PDF when a previously made PDF is placed in. We've not had this issue before. Further, we're only having it on 4 of the fonts in FF11.Do I need to remove and reinstall the fonts on the server or was there an update to the fonts tha
I would like to purchase a few fonts from adobe. How do I go about doing so and installing them? Would I need to update/upgrade them over the years? Each time I go to the font site and click on a font, I got an error message : 'you may not have everything you need to view certain sections of adobe.com. . . ..it also mentioned my browser may be '......earlier than IE 4 which is not supported.....' I have Win7 64 bit IE 10 so I don't know what's the problem. Any suggestion, anyone?

We've had some problems with fonts not working in Windows 8. Are all OTF available via Adobe Type campatible? The files we're having problems with have the extension of .PFB. They are visble via c:Windows/Fonts but do not work in our applications.
I have a disk with Adobe Postscript Type 1 fonts ("Adobe Type Basics" that I purchased in 2001). The disk includes an install program that does not work on my current computer (Windows 7, 64). Can I get those fonts installed on my current computer, and if so, how do I do it. Step by step, please. Many thanks.
Does PMN Caecilia have true type outlines or postscript outlines? I need a version with true-type outlines, if that's at all a possibility.
I have been using the Adobe Parisian font on my PC for a few years. I've just migrated to a Mac. The chat gentleman at Adobe said that the Windows version would work on the Mac.It is entirely possible that I have missed some nuance about loading a font onto my new Mac.Thoughts and/or help?Thank you.
I have a bunch of old fonts that I've kept each time I upgraded to a new computer or OS (WIndows 95 to XP and now Windows 7). In the past, I've always been able to easily pick out which fonts I wanted to install uning Adobe Type Manager. Well, ATM doesn't work in Win 7. I can install fonts just fine BUT trying to figure out which particular file to install is the problem. I can see the files names like pvw3__.pfm, but I don't know which font that is. I can discover the font name if I double click on the .pfm file, but clicking on each one indivivually to try and find the one I want is painfully slow. Is there some utility or setting that will show uninstalled font names?
I purchased ITC Mendoza from Adobe for the same price as fonts.com fairly recently. I learned today that it does not have small caps, but the fonts.com font by the same name and for the same price does. What is going on???
I have cs5.5 design premium; but I don't see the arno pro font family installed...? am i missing something?
