hellooo (: im debating which specs i should get in a macbook - this is my first mac so im kind of at lost because its not upgradeable I chose to go with the macbook pro 16", 2TB SSD, M3 Max with 14core cpu and 30 core GPU - and my options for ram is 36GB or 96GB - and im not sure what to get, i do know that i want a laptop that will last me for years i use premiere and after effects for video editing, and photoshop and lightroom for photos.i just started Visual communication studies (UX UI, we also study graphic design and use illustartor, indesign, figma and more) thank you in advance to anyone who helps! ♥

Hello folks, I've been stretching my old build for years. Would like to buy one or 2 more by upgrading the CPU. I am currently running the Intel Core i7-4930k and have noticed that finally, most of the old "hot" 2011 CPU's are now affordable. From this list on the ASUS site, could anyone tell me which one would give me the most notable difference. Mainly I use Premiere Pro and Lightroom, but also daytrade on the same PC (taxing with 4 screens spitting data at me).ASUS list: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/p9x79_pro/helpdesk_cpu/I'm guessing it is the Core i7-4960X for a small bump in performance, since all the others are designed for servers. my nephew is a working professional producing and directing videos for a large website and has been developing his own youtube channel for about the last year.  He is not allowed to use his company provided laptop for the youtube channel.    Being a good uncle, I lent him my 2012 macbookpro about a year ago and he has been able to successfully edit with that but wants to purchase his own laptop....  I set him up with a proxy workflow and he's not doing complicated effects, etc.   And I think his expectations are realistic in terms of what will be possible on a low end solution.   But he has a limited budget.  He prefers to stay on the mac...  but might be open to windows if necessary to stay within his budget ($1,000 which may be unrealistic)...    We're both based in NYC and will meet over at b and h to see what they recommend, but figured I'd ask here...  He can work with external bus powered usb3 drives for the media s

I use premiere pro on a HP Workstation G3. Works like a charm. Recently I got a message from Microsoft that my version of Windows 11 (21H2) is no longer supported. Will Premiere Pro keep working with this unsupported version?I am looking for a laptop with a newer version of windows 11. Hi AllCan anyone suggest a best setup config for two-screen windows 11 Premiere Pro setup?I've an MSI Z790 Carbon with an i9-14900k CPU.The graphics card is a RTX 2080 Super. It has display ports and HDMIs.The board obviously has an HDMI out connection from the CPU.So should I stick purely to the graphics card's connections or use the on-board hdmi for one of the monitors?One monitor is a quad resolution and the other is a 1920x1080 screenThanks!

I am supporting a user with a new installation of Adobe Premiere Pro 24 on their HP EliteBook 840 G6 running Windows 10 version 10.0.19045.4780. They had been using Premiere Pro for a week or better without issue. The program worked on Friday, 08/16 but, on Monday 08/19 the program would no longer open. It would open to a splash screen asking for credentials, but the screen would disappear a matter of seconds later (before they are able to enter credentials and hit "run").  While investigating... I found that one MS update (KB5028380) installed on 08/16 and two MS updates (KB5012170 & KB5015895) installed on 08/17.  This symptom is similar to what is documented by Adobe on Known issues in Adobe Premiere Pro where they say:"We recommend that Windows users download and use NVIDIA drivers (version 531.41 or higher). I have recently upgraded my Dell I7 laptop to 64gb of ram. I do a lot of Illustrator, Photoshop,Premiere pro, and After Effects. I am in the process of updating my Nvidia RTX 4060 driver. Hi guys I wonder whether anyone can advise me of the required spec to use with Adobe Premiere Pro (APP). (Yes, I have looked on the Apple website. But I'd find it useful to hear from other people who also use this software). I currenly have a 4 year old, high spec (shown below) Dell laptop which was supplied by my company's IT dept. In the last week I've noticed that while editing subtitles, APP is hanging and going slow, especially when I don't want it to. If I press 'play' it hangs, sometimes for 30 seconds. If it's playing and I press 'stop' it can carry on playing, again for 30 seconds or so. Today my IT colleague thoroughly checked over my laptop. He thinks it is absolutely fine and working as it should.I'm used to Windows operating system and 97% of my company's other laptops have Windows installed.  Are Apple pc's/laptops always better?

Hi there,  I have issues with my laptop Lenovo:System-SKU: LENOVO_MT_20S4_BU_Think_FM_ThinkPad P14s Gen 1 Everytime i want to edit some video's the playback or the preview monitor can't play this smoothly. It's always with framedrops, it's always with lags, i can't even make a mask because it's so much troubleshooting. I already tried; cache media, i tried working with proxies, i tried working on the lowest resolution. I tried everything that already exists on the help pages. Ofcourse IT is a little bit anti Adobe. So when they choose my computer they made their decision on photo-editing and not on video-editing. They say it's a laptop who are used for architects and ingeneers. But how is it possible that when i work in premiere pro or any other video editing program it just doesn't run smoothly. I'm right? Is it true that for 4k editing the graphics card plays a much more important role than in 1080?Is it worth upgrading the RTX 3060 TI 8Gb for something superior?How are AMD graphics cards working with the current versions of Premiere and After Effects? Thanks

Hey, guys.  I actually have a 5600x 32g ram 3600 and a 6700xt 12gb vram.After premieres's last upgrade, I felt it a bit heavier to my system. What upgrade would you guys choose?  1. Upgrade CPU to 9900x and keep the 6700xt; 2. Upgrade both CPU to 5900xt and GPU to a 7900xtx; Or, still:3. Keep the CPU and upgrade GPU to the 7900xtx. I just use it for premiere, editing in 4k slog 8bit and for obs in lives. Sometimes, gaming in 4k.

My only problem here is that I have limited budget for now, but hopefully, I will be doing upgrades in upcoming time after I build my initial PC. So, i'm going to start doing edit as freelancer, mostly in 1080p30-60, but sometime I must be ready for clients that could demand me to edit video in 4k resolution, so I need your opinions about worthy of doing my PC build.
