Acrobat Reader

Hi, I have a habit of selecting text while reading a doc. When I read a PDF from Adobe reader, I noticed slow performance (pause / halt / circling orb), and also a CPU spike, It was the quick action menu that caused the issue. I don't understand why it takes too long to show up and it always use 100% of one CPU core before displaying the quick action menu. I disabled it from preference. Version is 2023.001.20093. I have AMD Ryzen 7 1700 with 16GB RAM.

Hi,We got the issue, that the checkout prompt is not showing up if a user wants to open a .pdf file directly from a SharePoint library.If the user opens his local Acrobat Reader and tries "File" -> "Open" ->  "direct URL", the checkout prompt works fine. Trying to check out the file via "Open with Explorer" feature from SharePoint works too. Only the web interface is not working.What we tried to solve this issue: Checkout and Open PDF files from SharePoint Document Libraries 1. Hello everyone,  we have PDF documents that received the following headers and footers when created by the browser:  1. Top left: Firefox 2. Top right: Internet address 3. Bottom left page number 4. Bottom right: date with time Unfortunately, this content has not been set as a header and footer, so one cannot simply remove the content by removing the header and footer. The content is on the outer edge.  Now our question:  How can we find and remove this content? Is it possible to search and remove the content based on the position in the document? Is it possible to create a macro using the action wizard so that this content can be automatically removed from hundreds of PDF files?  Many thanks for your help!

Hello community. I am trying to print with the code below my PDF form using "Microsoft Print to PDF" and after printing (saving as a flattened image file) it should set the printer to default (any printer) but not works. I am curious why this file looks so much better on a PC than on a Mac. I have played with the settings and nothing seems to improve it. Ordinary doocuments look the same on either platform, but when it comes to 3D content the Mac version is sadly lacking.

I am legally blind and I need a black bacground with white letters to be able to read my documents. Is there a setting in acrobat reader to do that?

I'm scripting the creation of some Windows images, and would like to install Reader as part of that process. I anticipate updating the images from time-to-time, and would always like to use the then-current version of Reader. My question is: Is there a static URL from which I can always download the latest Reader installer? I know that I can go to the https://get.adobe.com/reader page, fill out the form, and get a URL for a specific version. I'm also aware of the ftp://ftp.adobe.com site, but it looks like I also need to choose a specific version by name. So, what I've found so far are things like this:     ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/AcrobatDC/2001320064/AcroRdrDC2001320064_en_US.exe  What I'm hoping to find is something like this:     ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/LATEST Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Community, I currently have the problem that I cannot open documents that I receive from a supplier with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Error 14 and "Dict object is expected" then appear. But I can open the document in Edge or Firefox. If I then print the document as a PDF, I can open it again with Adobe Acrobat Reader. Can someone help me why this happens and what I can do so that I don't have to open the documents in a browser first.Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is up to date. Version 2023.003.20201 64Bit

I am working with Adobe Acrobat Reader, Version 2023.001.20177, under MacOS Ventura 13.3.1 (a), using many spaces in parallel. As I want to open PDFs in the current space I am working in right now, I always create new Reader processes, using the “-n” flag of the “open” utility on the command line. This makes sure that the document isn't opened on some random tab in another space. The Reader gets frequently confused by this and presents me with these blue pop-ups which even cannot always be easily clicked away when they are distorted (see screenshot). If not distorted, the pop-up notice is titled “Reopen closed PDFs” and reads as follows: ”Acrobat Reader closed abruptly. You can restore the PDFs you had open.” and offers then the choices ”No, thanks” and “Restore”. It would be really helpful for my workflow if this could be disabled. I've tried to adjust the preferences (like ticking off ”Show me messages when I launch Adobe Acrobat Reader” etc) but to no avail. Thanks in advance for an

Hello, I'm sorry if this one was disccused already, but cannot find any previous post nor solution to this.I have one quite large PDF file (280MB, 11000 pages), just drawings and schematics and one medium file (180MB, 4500 pages).If there is a certain word I would like to search for, smaller file performs search in a second, no issues. But large file starts searching and counting pages and it takes forever. Is there any solution to this as I can remember it wasn't like this before. Thank you

Why can you no longer email a .pdf in 1 simple click? It now takes 3 STEPS! In the past you could click on the email icon and it immediately attached it to an email. Why would you ever change this causing people hours of lost time ands angst????

Never seen this happen before... when I open any PDF (Adobe Reader DC), its defaulting to my label printer.  If I change the printer to the one I want to print to (or any other printer), it very quickly cycles through each of the printers in the list and returns to the label printer, repeatedly.  I have forcibly reset the default, added in a temp local printer, and restarted multiple times.  Each time, the printer choice cycles through all printers and settles back on the label printer.Any suggestions?

Can anyone tell me why Chrome works and Adobe doesnt? Same file no changes? This makes no sense.

Hello . . . Sometimes I have to work on PDF files.With the text in some files I have no problems: I can select it and modify it to my liking.In other files instead the modification is impossible: the selection extends for most of the page, sometimes in the shape of a cut egg, sometimes in the shape of a rectangle. Acrobat, once, when opening an image, it automatically started the conversion and after the conversion, the text that was previously part of an image, became immediately and totally editable. Now no longer. Why ?If I manually start the text recognition from "Scan and OCR", nothing changes! I found a solution: I export as an image, and - in the many ways offered by Acrobat - I open the image, or import it, or create it from a file, but the result is not flawless, it is not presentable, it looks like an acquisition from low resolution scanners, especially if compared to a successful acquisition. What's the explanation? Bonjour, J'utilise Adobe Acrobat Pro et de temps en temps je ne parviens pas à sauvegarder le fichier que j'ai commenté car le message d'erreur suivant apparait : Impossible d'enregistrer le document. Paramètre erroné.Ensuite le document devient tout blanc, impossible de l'enregistrer ailleurs. Tous les commentaires se trouvent perdus. Je suis sur le système Monterey et la plupart de mes fichiers sont stockés sur Icloud, faute de place. Il est possible que le document soit envoyé sur le cloud alors que je suis en train de travailler avec lui. Est ce que quelqu'un aurait rencontré le même problème ? 

I'm trying to Adobe Reader on MacOS 12.6.6 (21G646) After opening a file, it freezes and the only way to stop it is by either using Force Quit or, if started from the command line, use ctrl-c I have tried different PDF files and always have the same problem.
