I am a retiree and a video hobbyist who is need of a new PC capable of handling 4K h.265 video. I mainly volunteer my time for non-profits to shoot interviews and events, but I periodically help out the local low-budget film community in making their movies.I am not a techie, so I need a review of the recommendations for a new computer system that I received from a local company. Hi!My Question: Which components should I upgrade to make way for the new workflow?I was fortunate enough to have a computer built by ADK a couple years back (see specs below in attached pic). It's been a solid performer for the most part editing hundreds of weddings. A few hiccups here and there but pretty solid and I think a lot of that might have been software related/bugs in Premiere. Anyway, I'll list my workflow below along with my current specs and I'd love advice on which components might need to be updated if any as I prepare to begin shooting 4k60p and editing on a 24p timeline (we pull a lot of footage for slow-mo). Drivers are updated. Hi there,I work for a local government video department and we are updating our video editing set-up.  We want 6 identical high-end system builds.  Problem is, since we are government and this project has an expected budget of over $30K, we can't just go out and buy them straight from ADK (we have one ADK machine now and like it) we have to go through an RFP process where companies propose their solution to fit the bill.Unfortunately, although we reached out to them, ADK did not respond to our first round of RFP requests, nor did any other qualifying company so we have to try again.  We are looking for companies with experience in building and supporting Adobe Premiere editing systems specifically.  We don't just want off-the shelf systems, and although we could build them ourselves we want the support from a company that specializes in Adobe systems.Can anyone recommend some companies like ADK that we can reach out to that fit this bill?Many thanks.

I run a aerial photography business and do alot of 4k 60 fps editing and rendering out effects in Premiere Pro and After Effects. I edit currently on my laptop but will be switching over to a new system. Apologies for this question.  I should have been able to find the answer but haven't succeeded.  In playing back from Premiere 6.0.5 I'm not seeing an image on my TV production monitor, which is fed by a Matrox MXO2 Mini Max.  Often (but not always) I also get no sound (in these cases, I don't see modulations on the audio meters in the Premiere interface).  I'm sure the relevant settings exist somewhere but I can't find them.  I do see the Matrox device under "Playback settings," but even though it is selected, there is no image on the TV monitor.  The Matrox device works perfectly with Avid Media Composer 6.5.4 and also with After Effects.  What am I overlooking?I'd appreciate help since I've struggled with this problem off and on for several years.  Sometimes it's OK, sometimes not.  And the unreliability of the audio is especially frustrating.  I've tried to read whatever I can find on the web.Many thanks.ALFRED GUZZETTIMac OS 10.8.5

I am considering a switch from Mac to PC and researching graphics cards.  Here are the different combos I'm considering and I'm curious to know what the best performing card/cards would be.  I am a full time editor cutting half hour and hour format documentaries and reality tv.  I use a fair amount of transition effects and 4k video.Geforce 1080 Ti x 2ORGeforce 1080 TI PLUS Tesla K40ORQuadro GP 5000Any insight or recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Minimum system requirements only say Multicore Processor with 64-bit support, but not sure if CoreM qualifies as Multicore. Searching the forum threads, someone with a Lenovo Yoga 3 and CoreM said the install failed as it did not meet minimum requirements, but perhaps that was an older processor.

Hello Adobe CC Community,For the past few months my video team and I have been experiencing rather odd behavior from both Premiere Pro and After Effects. There is a huge lag between the time when we make a change to a clip on our timeline and the change actually taking effect. We figured at first that this might have been due to server connectivity and copied all of the clips locally to try to eliminate any bottleneck there. While performance seemed to improve very little, there is still a long 5 or so second waiting period for changes to take place. This makes it difficult to achieve good frame accuracy and slows down our work flow immensely. To add on to the slowdown, render times have increased dramatically. For anything other than a simple 30 second video without any graphics, rendering can take multiple hours to complete and generally experience errors along the way. If anyone could help on this I would be extremely grateful. We have a RAID 6 running on a 1880x STORPORT. After a power failure to the external RAID box during slacktime (the computer was on, but nothing was running on it, so no data being written), the BIOS startup screen stated that RAID 6 was not in NORMAL state. After bootup, ARECA Raid controller showed that RAID set has FAILED.So I ran RESCUE and restarted. Then SIGNAT. Then LeVeL2ReScUE. The RAID came up as NORMAL in the ARECA web interface but inaccessible by Windows.Then I performed a Volume Consistency Check with both tick boxes checked (Scrub bad block and Re-compute Parity). The process took just over 12  hours and now the machine boots up showing the RAID being there at BIOS stage, with the correct volume size. However, clicking on the drive in Windows results in Windows saying 'Drive is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupt.' Looking at it in Drive Manager shows it as an empty partition, the only option be

I ran the PPBM a few times on my current machine. I can't tell from the results, but I would have thought my disk time would have been higher? Also, my time seems to be slghtly better than the 2600K listed on the website. Here's the results:

So, I've been getting the parts together for my new rig. I was basically planning to get Asus x99 Deluxe II with an i7-6850K. But I have been waiting to see if the price drops due to Ryzen, or even if I should go that direction. I'm don't think I'm an AMD type, but then again, maybe I could... Here's the parts I've purchased so far, which I think will work for either. Though the memory is on the QVL for the ASUS motherboard and I have no idea which motherboard to get if I went Ryzen. I recently installed the latest CC 2017. Since the upload, I have found that the applications take a good 60 seconds to load. It has really slowed down my workflow and left me unsure about how to fix this. I also run suitcase 3 for my fonts which is now not working. I got my 6850K overclock stable will realbench, Prime95 etc on 4.4 GHz. I am only doing video editing and motion design in After Effects. All pretty heavy CPU processes. I never had a problem editing my projects so far until I rendered a major project with Premiere Pro CC 2017. After 30% rendering of my project my CPU drops down to 1-2% CPU usage but keeps the rendering running which ofc will then take ages.I am now wondering if that's a sign of instability or software related since Adobe CC is very buggy.I seemed to have fixed it when putting AVX offet to 1. Watching the cpu usage while rendering I can see that i occassionally drops down to 4,3 Ghz. Would raising the core voltage be the only why to get it stable if that failure would be overclocking related? Any advises? Thank you!
