Acrobat SDK

I have a form that could almost be completed on mobile as well as on the computer with the Adobe Acrobat app. Ideally, I would have liked to have a submit button with a code that picks up the email address from a pre-filled field which can vary. This works very well on the computer but not on mobile.However, the submit action works well on mobile if I just insert the URL “mailto:”, that is, without any address specified… So my work around would be to have a pop up that reminds the form filler to take note of the return address, and once they’ve hit “ok”, the message application is launched with the form attached to an email as usual. All the user would need to do is write the address he/she took note of.So I created a button that runs the pop up first, followed by the submit action. It works fine on the computer, but with mobile, the action breaks after I hit “ok” on the pop up. The submit action won’t follow. Both work well if isolated. Is there a way to solve this? I'm using an IPad

I want to learn JavaScript with Acrobat. I've been limited to the Acrobat menu tools for 3 years now and would like to expand my abilities with JavaScript. I am willing to travel to learn, but nobody is teach it that I've found. I can't figure out something as simple as inserting a time stamp into a PDF. I believe JavaScript can do it.

I installed build 2015.010.20056, but was then unable to fill out and sign forms, which I used to be able to do.

I set breakpoint in my function and it not reachable (i mean Adobe for some reason omit my function and calls self implemented func)

Looking for some assistance with a PDF. I have two images that I need to display based on a value in another field. If the value of field A is X then show image 1 is field is Y then show image 2. Is this possible?

I am subscribed to Adobe Export PDF and am trying to convert a pdf file to Word and when I attach the document and start the process the program tells me that I need to enter password and when I do it sends a message that an error occurred while signing in.  Has anyone experience this problem?  I have been trying all morning.

Hello,I have a sequence of scripts I'm using to create copies of a page based on number of copies requested by the user (TotalPages). Subsequent to that I am running a script to rename all of the copied fields to a unique field by recreating the field name to stop sharing data entered into the field. Both of these scripts run fine for their intended purpose. However, I would like to at the same time as renaming the field to enter the page value before moving to the next field. I am making a form in LCD ES2........ somehow i am stuck at a point.I have a form in which i need another pdf form to be embedded / attached so that when the user click certain checkbox / radio then he has to filled the embedded form..........i.e.  if he chooses the desired radio button /check box  he should be able to click the embedded form which will open it and he can fill embedded form  and it should automatically saved in the first form.......Is this possible.............Note : I don't want user to upload form...... i want me while making the form in LCD embed or attach the second form in the first form so that user can access. it...Thanks in advance.

I'm very, very new to JS: I want 2 fields in a PDF (Calc B & C) to auto-populate with calculated data based on another (Input A), or remain blank if there isn't any value.My problem:Input A = 10Calc B = ((("Input A" * 1000)^(2/3))*10.1)/10000Calc C = ((("Input A")^0.75) * 70) + 30I've tried so many combinations of calculations and it either doesn't do anything or give me any number of syntax errorsI though that the entire field entered as:((Math.pow(this.getField("Input A").value*1000, (2/3)))*10.1)/10000would work but it doesn't do anything! Hello,I am making a form in Adobe Acrobat Pro  in which i want to reset a Text Field to value 1 whenever the Date is changed.I have two Text Field  :   Text1 = Date field this field auto-populates the current date when the file is openedText2 - this field has to be reset to "1"  every time the date is changed.Like if the form is opened today  eg. 23/09/2017 ... i can enter any number in Text2 and save it................. but if the file is opened next day..... Text2 should be reset to 1 then on 24/09/2017 i can enter any number in text2  and save it..... but when again on 25/09/2017 if i open the file text 2 should be reset to "1".Thanks in advance.

So I am making a relatively simple form with multiple fields, and one of those fields is an image field. It works perfectly on my Windows setup where I'm building the report. When I send it to my iPad, everything works except for the image field. I've tried changing the type of input (Mouse Up, Mouse Down, Focus), but it doesn't seem to matter. I've also opened the PDF in the mail viewer, adobe fill and sign, and adobe reader, but still it doesn't work. The specific reaction to tapping on the field is nothing except for in adobe reader, where it at least highlights the field, but never prompts to input an image or file.I'm beginning to think that this functionality doesn't work in iPads due to the buttons using JavaScript. Can someone help me figure this out?

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. I have four fields [amIN0, amOUT0, pmIN0, and pmOUT0] that will auto-populate the Hours Worked field.My times are formatted to h:MM tt. I need the HoursWorked results to display 7 hours and 30 minutes as 7.50 NOT 7.30 And 8 hours and 30 minutes should display as 8.50 NOT 8.70I'm using a simplified notation (amOUT0-amIN0)+(pmOUT0-pmIN0). On page 1 I have an address box... I am creating a PDF Form in Acrobat Pro DC.  I have a list of over 40 items that I want in a drop down list that, when chosen, causes specific fields to appear or disappear.  I am already using the code shown below, but the validation section of the drop down properties states that my validation code is too long and cuts me off at just over 1100 lines.  Here are the questions that I can't find an answer to:Is there a better way to: 1. create the drop down or 2. create the validation or 3. use a better form field option so that I can have this many items but still have it work in the file?  Everything must be part of the PDF file itself with no outside data source.  Maybe I'm just dreaming.Here is what I've been using and it works great, but takes up too many lines of code once all 40 items are entered.if (event.value == "Judge") {    this.getField("Murray").display = display.hidden;        this.getField("Hunn").displ

Out of utter frustration and exhaustion, I'm posting an open ended question, hoping to get in touch with someone from adobe to further discuss this issue.I've been tasked with supporting a legacy application that uses Winforms to host an Acrobat 5 fillable form.  We have hundreds of pdf fillable forms with javascript logic, emphasis on *hundreds*, therefore we are heavily invested in Adobe.  (However, if we can not find a satisfactory solution to our issues we will be moving away from the Adobe platform).The application basically presents the user with a fillable pdf, the user can fill out the pdf and save the results.  Very straight forward. However, I'm finding it exceedingly difficult to upgrade and support our code to use the newer versions of Adobe and newer ways of saving the user choices.  We are tired of wasting hours and hours pouring through Adobe's voluminous documentation, that never really gets to the point nor provides answers to basic developers quest

Ok, I've been searching for 3 days on this answer, but everytime I change something I break my form again.I have 4 text boxes:Two with Currency variables. In the 3rd box, they need to subtract in.In the 4th box, it needs to display Over/Short/BalancedI've got the form working with just that information. My problem is that if the first two boxes are blank, the other two need to be blank. Hello,I am trying to add a script to prompt a user for 3 pieces of information.  This information will change for every user that wishes to open and print the document.  I also need to apply this to numerous (currently about 2,000) documents, and that number will increase as our engineers generate new blueprints.  I know 2,000 is a lot to process at once, but if I could batch this into groups of 100 or so that would still make things much easier than doing a single document at a time.  I am unable to download any third-party software to accomplish this so I am looking for a solution within Acrobat Pro XI.  I have created an action with the action wizard that uses document javascript, then saves the newly watermarked file to the local user computer.  I have tried performing this as a batch with multiple files, but I am require to re-enter the script with each document.Is there a way to do this and apply it to multiple files only having to copy and past the

Hello, I have created a fillable form that requires digital signatures before saving.  I'd like to use a JavaScript, through a submit button, to save the completed form to a specific drive location and include the current date in the file name.  This would help prevent users from saving over the existing form, as well as, identify the form submissions with in the drive location.  Any help with the script would be most welcome.  Thanks!!

Hello everyone,im new to using JavaScript and could really need some help. I´ve created a form in Adobe pro and what i want is the following: If field "Comment1" contains any text user is enforced to pick a choice from drop down menu "R1" and "L1". Is it best to use validation script for this? Or calculation script? I got over 100 rows that i want the same function in, they are named: Comment1, R1, L1; Comment2, R2, L2; Comment3, R3, L3; And so on.. I hope this post makes some sense,Thanks in advance, Adrian
