Acrobat Reader

Hi everyone, this is really frustrating. If I'm on a plane and opening a PDF, I cannot view it because the sign into Adobe pop up blocks the screen. I have disabled Acrobat reader at start up but that only stopped it temporarily. The pop up now re appears. It's soooo annoying. any ideas?

I can't save a pdf document I have just digitally signed as "a number is out of range". How can I save it? 

I am a security contractor who receives invitation to bid on jobs. These bid invitations always include a drawing "Bid Set" which I have been opening in Acrobat Reader and scrolling through the 80 (or so) drawings that are included in the single PDF file. I have just received a file that is 78 Mb in size that I can open, using Acrobat Reader, but after about 2 to 3 minutes, or scrolling aboout half way down the drawings, acrobat Reader stops responding and I can no longer scroll down to se the drawings. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for the help.

When you click on an PDF attachment in an email it takes long, nothing happens and then only a pop-up appears that asks to deactivate the protected view.Same PDF on another PC with the the version 2020.013.20074 opens immediately.Update to version Acrobat Reader DC 2021.001.20150 does not help.We are using McAfee ENS version 10.6.1

I work for an IT support company that is experiencing this issue. I have found the same issue in a few different posts.  Example 1 Example 2  Users will download documents from a website, and the pdfs work almost all the time but then (seemingly) suddenly, don't. I thought I had found the cause of the issue, as one of the vendors they have to download pdfs from, their site only works in Internet Explorer. When they opened the file in Internet Explorer, it opened an instance of Reader inside of IE, and every file after would come back garbled. To correct this behavior I went in and disabled the Adobe add-on for IE. Located under the "Start without permission" section. This seemed to have fixed the issue for almost a week, but then my primary user with this issue let me know that they were experiencing the issue again. They can get the document (the exact same file that was downloaded previously) to open correctly after a reboot, but once the problem starts any docume

Hi there.   I would hopeyou can help me fix this as I am running the latest version of reader I just installed and reinstalled a few times but the issue seems persistant. When I try to load through an extension or direct through reader when the form loads it seems to decide to label a "filled in checkbox sample" as a large R.  I have verified that the same PDF will load fine on my wife's work computer however I can't seem to figure out of this is a setting or if I need a specific version or something to get this to work. The reason this is important is that they could reject my application based on this anomaly even if it's not my fault so I am doing my best to fix this. Can you help please see my attached screenshot off the issue and what it should look like.If you have any other suggestions please let me know as I have to fill out and validate a variety of these forms over the next few weeks. Thanks

Hi,I have recently updated the adobe reader application on my laptop. And since the update it has become horribly slow. Kindly help fixing it. I'm facing lot of lag while reading any document. I have already tried reinstalling it but that doesnt help

Adobe is not as smooth as the browser when scrolling documents. It goes step by step and this is very tiring and annoying. İt is not a update problem. Please dont say me check for updates. It is a fundamental problem of acrobat reader. İf you open a PDF via Chrome you can see how it is smooth scrolling. We want to this feature to be more productive.  Same issue have been posted before but customer service did not understandt properly. I hope you guys understand me very well. Pleace check any browsers PDF performans and than write me.  Sorry for rude writing it is because previous reply was answered without understanding.

AcroPDF control in 32-bit applications works properly. In 64-bit applications when loading a file, two AcroRd32.exe processes are started, which are blocked for a long time and the control is not initialized.Are special settings required when using the control in a 64-bit application?

I'm using Acrobat Reader DC 18.011.20038 and  can't find a way of changing or deleting the 'author name'  in pdf documents. I've tried every suggestion here but still can't find a solution. I even changed my Windows-10 login name but pdf documents still show the old author name that I want to get rid of. Changing the name in comments doesn't change the author name in the pdf, I've tried that. Is there a registry setting where I can change the author name? BTW, why does Adobe make it impossible to easily change/delete the author name?

Hello, I have PDF files that I want to convert to Excel. The PDF files are copies of bank statements which I don't know how it was created but I can select the text in that PDF etc'. My problem is that I am not getting the numbers formatted as numbers after converting a PDF file to an excel file. I get the numbers but Excel doesn't recognize the numbers as numbers. How can I fix this? Thank you.

I need help to recover a lost file if it is possible.  I am not very tech savvy so apolgies in advance if I say anything stupid!  I have been completing a worksheet in the form of an editable pdf.  I have opened it, worked on it, saved it, closed it and reopened it many times without issue.  Today when I opened the file, instead of opening in adobe direct as usual, it opened using Microsoft edge.  I must have accidently changed the settings when viewing other pdfs online.  Anyway, the version that opened did not have all my latest updates in it.  I closed this file and opened Adobe Reader direct and it gave me the option to changes settings so adobe again became the default app for opening PDFS and also the gave me the option to recover files.  I did both and with great relief my updated file was there.  Thinking I better save it quickly before I lose it again I pressed the disk icon.  A pop up appeared asking if I wanted to overwr

Dear Sir/Madam  please be so kind to provide me with your best knowledge about the following issue.The files that are included in the attached file , are located to an external HDD. While I am trying to open or copy these files an error message appear. I have tried all the solutions that are described in the internet regarding security issues. No change. Is it possible that the files are corrupted?Due to the fact that there are 2 GB of such files but also .doc , .xls file and have the same behaviour,  your help is very critical.    

copy content does not work in Reader DC

Hi all. I know i can create an editable pdf. My question is: can i create a pdf that after its complilation and its storetion (/save or better /save with name), its cant be overwrites and/or modified? If yes, how can i get it? I need it to do a students' tests (for example). Thank's all

how do I undo the adobe default for all documents 

Somehow I got Acrobat Reader DC for MAC on my Programs and it wants to Download and I need to delete it because I use WINDOWS 10.

When I email a PDF portfolio link to my own email as a test before I send it to a potential client, and it shows up in my email, and I click on the link, instead of the PDF portfolio opening a prompt comes up telling me to "Get Abobe Reader." But I already have Adobe Reader installed on my computer, and I don't see a way to get past this prompt.However, when I click on the link in my iPhone email, the PDF portfolio opens up on the iPhone.How can I get past the annoying prompt on my desktop computer that is blocking my way to seeing the PDF portfolio?

hello.I have a few coworkers who are using digital sigantures on pdf files, one of my colleagues is signing the documents with an annotation (picture with a signature or something like this). When the pdf documents are saved and send to other departments, the annotation signature is visible only in preview mode (Outlook) or if the pdf file is opened in Chrome or Edge, not when it is open with Acrobat Reader DC. Also to keep the annotation signature visible on the documents, we need to use "microsoft print to pdf" option, which is making a flatten pdf file, but this is working only from Chrome or Edge.Is there a solution to see that signature directly in Acrobat Reader DC?Thank you.

I have a user who is experiencing an issue with Adobe Reader DC 32-bit version 21 in which we open the PDF which all works fine, but as soon as we click into Fill & Sign the application closes with no error report This works fine with a version 18 of Adobe Reader DC but nothing newer. I've seen previous suggestions stating to turn off suggestions which hasn't helped, I've uninstalled the appication, removed everything from App Data and Regedit, restarted the machine and re-installed with no luck Anyone got any ideas or someone from Adobe can take the dump files and let me know how to fix this issue? 

Hi all,I'm trying to create a comment summary including all the highlighted text in my pdf. However, when I click the 'Create Comment Summary" no text appears in the summary (only a table without the actual highlighted text, which is really what I want!)What option or menu should I modify to have the actual text in the final  summary? Thanks in advance. I attach image
