I have a drop down field with 65 or so choices. I have a word document with a series of heading types, which when printed or created using either the word export or the acrobat create tool blurs the bulleted Number, both in the contents page and on the related page in the pdf.Any idea?

Sorry, I am a beginner but cannot find the exact answer in the previous questions.I have an adobe form with a text field (formatted to time HH:MM) in which the user enters a time in the format HH:MM. There is another text field, this one returns a numerical calculated value (which varies dependent on other inputs). I need the form to be able to add the value of the second field to the inputted time and return the answer in a third text field as a time in HH:MM. Please help

Hi,I am using the action wizard to try to make sure the header/footer created in the java script is applied after the content of chosen PDF files is shrunk to avoid overwriting of content.  To do this, I brought over the "Header & Footer (Add)" prior to the Java Script Code.Within the "Header & Footer (Add)" Option, I selected "Appearance Options" and checked the "Shrink document to avoid overwriting***" and made sure "Page Range Options" is set to "All Pages."However, the action wizard only shrinks the first page.  The subsequent pages in the pdf file get overwritten with the header/footer created in the Java Script code. What am I doing wrong?  I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro X on Windows 7 machine.

I am trying to create a request form for specific users (only 3) but will require the reference/invoice number to be created every time the receiver press the submit button on the form. The number should also increase every time. In fact, can I even customer the number to each individual? Eg Person A will start from 0000, Person B start from 4000, Person C starts from 7000?Please help!!

Hello, I designed a editable form pdf for a client who will be using Acrobat Reader on a Windows computer. I have the buttons: CLEAR, PRINT, EMAIL, SAVE in the document.I am not familiar with scripting.I am trying to develop a javascript that works within the SAVE button that on button up action will bring up a save as window with a preset folder location of the user's desktop with name field auto populating with a set value followed by a name field along with a date field from the document.Is this possible?Here's an example:Form name: InvoiceName field in form: "BOB"Date field in form: "02-15-15"Save to (window will go directly to the folder):Users desktop folder named "Invoice"with name "InvoiceBOB-02-15-15.pdf"at this point all the user has to do is click save in that window.Thank you community, I hope was clear enough in explaining my situation.I appreciate the help.By the way, I'm designing on a MAC, users of the form will be on PC if that matters.

Hi,I want to know if there is a way to disable the ability to edit or export an adobe action (all in java script).  In other words, I do not want users to have access to the code or be able to export it for use between users.  I noticed the preinstalled Action Wizard actions such as "Archive Paper Documents" do not allow any editing (or access to the code).Thanks.Sue

I have one drop down named Quantity and three text fields named Qty1, Qty2 and Qty3. At the moment I'm using three checkboxes to run these scripts:checkbox1this.getField("Qty1").value = this.getField("Quantity").value;checkbox2this.getField("Qty2").value = this.getField("Quantity").value;checkbox2this.getField("Qty3").value = this.getField("Quantity").value;The scripts work fine but what I'd like to do is to eliminate the checkboxes as the triggers to place the Quantity amount into Qty1, Qty2, Qty3 text fields as I make the selections. Is there a script that would enable me to simply have the drop down populate the text fields if Qty1 is filled in (and likewise for Qty2 and Qty3 fields). Or am I stuck and have to use the checkboxes to trigger? If this is possible can someone shed some light so I can see how it can be done? Thank you.

I have a checkbox that the user can click, which will open another PDF form for them. I put the code below as a javascript action on the checkbox. It works for PC users, but not for Mac users.var document = app.openDoc("/internal.location.com/mke/Group/user forms/Advertising/Site Email Request Form/Z_Blank Form/email request form.pdf");I verified the path of the PDF that I want the checkbox action to open by using "this.path" in the debugger (Acrobat DC on a Mac). I had the "Advertising" volume mounted on the Macintosh. When I ran the "this.path" command, it returned   Advertising/Site Email Request Form/Z_Blank Form/email request form.pdf  The above code only works on the PC not the Mac. Is it possible to get the checkbox script to work with both a PC and a Mac? What changes do I need to make? Based on the results from running "this.path" on the Mac, it looks as though the script should work as is,since the path is valid, or does it have to match exactly what this.path

I'm having problems with a PDF form in Acrobat Reader on IOS. There's a function to set a checkbox value based on which range a field's value is within. There are 3 ranges (55 or less; more than 55 up to 85; more than 85). The corresponding values in the checkboxes are 'A', 'B', 'C' (they originally had the range description, but I simplified it to a single letter for debugging purposes). If the value is 0 then I set the checkbox to 'Off'Everything works properly in acrobat, but on IOS, it seems to be completely intermittent. I added a field to create my own 'debugger' on iOS, and I'm populating it with the values that of the field, the range value that needs to be set in the checkbox, and the actual value of the checkbox.Value: 60Range Value: "B"Checkbox Value: "B"Each line is added to the text field right after the variable or checkbox value is set in the function. Hello folks.I'm attempting to pull the file folder in which my PDF is contained into a text field. I'm assuming there is a way to do this in the document javascripts, but I cannot seem to figure it out.Is there way to either:1) determine the folder name in which the PDF is located and push that into a text field (e.g., the fold name is "412" and that's what I'd like in the text field), or2) Remove a portion of the file name itself, and push what's remaining into a text field (e.g., the file name is "Review Documentation 412" and I want "412" to appear in the text field.If it matters, I'm using Acrobat Pro CC.Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I need help with the proper javascript for a multi-page form where only page 1 of 3 pages needs to be submitted by email when the user clicks on the email button I added at the bottom of page 1.  Right now it creates & emails a .pdf containing all 3 pages when the user clicks on the email button.  Page 1 is the form itself [to be completed & digitally signed by the user] and pages 2 & 3 are just informational & I don't need or want page 2 & 3 to be part of the emailed .pdf.  I know absolutely nothing about javascript so I'll take whatever help I can get.I don't know how to attach/insert the .pdf file to this message for you to review it.

I have a custom form built in PDF and I need the user to be able to type in their Dollar amount at the top ( $10,000) and then have the corresponding breakdowns for each month - i.e. 5.5% of $10,000 in January, 6% of $10,000 in February.Is this possible?
