Or, because I'm not very knowledgeable about these things, mayve even a specific recommendation or two for a graphics card. After years of warnings from Premiere Pro and limitations of my 5-year+ old PC , I finally bought a new PC from Dell.  Although I'm an experienced filmmaker (yes, film -- remember that?) with some video editing experience, I'm not going to do any extremely demanding video editing.  (Nor, by the way, am I a gamer.) Here are its specs as far as I can gather them, and I'd like to buy a card before my computer guy comes by to help me set it up and move over my programs and data.  (Unfortunately, he doesn't have much experience with graphics cards, although he's a whiz with computers, having left IBM several years ago.)Dell Inspiron Desktop 3030Intel Core i5 processor (14 gen)10-core, 16 CPU Threads, L2 20 MB Cache Memory8GB memory (I'm going to install 16GB)512GB SSD (We're going to move one of my HDs over)Intel UHD Integrated Graphics (730??)

Hello,  first a bit of context:I have a new PC (Intel 265k, 64gb ram, Z890 Tomahawk, RTX 3080) and Premiere performance is....mediocre. Just barely faster than my old rig (8th gen i7, 32gb ram...). I specifically chose Intel because of QuickSync and because it worked so well on my old PC. -all drivers and BIOS are updated (Nvidia, Intel Graphics etc.)-iGPU works, is enabled and shows activity in other programs (Chrome, VLC...when set to Intel graphics)-hardware encoding and decoding is enabled (Intel + Nvidia) My issue is, that it doesn't use the iGPU at all; so no QuickSync. Even if I disable NVENC for HW encoding/decoding it somehow still loads the GPU. It only uses the iGPU if I set the renderer to OpenCL (which is quick for playback but slower for effects). So Premiere Pro recognises the iGPU, but does not use it. I am editing a project with Sony H264 4:2:2 footage. Hello everyone, my computer runs on Windows 11 and is equipped with an RTX 4090 standalone graphics card as well as a newly purchased Intel DG1 graphics card. To address the issue of hardware encoding for H.265 422 10bit, I tried playing back H.265 422 10bit and other video materials in Premiere Pro 2024 version 24.6.1. However, I found that the Intel standalone graphics card did not work. When I set up in Windows to use only the Intel graphics card in Premiere, the software ran very inefficiently, and playing back a single H.265 422 10bit material was also very laggy. Could you please advise me on how to accurately set up my computer to run Premiere with maximum efficiency?

I would appreciate it if someone with experience with Graphic Cards for Adobe Premiere Pro and Boris FX Continuum and Sapphire Plugins can recommend a mid-range graphic card for my Dell Precision 5820 i9 with 950 power supply. Thank you.

I have a Windows 11 system with a GEForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card, 8 Gb,  and 32 GB for RAM. 11th gen i7 processor. Premier Pro runs OK on it, but not great, and I am using Topaz Video AI, which runs very slowly.  Not being a tech guy, I'm wondering if I need to upgrade my Graphics card and, is so, to what - preferably without spending  $1,000.  Appreciate any advice.

I used the Calibrite Profiler to create ICC Profiles and adjust the monitor settings for my Huion 24 Plus Kamvas and Asus Monitors, but for some reason not all the Programs i use are consistently using the ICC Profile only on the HUION. Attached are visual examples of my Asus (Left) and Huion (Right) showing the same solid color image. In some programs like Windows Preview they are the same but in others like Davinci Resolve and After Effects they don't match. Calibrite and Adobe Support said it's Huion problem. Need help ASAP!!!!! 

Is 24gb of unified memory  with 512gb ssd in macbook pro sufficient to run after effects and premier pro??

I'm researching to upgrade an edit system. Going PC is not an option, and I am focused on finding a solid mac platform for HD and 4K editing.While Apple is getting ready to release an iMac Pro and new Mac Pro later this year, no specs are available. The best stop gap measure I can come up with is to explore purchasing the currently available 27-inch iMac. Sadly, the GPU (Radeon Pro 580) offering is not listed here: Adobe Premiere Pro System RequirementsDoes anyone have personal experience with this GPU and Premiere?Or Adobe can you chime in? I've watched the Storage Optimization video from Puget Systems and their subsequent article. I have been thinking about upgrading my storage to something more optimal for editing. One of which is having an SSD dedicated to Media Cache and Scratch. The only thing I am not sure of is how big of an SSD I need for Media Cache and Scratch. Is 250GB enough? 500GB? Puget Systems did their testing with a 1TB drive, but that seems like it may be overkill?Thanks.

I was hoping someone might be able to help. I've just upgraded the GPU in my media PC from an RTX 2060 to a 4080 Super. I now seem to be getting worse performance in Premiere Pro during editing playback, especially during any transition effects. Machine specs: MB/GPU z790 Aourus Elite - i9-14900KRAM 64GBGPU RTX 4080 SuperWindows 11 Pro Thanks in advance. 

I'm about to move up from my very old SC5 to the current. It's a huge jump, so I'de appreciate any help in reviewing the specs of the hardware I'm about to buy. I'm not looking for a high-end work-station. Simply a comp that will smoothly run average (non-commercial) Premiere + AfterEffects. I have a SATA SSD and a SATA/USB adaptor.Advisable to use it via USB3.0 for scratch disk in AE/PPro - or is it perhaps better used as a drive for projects, as the projects are currently on the same NVME (faster) drive as OS/Apps.PS missing that tweakers page from way back

I just upgraded to a Mac Studio M2 Ultra, 24‑core CPU, 76‑core GPU, 192GB memory.I've allocated 168GB to Adobe apps, enabled Multi-Frame Rendering, set large disk caches for Premiere and AE, and am using Mercury GPU Acceleration. I would expect exports and preview renders to be blazing fast, and while it's definitely faster than my humble Macbook Pro... it's leaving plenty to be desired. But I noticed that while exporting, the computer remained fully responsive and I could use other apps with ease – even exporting a second video from another app simultaneously without any freezes. So I checked Activity Monitor during a Premiere export and saw that Premiere was only using 123% CPU and 25% GPU,  and aerendercore was only using 318% CPU. Overall CPU load was:System: 7.45%User: 23.64%Idle: 68.91% What gives? How can I get the Adobe suite to stop leaving so much horsepower on the table?

I'm looking to upgrade from my 2019 Intel MBP (64GB, 2TB - choking and crashing with Premiere 2024) to either a Mac Studio M2 or a new MacBook Pro M4.  I heard that with the new M4 MBP, you don't need as much RAM because of improved threading - but the question remains -- what is the minimum amount of RAM I should get to ensure good performance? Is 36 or 48 enough?  Help and wisdom appreciated.  Thanks in advance --

Hello folks, I've been stretching my old build for years. Would like to buy one or 2 more by upgrading the CPU. I am currently running the Intel Core i7-4930k and have noticed that finally, most of the old "hot" 2011 CPU's are now affordable. From this list on the ASUS site, could anyone tell me which one would give me the most notable difference. my nephew is a working professional producing and directing videos for a large website and has been developing his own youtube channel for about the last year.  He is not allowed to use his company provided laptop for the youtube channel.    Being a good uncle, I lent him my 2012 macbookpro about a year ago and he has been able to successfully edit with that but wants to purchase his own laptop....  I set him up with a proxy workflow and he's not doing complicated effects, etc.   And I think his expectations are realistic in terms of what will be possible on a low end solution.   But he has a limited budget.  He prefers to stay on the mac...  but might be open to windows if necessary to stay within his budget ($1,000 which may be unrealistic)...    We're both based in NYC and will meet over at b and h to see what they recommend, but figured I'd ask here...  He can work with external bus powered usb3 drives for the media s
